  • NOTE: you can also clean these parts in the dishwasher

  • Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.

  • USING THE APPLIANCE

  • Place the appliance on a flat, stable, heat resistant work surface away from water splashes.

  • THIS IS AN AIR FRYER AND WORKS ON HOT AIR. DO NOT FILL THE PAN WITH OIL OR FRYING FAT.

  • DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ON TOP OF THE APPLIANCE, THIS DISRUPTS THE AIR FLOW AND AFFECTS THE HOT AIR FRYING RESULT.

  • Connect the power supply cord to an electrical socket.

  • Carefully remove the basket using the handle from the fryer. Do not use the rapid air fryer without the non-stick basket, ensure that it is properly and securely fitted before turning on the rapid air fryer.

  • Place the drip tray into the base of the basket and place your ingredients into the basket on top of the drip tray.

  • NOTE: You can add a teaspoon of oil or oil spray to your ingredients depending on the type of food you are cooking.

  • Make sure you put the oil on the ingredients and not the basket.

  • NOTE: Never fill the basket beyond the MAX indication or exceed the amount indicated in the table as this could affect the quality of the end result. · Slide the basket back into the Air fryer.

  • CAUTION: Do not touch the outer basket during and sometime after use as it gets very hot. Only hold by the handle.

  • Turn the temperature control dial to the required temperature.

  • To switch on the appliance, turn the timer dial to the required preparation time.

  • Add 5 minutes to the preparation time when the appliance is cold. Note: the air fryer will not heat if
the timer dial has not been set.

  • The power LED will illuminate and the air fryer will begin to heat up. The light will not
illuminate until the basket is fully closed. · During frying, the LED will cycle on and off to ensure the desired temperature is maintained.

  • Some foods may require shaking half way through the cooking time. Remove the basket by
pulling the basket handle out of the hot air fryer. Shake the cooking compartment gently and then slide it back into the air fryer.

  • NOTE: When the draw is pulled out of the appliance the power light and air fryer will turn off. The timer will continue to count down whilst the basket is removed. · The air fryer will resume heating when the basket is placed securely back into the fryer.

  • One beep will sound when the set air frying time has expired.

  • Allow cooked food to rest for 5-10 seconds before removing the basket drawer from the air fryer.

  • Once the food is cooked, remove the basket and empty the contents on to a bowl or plate. Use a pair of heat resistant tongs (not included) if the food is large or fragile. CAUTION: do not tip food directly into a bowl or onto a plate as excess oil may collect at the bottom of the drip tray.

  • The air fryer will turn off automatically.

  • The power light will turn off once the timer runs out.

  • When you have completed all air frying turn both the temperature control dial to 0 and timer dial to OFF.

TIPS

This air fryer is great for when you want to eat fried food but with a lower fat content. It can also bake or roast and many snacks that can be prepared in an electric fan oven can be cooked in this air fryer. For air fryer recipes/techniques/specific cooking times, consult a specialist recipe book. Some general advice follows:

  • If making homemade fries/potato wedges, wash and dry the potatoes and toss in spoonful of cooking oil to coat the fries before placing into the frying basket.
  • For crispier fries, cut chips into smaller sticks or coat with more oil.
  • Do not overfill the frying basket and separate food where possible. Take care not to fill the basket beyond 2/3 full for most foods.
  • Rinse raw starchy foods (e.g. potatoes) with water and pat dry to help prevent them from sticking together.
  • After frying, do not leave the food in the frying basket for too long as the steam will soften any coatings.
  • Raw foods usually require frying at a lower temperature than cooked or partially cooked foods.
  • The cooking time will vary according to the shape, thickness and composition of the food.
  • Smaller pieces will cook quicker than larger pieces. For best results, ensure pieces of food are similar in size.
  • Arrange the food with spaces between them so hot air can pass through.
  • Cook foods with a lighter flavour before those with stronger flavours to help prevent flavour taint.
  • The air fryer can also be used to reheat small quantities of food. Set timer for 10 minutes and the temperature to 150°C. Always check food is piping hot before eating.

FRYING CHART

  • All the times stated in the table are a guide only – always check that the centre of the food is piping hot.
  • The times will vary according to personal choice, size or thickness of food being cooked (e.g. one large piece will take longer to cook than several smaller pieces of an equivalent weight) and the starting temperature of the food (fridge or room temperature).
  • Always check food packaging for any recommended cooking times and temperatures stated.
