Overview
Welcome to the Nodestream RiS Quad Encoder (NQER)
Please read these instructions carefully before using this product and save
this quick start guide for future reference. See the User Manual for full
details via the QR code on the back page.

IMPORTANT: 100-240VAC 47/63HZ only (UPS recommended).
Do not use the Display Port or HDMI for output to a monitor. (Use the Mini- Display port only).
Front Connections
Installation
The NQER is designed to be mounted in a standard 19” Rack and occupies 3U of space
Ensure there is adequate spacing around the NQER device for cooling. Cooling air travels in the direction as shown by the arrows. No vertical loading on the NQER device.

Configuration
Access via Web Browser
- Connect the RIS Quad Encoder to your LAN via the Ethernet port and power the device.
- Navigate to the device from a web browser by entering the IP in the address bar.
The device is set to DHCP by default. The IP address can be identified by use of a suitable IP scanning tool. Serial number and/or MAC address should be displayed
Access via the Device
- Connect LAN, monitor, and keyboard/mouse, and power the device.
- Once the device has booted, double-click the “RiS configuration” icon on the desktop or hold CTRL and press.
Complete Configuration
- Login with – User: admin, Password: admin.
- When prompted, enter a new password.
- Configure device network settings as provided by your Network Administrator.
- Once connected and configured on your local network, the device will show online in the Harvest RiS Deliverer application.
- RiS networks require specific port settings, see the user manual for details
- Devices need to be manually added to the Deliverer application. See the Deliverer User Manual for more information
