Safety instructions
- PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE UNIT AND KEEP THEM FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
- Please refer to the unit’s instructions for use for cleaning and maintenance details.
- This unit can be used by children aged 8 years and over, provided they are being supervised, have been instructed on how to safely use the unit and are aware of the dangers involved. Cleaning and maintenance operations must not be performed by children unless they are over the age of 8 and being supervised. Keep the unit and its cable out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.
- This unit may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they are being supervised, have been instructed on how to safely use the unit and are aware of the dangers involved.
- Children must not play with the unit.
- Please take care to install this unit as specified in its instructions for use.
- The power plug must remain accessible or a switch must be installed in the fixed wiring, in accordance with the installation rules, in order to allow the unit to be disconnected from the mains supply at all times.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or a similarly qualified person in order to prevent any risks.
- This unit is intended for household use. It is not intended for use in similar applications, such as:
- The kitchen areas for staff who work in shops, offices and other work environments.
- Farm houses.
- Guests in hotels, motels and other residential-type environments.
- Bed and breakfast-type environments.
- This unit has not been designed to be submerged in water during cleaning operations.
- If the unit is intended for use with a mobile connector socket with a built-in thermostat, only the appropriate mobile connector socket should be used.
For kettles:
- If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected. For kettle with a lid aperture which is situated below the handle:
- CAUTION : Do not remove the lid when the water is boiling.
- WARNING : Put the lid on in such a way that the steam is not directed towards the handle.
For cordless units:

The unit must only be used with its corresponding base.

WARNING : Make sure that the unit is switched off before removing it from its base.
For espresso coffee makers with a pressure tank: -

CAUTION : The water filler must not be opened during use.
For all units:
- CAUTION : Make sure that nothing spills onto the connector.
- For details on how to clean surfaces that come into contact with food, please consult the instructions for use.
- CAUTION : Risk of injury in the event of misuse.
- The heating element’s surface retains residual heat after use.
For all coffee makers:
- The coffee maker must not be used inside a cabinet.
- User cleaning and maintenance operations must not be performed by unsupervised children.
WARNING : Very hot surface. If this symbol is found on the unit, it means that the surfaces may become very hot when the unit is in use.
- WARNING : Do not use the appliance if the surface is cracked.
- This unit is intended for domestic food preparation only and not for commercial or industrial use.
- Remove all the packaging before installation.
- WARNING : Keep packaging materials and accessories out of the reach of children. Never allow children to play with the packaging or accessories.
- Check that the voltage indicated on the nameplate corresponds to the voltage in your home.
- Under no circumstances should the housing be opened. Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the unit’s openings, and do not block the air vents.
- DANGER : Never use the unit outdoors.
- DANGER : Do not connect the unit to the mains with wet hands… you risk receiving an electric shock.
- The power cable should be arranged in such a way that it does not touch any parts of the hob or nearby appliances that may get hot.
- The unit must not be connected via an extension cord or multi socket.
- WARNING: Do not bend, crush or jam the power cable behind the unit.
- Leave enough space behind the unit to avoid direct contact with the mains socket.
- CAUTION : This unit must not be powered by an external switch, such as a timer, a separate remote control or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the electricity supplier.
- Never disassemble or modify the unit.
- Any thorough cleaning and/or maintenance-related operation must be carried out with the unit’s power plug unplugged or after the power supply has been cut off.
- Should a malfunction occur that cannot be resolved by the information provided in the unit’s instructions for use, please contact the after-sales service.

unit, should it ever be passed on to third party.

This product is guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase
against any nonconformity resulting from a manufacturing or material defect.
This guarantee does not cover any defects or damage resulting from the
improper installation, incorrect use or abnormal wear and tear of the product.
