Quick Start Guide
Overview
Welcome to the Nodestream RiS Quad Decoder (NQDR) Please read these
instructions carefully before using this product and save this quick start
guide for future reference. See the User Manual for full details via the QR
code on the back page.

IMPORTANT: 100-240VAC 47/63HZ only (UPS recommended).
Do not use the Display Port or HDMI for output to monitors. (Use the Mini-
Display port only).

Installation
The NQDR is designed to be mounted in a standard 19” Rack and occupies 3U of
space
**** Ensure there is adequate spacing around the NQDR device for cooling.
Cooling air travels in the direction as shown by the arrows.
No vertical loading on the NQDR device.
- Install at 4 mount points
- Connect
Configuration
Access via Web Browser
- Connect the RIS Quad Decoder to your LAN via the Ethernet port and power the device
- Input the IP address into the address bar of a web browser
The device is set to DHCP by default. The IP address can be identified by use
of a suitable IP scanning tool. Serial number and/or MAC address should be
displayed
Access via the Device
- Connect LAN, monitor, keyboard/mouse and power the device
- Once the device has booted, double click the “RiS configuration” icon on the desktop or hold CTRL and press ~
Complete Configuration
- Login with – User: admin , Password: admin
- When prompted, enter a new password
- Configure device network settings as provided by your Network Administrator
- Once connected and configured on your local network, the device will show online in the Harvest RiS Deliverer application
• RiS networks require specific port settings, see user manual for details
• Devices need to be manually added to the Deliverer application. See Deliverer User Manual for more information

Troubleshooting

AC connected and switch is in the on position
No display output| Video output device not connected or powered on| Confirm

Network issue (Device showing “offline” in Deliverer application)| Network not
connected Network settings incorrect Device IP address incorrect in Deliverer
application| Check Ethernet cable is connected and enabled
Check network settings, contact your network administrator to diagnose network
Confirm IP address of device matches that set in Deliverer
Forgot login or network details| N/A| Factory reset to defaults (see User
Manual)
