The use of such devices may create a fire hazard. Plug unit directly into a 120v wall outlet only.
- faulty wall outlet connections may cause the wall outlet to overheat. Be sure that heater plug fits tightly into outlet before each use. During use, check to make certain the heater plug is not overheating. If necessarily have a qualified electrician check and/or replace the wall outlet. Do not use this heater with any solid-state speed control devices.
- Make certain that the power source conforms to the electrical requirements of the Heater.
- Extreme caution is necessary when any Heater is used by or near children or invalids. The Heater should not be left operating unattended. Never leave children unattended when the heater is on or plugged in.

FAQs
How much did this heater increase your electricity bill?****
I actually DECREASED my monthly electricity bill for my two-bedroom apartment by over $50 by using this heater, coupled with a timer to shut the heater off when I don’t need it running.
will this automatically shut off, if it over heats or if it’s tipped over? thanks.****
Mine tipped over and kept oscillating and full heat face down into my purse on the floor. It melted everything in there….my glasses, credit cards, lipsticks, etc. I am glad that I woke up. There was no auto shut off, alarm or reduced heat.
does it start automatically at night if I set the temperature before I go to sleep?****
There is a knob/dial on the right side that should turn the unit on/off so the room stays at a set temperature, but it does not work the way it is supposed to. The room will be too hot before it shuts off and too cold before it starts up again. I definitely do not advise leaving it running when you go to sleep.
can you mount this on a wall or something?****
The heater does not have any mounting holes. The internal fan, which is quite a good size (and VERY quiet), draws in air from the back through an approx. 5″ round vent.
Is it quiet?****
Yes, very quiet.
Can I use this with a 24-hour timer? I want it to only turn on from 4-5AM as I’m getting ready for work.****
There would be no problem using a timer as long as it is rated for the power output of the heater the unit has 900 watts setting at 1500 watt. That is about 8 amps for low power and 13 amps for the high power. Be sure to get a good timer that is grounded. It’s all a safety thing. Good luck and keep warm.
Does it have an overheating shutoff?****
Yes, it has a built-in safety features such as overheat protection, safe ceramic element and cool touch housing.
I want a heater that will draw under 1000 watts. Does keeping it at a low temperature have anything to do with the current it consumes?****
You can use it on low, which is 900w. Yes, current in wattage will be 1400 if you place the heater on the “high” setting so keeping on low will save electricity.
how long would it take to heat a room 11X11 in well insulated house?****
I’m not really sure. I use it at my desk at work. I cannot imaging using it as the sole source of heat for an entire room. That being said, it’s much better than the space heater that I use at home as a supplemental heat source to warm my living room.
how long is the power cord?****
I’d say about 3 ft… I haven’t used mine for a while though.
Do these work well/safe in bathrooms?****
Amazon and others sell a 750/1500-watt heater specifically made for bathrooms that works great for me. It is a different brand, Lasko. Search on amazon for bathroom heater.
Would this work in a well pit where the water pump is located to keep it from freezing in Northern Minnesota where it gets -30 below?****
Umm that sounds dangerous but it Definitely gets pretty hot and if it over heats it supposed to automatically shut off and you have to unplug or something to reset it. In the end its your risk.
If it get knocked over will it automatically turn off?****
Just got it…WAS going to use it for camping but it does NOT turn off if tipped over…sending it back.
Does it rely on the fan to send out the warm air? Does the surface get hot? Is it safe to touch while it’s working?****
Yes, the fan must be operating for the heater to work. If the fan was disabled I am sure the unit would overheat and automatically turn off to prevent a fire (most newer heaters have this feature built in). The surface is not terribly hot, even the front of the heater where the air comes out can be briefly touched without burning you.
Does it have a grounded (3 prong) power plug?****
No, it does not. It is just 2 prongs.
