B Product usage
Before first use
  • Clean the unit before first use ( → CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE ).
  • Do not place the unit on a hot surface such as a stove or near the edge of a countertop where it could accidentally fall off.
  • Find a location for the unit that is on a stable, level, heat-resistant, non-slip surface.
  • The unit may give off a little smoke or a slight odour on the first use. This is normal due to its newness and will go away with regular use. Alternatively, you can turn the unit on for 10 minutes prior to use to remove the smell and smoke.

Setting up the air fryer

  1. Using the handle, pull out the pot.
  2. Insert the metal rack into the pot.
  3. Slide the pot back into the bottom of the main body until it clicks into place.
Operation

WARNING - RISK OF BURNS!

  • Make sure children are kept a safe distance away from the unit at all times when it is being used and when it is cooling down.
  • Never pour oil or fat into the pot. It is designed to fry the food using hot air that circulates from the top to the bottom of the unit. If necessary, you can very lightly coat food with oil to help it crisp up.
  • Make sure there is sufficient ventilation (at least 10cm) around the unit.
  • Never move the unit when it is in use or cooling down.
  • Never use the unit without the pot in place.
  • Never touch the unit anywhere except for the handle or knobs when it is warming up, in use or cooling.
  • During cooking or when removing the pot, be careful of steam that may be emitted from the vents/air outlets on the pot. Keep your face and hands away from steam.

NOTE:

  • Do not place anything on top of the unit as this disrupts the air flow and affects the cooking results.
  • When using the unit and for 10 minutes after cooking, we recommend that you open a window or turn on an extraction fan to keep the room odour-free.
  • When the unit is completely cool, use the handles on the bottom of the unit to carry and move it.

1. Unwind the power cord completely.
2. Plug the power cord into a mains socket. Make sure the power cord does not come into contact with the exterior of the unit as this will become hot during use.
3. Using the handle, pull out the pot.
4. Put the ingredients on the metal rack. Make sure the volume of the food does not exceed the MAX mark.
5. Slide the pot back into the bottom of the main body until it clicks into place and is properly closed.

NOTE:

  • Refer to the AIR FRYING GUIDE section below for assistance in setting the cooking time and temperature. It takes the air fryer approximately 3 minutes to preheat. You can either place food in the air fryer before preheating and factor in the preheating time to your overall cooking time, or you can wait for the air fryer to preheat and then add the ingredients into the air fryer.
  • The air fryer will not work if the pot is incorrectly placed in the main body. Make sure the front cover is flush with the main body and that the pot clicks into place when inserted.

6.  Turn the timer knob clockwise to the desired cooking time (in minutes). The air fryer immediately starts to count down the set time. The red power indicator light turns on to show the unit is turned on. Then turn the temperature knob clockwise to the desired cooking temperature (°C). The green working indicator light turns on to show the unit is heating up. Once the air fryer has preheated and reached the set temperature the green working indicator light turns off.

NOTE:

  • During cooking, the green indicator light will go on and off as the unit maintains the cooking temperature.
  • Make sure all food is cooked thoroughly before eating.

7. To prevent some foods from sticking together and ensure even cooking, you may need to give the ingredients a shake during cooking. To do this, hold the pot handle and carefully pull out the pot, keep your face/skin away from any steam that may escape. Give the ingredients a shake or turn them over and then place the pot back into the main body. Cooking will automatically resume when the pot is reinserted. Avoid shaking food for longer than 30 seconds, as the air fryer will start to cool down.
8. When the cooking time has finished, a bell will sound. Check the ingredients are cooked. If more cooking is required, slide the ingredients back into the air fryer and set the time for a few more minutes.
9. To cancel cooking at any time, turn the timer knob anti-clockwise to the OFF position. A bell sounds to confirm the air fryer has turned off.
10. When the food is cooked, remove the pot using the handle. You can remove the ingredients with silicone tongs or a wooden/silicone spatula. Always use a heat-resistant mat when placing the air fryer pot on a countertop.
11. After one batch of food has cooked, you can immediately start to cook another batch of food.
12. When you have finished using the air fryer, always make sure it is turned off and unplug it to completely disconnect it from the power supply.

WARNING - RISK OF BURNS!

  • Do not turn the pot upside down with the metal rack still in place as excess oil may have collected in the bottom of the pot and could splash out and cause injury.

NOTE: When cooking fatty or greasy foods, some oil or fat will drop into the base of the pot and may heat to a point that it creates a white smoke. This does not affect the air fryer or the end result.

Tips

  • For best results when making fresh chips or crisps, use potatoes that are suitable for making chips. Rinse the cut potatoes in cold water to remove some starch. This helps to stop them sticking together when frying. Dry thoroughly, then lightly coat with oil and cook.
  • Do not leave fried foods in the pot for too long as the residual heat may soften them.
  • Cooking smaller batches of food will produce crispier and more evenly cooked food. If your food is not sufficiently crispy, try lightly coating it with oil and/or increasing the cooking temperature.
  • Oil sprays are an effective way of applying small amounts of oil evenly to all food items.
  • When you are cooking different types of foods, always air fry the food that requires the lowest temperature setting first.
  • Some foods, such as a steak, will benefit from turning over during the cooking process to ensure even cooking.
  • Pat marinated foods dry before air frying to prevent splatter and excess smoke during cooking.
  • Do not tip ingredients out of the pot as oil/fat and cooking juices that have collected in the pot will pour out over your food, making it greasy and soggy.
  • For foods that require shaking, you can set the timer to half the cooking time to alert you when to shake. Then reset the timer again for the remaining cooking time.
  • Use pre-made dough to prepare filled snacks quickly and easily.
  • To reheat ingredients, set the temperature to 150°C for up to 10 minutes.
C Cleaning and maintenance
Cleaning and maintenance

WARNING!

  • To prevent the risk of electrocution, turn off and unplug the unit from the wall socket before cleaning.
  • Allow the unit to cool down completely (at least 30 minutes) before cleaning. Removing the pot helps to cool down the air fryer faster.
  • Do not immerse the power cord, plug, or main body in water or any other liquids as they contain electrical components. Do not rinse them under the tap.
  • Never use solvents, chemical or abrasive cleaning agents, wire brushes, sharp objects or scouring pads to clean the unit.

Disassemble the unit and clean after each use as follows:

Parts Cleaning method
Main body exterior Main body interior (the part that houses the pot only)

Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry.
Pot Metal rack| Clean with warm soapy water and dry. To remove stubborn stains, soak the parts for 10 minutes.
NOTE: Clean thoroughly to prevent a build-up of dirt that may create smoke when cooking.
Heating element| Use a soft brush to remove food residues.

Troubleshooting
Problem Possible cause Solution
