HIGH/LOW RECORDS
High and low readings are captured from three 12-hour blocks of time, starting at the time batteries are installed. At the end of each 12-hour block of time the product examines highs and lows from the past three 12-hour blocks of time (or 36 hours) and displays the highest and lowest readings. The high and low records displayed are always taken from within a minimum of 24 hours and a maximum of 36 hours.

FAQs
accuracy?****
You might want to check out my review of this product (written 11/17/15). I bought 3 of these, compared them to each other for accuracy in temp and humidity and gave detailed results.
I’d like to know if it also makes the measurement in degree Celsius.****
No, it doesn’t 🙁 Celsius x 9/5 + 32.
does the unit have a backlight? Thanks****
Assuming they has back light -I bought 3, a flashlight in a necessity at night, and they make cute paper weights!
Does the HIGH/LOW reset automatically? I need one that doesn’t reset until I reset it.****
It uses three 12-hour time blocks (36 total hours) per the 7/19/16 response and automatically resets.
how accurate is the humidity?****
well not having another one to place side-by-side it’s hard to say. But, my reading dropped when I added a gold stick, and then added a can of silica gel, and it dropped some more. added another can of silica gel, and it registered another drop. staying around 45-47% now. Easy to read, and record the low and high in temp, and humidity.
Can the humidity be calibrated?****
The answers that say “no” are technically correct, but there’s a hack you can do that works well enough. If you place the humidity monitor in a closed container with moist salt (the consistency of wet sand) the ambient humidity will be a guaranteed 75%.
Hi, does anyone know if this will work properly with an NiMH rechargeable AA battery (1.2V)? Thanks in advance.****
I’ve been using my Eneloop AA rechargeable in my two units for at least 2 years. They work just fine. I guess I never got around to reading the fine print. Regardless, I will still use the rechargeable.
Any reason that a pack of one is $10 and a pack of 2 is $42?****
I saw that too — it makes no sense — so I bought 2 individually.
What is this made of? I can’t tell if the black part is rubber or hard plastic.****
The black part is hard plastic. The monitor feels substantial.
I bought this product. Right now, it says humidity is 51 and “low.” Isn’t 51 fine and not low at all? I’m wondering whether this thing is working.****
The “thing” is working. According to my experience in my house, 50 % is low. Humidity varies in relation to which part of the world you are in. We live near the sea and the average humidity here at this time of the year is in the 70’s. If you live near a desert the readings will differ.
Can it be mounted on a wall?****
Not with the mount that comes with it. Magnetic or a clip.
Is it calibratable? Thanks!****
It is not calibratable.
how does this measure humidity and temperature? is there sensor points that I can attach somewhere or does it just sense the area around it? this is f****
Just pop in a battery and it begins reading the temp/humidity of the location where it is located. It remembers and reports the high and low readings for each 24-hour period. There are no remote sensors that come with it. I’m not sure that this model even offers that option as a separate purchase.
what is the lowest humidity reading it will read?****
The lowest I have seen is also 16%, but this is relative to the temp. as the instructions stated. I keep the temp. between 75 and 79 and have seen as high as 35%
How long does it take to get an accurate humidity reading?****
I noticed it come to a reading within 2-3 minutes of installing the battery. Temp was almost instantly, but I noticed the humidity adjust to what another meter was reading very quickly.
