FAQs

how much air does this move****

It moves air in pretty good, but of the three I purchased one did not work at all and the other two do not reverse. They only blow air in. It is hot where I live so I ended up putting them in facing out.

What is the cfm rating ?****

The CFM on High is approximately 560 and on low it is approximately 396.

Is the fans motor waterproof? Any issues using it on rainy days?****

No issues using it on rainy days, as they are using the “patented BLUE PLUG”! The fuse is designed to pop if there is too much power draw, like a GFCI, but when it pops, the device is useless unless you replace the Blue Plug, and that’s if you know to even look. A proper GFCI plug would solve the problem long term.

How do you turn off the thermostat so fan will run below 60 degrees?****

60 degrees is the lowest setting but you can run it below 60 but you cannot use the thermostat.

So you need a smart phone for the fan to work?****

No, it works just fine by using the buttons on the fan. There is an app but I didn’t use it at all last summer.

Does this come with the feet and extension panels? Mine arrived with no feet, extension panels and no instruction booklet!****

Mine had everything. Feet, extension panel and instructions.

Can you set this fan to be on all the time?****

Yep! I run mine 24/7. Use the button to the immediate left of the display. If you set a temperature, it will shut down if it reaches that. In our case, that meant it was turning on and off every few minutes. Once I figured out to use the fan speed button, it worked great!

Can I use this fan for an outside non-waterproof greenhouse?****

I doubt this fan will handle any kind of humidity. Mist in the air etc. Better off with a thermostat-controlled greenhouse fan designed for that purpose. Buy nice or buy twice I say.

Can another fan be stacked on top one fan? In a horizontal position, can I add another of these fans on one in the window?****

I do not believe so. The bottom is pretty flat. The top has a gradual sloping to the center top at the back. The bottom has a ridge that travels all the way around the unit wide enough to fit in a windows tracks.

My window width is 52″. Can I purchase extra extender panels?****

Didn’t see an option to.

Does the Bluetooth feature work while away from home?****

No. That’s not the way Bluetooth works. It would have to be connected to wi-fi with that feature.

Can you use it in vertical position since my window slides only to the left to make an opening?****

Yes, it fits nicely in the vertical position in your window. That’s how I use mine.

Does fan have an electrical plug and have to plugged in b4 Bluetooth is enabled?****

There is an electrical plug that goes into a standard 120V wall outlet. This must be plugged in and the fan turned on before syncing the Bluetooth functionality to your smartphone.

Can I leave the screen in?****

I did, the unit is slim enough to not need to remove screen.

Can this be installed vertically? I have a window, in my basement office, that slides left/right.****

Yes, I got same kind of windows!! Just make sure window is long enough.
