Product Information: SMART MULTIMEDIA MICHIGAN CITY 800 W
The SMART MULTIMEDIA MICHIGAN CITY 800 W is a car radio that is
designed with established safety guidelines to provide safety to
the user while driving. However, dangers may still occur if the
safety notes in the manual are not observed. It is recommended to
read the manual carefully prior to using the car radio and keep it
in an easily accessible location. The radio unit must be installed
in a DIN slot in a vehicle with 12V vehicle system outage and the
output limits of the car radio should be observed. It is not
recommended to dismantle or modify the car radio. Installation and
repairs, if necessary, should be performed by a specialist. The
product manual may be updated from time to time without any
notice.
Product Usage Instructions
Radio Mode
To enter Radio Mode, touch Radio icon on the Main Menu. The main
menu displays the following functions:
- Seek down
- Preset Station List
- Radio frequency
- Seek up
- FM/AM Band Switch button
- EQ Mode button
- Keypad button
- Auto Store button
- Setup button
To store a station, select a station and touch and hold the
desired preset number for 3 seconds. To recall a stored station,
select a band (if needed) and touch the preset button on which the
corresponding radio station is stored or press the number button on
the Radio panel.
USB Media Mode
The USB Media Mode supports the following audio and video
formats:
- Audio: MP3, CDA
- Video: MP4, AVI
The USB Media Mode displays the following functions:

Adjust desired track time by dragging the small button on the
progress bar line to left or right. -
Track info.

EQ: Select to adjust Equalizer setting.

List: Show the track list.

<: Return to previous track or press & hold to
rewind. -
/ : Play or pause the track.

forward. -
Repeat a folder or track.

The Settings Mode allows you to change settings such as setting
the clock, turning On the Bluetooth function, adjusting the screen
brightness, setting the audio, screen calibration, etc.

Safety Notes This car radio has been manufactured according to established
safety guidelines. However, dangers may still occur if the safety notes in
this manual is not observed. This manual is intended to familiarize the user
with the car radio’s important functions. Read this carefully, prior to using
the car radio. Keep this manual in an easily accessible location. In addition,
do observe the instructions of the devices used in conjunction with this car
radio.
Road Safety Always observe the following notes for road safety: · Car radio
must be used in a way that
compliments safety of the user when driving the vehicle. It is recommended for
the user to park at an appropriate location when operating the car radio.
While driving, user is not recommended to use applications that can be prone
to distraction e.g. streaming to medias etc.
· User is advised to keep the volume of the car radio to a moderate level for
the protection of the ears and to increase the ability to hear any emergency
warning signals (e.g. police and ambulance sirens). Do not increase the car
radio volume while the car radio is muted as it is not audible. The car radio
volume can be too loud when the car radio is unmuted.
General Safety Notes: Observe the following for protection against injuries: ·
This car radio is intended for installation and
operation in a vehicle with 12V vehicle system outage, hence the radio unit
must be installed in a DIN slot. Observe the output limits of the car radio.
Do not dismantle or modify the car radio. Installation and repairs, if
necessary, should be performed by a specialist. We are not liable for any loss
or damage caused or resulting from unauthorized disassembly or modification to
the product.
· This car radio’s core components may result to damage when the car is driven
on bumpy roads for a prolonged period of time or if it is used to play non-
standard or severely damaged discs.
· Please do not operate the car radio under extreme temperature conditions
(extremely high temperature or extremely low temperature); make sure that
temperature within the car ranges from -20°C to 70°C before you connect the
car radio to the power supply.
· For abnormalities, please refer to the “Troubleshooting” section. If the
problem cannot be resolved, please press the Reset button to recover its
factory settings. Otherwise, please contact respective installer/seller
directly for help.
· As SD/USB file formats, codecs, bitrate, resolution and other parameters
available in the market are not all the same, there is no guarantee that this
car radio can play all media file formats. Different cars may have different
configurations. It is normal that some CAN-Bus functions cannot be enabled
because it is not supported by the user’s car or this car radio.
· Solvents, cleaning and scouring agents as well as dashboard spray and
plastics care products may contain materials which can damage the surface and
screen of the car radio. Use only dry or slightly moistened cloth to clean the
car radio surface and screen.

Home Page
Auto Tuning · Press the seek icon ( or ) on the TFT
Monitor screen to increase / decrease the · tuning frequency one step at
0.1MHz

FM and AM · Touch the “BAND” on the screen to change
among the following bands: FM-1, FM-2, FM-3 or AM-1 and AM-2.
Radio To enter Radio Mode, touch “Radio” icon on the Main Menu.

Preset Stations · Six(6) stored stations for the current band
appear on the screen, touch the preset directly for use or press the number
buttons located on the head unit.
Storing a Station 1. Select a station. ( Example: FM1 103.6MHz ) 2. Touch and

Bluetooth) “MICHIGAN CITY 800 W” should appear on your available Bluetooth
scanning list.
· Select “MICHIGAN CITY 800 W” then insert password “0000”, if password is
required. Select confirm buttons when pairing prompt message appear. It will
appear in white colour in the Home Page when pairing successful.

Wireless Connection

relies on the performance of your phone. If you experience performance issues:

reconnect your phone using the Apple Lightning cable that was provided with

recognition system is disabled and you will be using Siri to make your

Apple CarPlayTM uses Siri to perform many actions like sending messages,
placing calls, and looking up/setting POI/Destinations. A Siri session can be
initiated on any screen by: · Touching and holding the Home icon on the
CarPlay screen or · Pressing the Voice Command Button on
panel or Sterying Wheel, then say any of the following commands: · “Text
Apple Maps · Navigate your way by using Apple Maps or
any other third party navigation app (e.g., Waze). · Navigation app will
display your destination and route options.
