SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Do not dismantle the product or try to modify it in any way—the risk of serious personal injury.
  • Keep out of the reach of children. The product is not a toy. There is a lot of tension in the washing line when it is drawn out. Always keep a firm grip on the line when pulling it out and rewinding it. Never release the line so that it winds back out of control on its own — the risk of personal injury and/or material damage.

SYMBOLS

Read the instructions.

TECHNICAL DATA

Length when pulled out: 12 m

MOUNTING

  1. Choose a place fit the product. Hold the bracket on the product firmly and level against the mounting surface. Mark out the position of the two screw holes with a pencil. FIG. 1
  2. The two supplied screws can be used to fasten it to wood. If the product is to be fixed permanently in place, screw in the screws all the way. If the product is only going to be put up when needed, screw in the screws so that the product sits firmly in place but can be unhooked. If the product is to be fastened to metal, brick or plasterboard the fasteners for this can be purchased separately, for example from an ironmonger. FIG. 2 FIG. 3
  3. Mount the screw hook at an appropriate distance from the mounted product. The screw hook should be mounted at the same height as the line underneath the line drum. Check that the product is firmly in place before pulling out the line to use it. FIG. 4 FIG. 5

USE

  1. Grip the end eyelet on the line, pull out the line, and hook it onto the screw hook.
  2. Stretch the line and turn it a full turn round the line fastener underneath the drum. Let any surplus length of line run back into the drum. Check that there is enough of the line (a full turn) round the line fastener. FIG. 6
  3. To wind in the line release it from the line fastener underneath the drum, grip the end eyelet and unhook it from the screw hook. Do not let go of the eyelet, walk slowly towards the drum and allow the line to slowly and smoothly rewind into the drum.

MAINTENANCE

  • The line should be rewound in the drum when the product is not in use.
  • Clean with a damp cloth. Do not use strong or abrasive detergents.
