FAQs

I at it on a flat surface, but the button on the bottom won’t press in to start the heater. Do I need to return it? Frustrating.****

If it’s on carpet, it will not work. I had to put a small board underneath of mine when it’s on my carpet to get the button to press in. Any other hard floor surface works fine.

What temperature is thermostat minimum?****

I’ve found the thermostat inconvenient. At the very lowest setting, it turns on at about 59° and off at about 65°.

How many amps dose this draw?****

Divide the wattage by 120 and you will have the amps.

Filter for Lasko 75420?****

No, no filter. It does have to be plugged directly into the wall outlet though. You cannot use an extension cord or a surge protector.

Replacement knob****

We never looked into getting a replacement know. By the time it broke it was already like 14 years old.

how many Square feet does it cover****

We have one in each bedroom that are approx. 13 x 13 feet and it warms up nicely if door kept closed. I also have one in my bathroom which is 6 x 9 and after heating up, I turn it down low because too warm.

does auto shut off mean you would have to manually turn back on?****

If the heater noted here reaches the temperature setting you have desired on the unit, it will cycle itself on and off automatically. If the unit shuts off due to overheating or blockage of airflow, the unit would need to be manually turned back on if the safety feature is engaged.

Question for the Seller/Manufacturer: In what country is this made/manufactured?****

China.

Actual cord length 8 feet, or is it 85 inches and they rounded up like some others?****

I measured the cord to be 8 feet. The unit is working well.

does it have a handle to carry from room to room?****

The heater has a handle built into the back of it. I am using it in my master bathroom and it is very powerful. Great little heater.

Is this safe to use in a medium-size bathroom?****

For safety reasons, this unit should not be used in wet or damp locations. It is not rated for bathroom use because the internal components are not sealed and the plug is not grounded. If you want a heater that is approved for bathroom use, we recommend checking out the Lasko CD08200.

It’s not working on flat surfaces because the tip feature on the bottom never pushes in. Anyone else have this issue?****

In addition to the surface level being flat, it also must be solid for the tip switch to work. Please try relocating the product to a different area/surface to see if that helps to resolve the issue.

Is there a way to actually turn this off other than unplugging it or putting the thermostat at the lowest?****

Yes, there is. If you check the left turn knob, it starts with 0, then next to 0, shows a little fan, then numbers 1 and 2. So, turn the left knob to the 0 position. That turns it off. The red light will stay on because there’s power connected to it. Just like all appliances.

How many amps dose this draw?****

The 754201 draws 12.5 amps on HIGH and 7.5 amps on LOW.

There are four color choices on this heater. why only gray mentions heating coverage 300 sq. ft? what is heating coverage for the rest colors?****

All four have the same watt ratings, so likely all will heat the same.
