INSTRUCTION MANUAL
ATTENTION! BEFORE USING THIS TOOL, READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL CAREFULLY!
General
The telescopic platform is a foldable working platform with foldable
telescopic ladder sections which, thanks to its unique structure, can be
expanded from a compact state (Fig. 1) to a platform with three different
working heights and many different working lengths.
This user manual accompanies this product. Contains important safety and usage
information.
Before using the product, please read the user manual carefully. This applies
in particular to safety warnings. Failure to follow this user manual may cause
serious injury or damage.
The user manual is based on the standards and regulations in force in the
European Union. Outside the European Union you must also comply with country-
specific guidelines and laws.
Please keep the user manual for future use. If you pass this product on to
someone else, be sure to include this user manual.
Working height
The telescopic platform has three different working heights. The rungs of the telescopic ladder sections automatically lock when extended. The scale can go from a compact state (Level 1) (Fig. 1) to the fully extended state (Level 3) (Fig. 3) or to the intermediate state (Level 2) (Fig. 2).
Working length
The telescopic platform has many different working lengths. It can be extended from a compact state (Fig. 4) to the fully extended state (Fig. 6) or to many intermediate states (Fig. 5).
Telescopic ladder section Locking mechanism
The telescopic platform is equipped with two locking mechanisms at both ends
of the platform, which lock the sections of the folding telescopic ladder.
Each locking pin is connected to a locking lever.
The locked (Fig. 7) and unlocked (Fig. 8) state can be visually verified on
the outside of the hinge.
Rung locking mechanism
The rung of the telescopic ladder section features two steel locking pins that
automatically snap into place when the ladder section is extended into the
correct position.
Each locking pin is connected to a locking lever to indicate the locked
status. The sliding locking levers are against the end of the peg meaning the
locking pins are locked (Fig. 9).
Otherwise it means that the locking pins are released. (figure 10).
Platform locking mechanism
The platform is equipped with a locking mechanism that locks the sliding platform. Pulling and turning the locking knob can lock the platform (Fig. 11) or release it ((Fig. 12).
BEFORE USING
– Make sure that the product is suitable for the respective job;
– Carry out a risk assessment considering the legal requirements of the
country of use before using a platform for work.
– The platform must be used in combination with the stabilizer on the foot if
provided.
– Check that the folding tubes/legs (rising parts)/rungs/platform/support foot
are not bent, bent, distorted, dented, cracked, corroded or deteriorated.
– Check that the attachment points with other parts on the folding
tubes/legs/rungs/platform/support foot are in good condition.
– Check that fasteners (usually rivets, screws, bolts) are not missing, loose
or corroded.
– Check that the folding tubes/legs/rungs/platform/support foot are not
missing, loose, worn, corroded or damaged.
– Check that the locking mechanisms and locking indicators work correctly, are
not missing or loose, worn, corroded or damaged and that the rung elements
lock correctly.
– Check that the rubber feet are not missing, loose, worn, corroded or
damaged.
– Check whether the locking indicators work and are visible.
– Check the brackets for cracks and other defects such as broken parts.
– Make sure there is no relative movement between the support beams and the
rungs.
WARNING! The points must be examined before using the telescopic platform. If any of the tests described above give an unsatisfactory result, DO NOT use the telescopic platform!
Mounting the stabilizer
– Place the platform on its back. Press the locking button on the telescopic
ladder section and open the platform legs (Fig. 13).
– Place the stabilizer on the support foot so that the mounting holes of the
stabilizer and the support foot are aligned, and then secure the screws with
the tools (Fig. a).
WARNING! NEVER use the telescopic platform without the stabilizer.
Telescopic platform opening/lifting
Open the sections of the telescopic ladder
– Place the platform on its back. Press the locking button on the telescopic
ladder section and open the platform legs (Fig. 13), which will automatically
lock when the telescopic ladder section opens into the correct position. Check
and make sure each section of the ladder is securely locked (Fig. 7).
– Rotate the platform upwards, the platform is now raised to level 1 (Fig. 1).
Raise the platform to level 2, the intermediate height:
– Open the highest part of the ladder. Hold one end of the platform with one
foot on the bottom rung. Grasp the platform firmly and pull it upwards while
keeping the central rung locked (Fig. 14).
– Extend the telescopic ladder section to the other end of the platform in the
same way.
– When opening the ladder to a different level, make sure the locking buttons
on both rungs align with the end of the rung and lock.
Raise the platform to level 3, the highest height:
– Hold one end of the platform with one foot on the bottom rung. Grasp the
platform firmly and pull it upwards. Continue pulling out the tubes until the
ladder is fully extended (Fig. 15).
– Extend the telescopic ladder section to the other end of the platform in the
same way.
– When opening the ladder to a different level, make sure the locking buttons
on both rungs align with the end of the rung and lock.
WARNING! The telescopic platform must always be correctly locked during use. Always check that the rung locking mechanism, platform locking mechanism and telescopic ladder section locking mechanism are locked before using them.
Lower the platform
Lower the stairs to level 2, the middle height:
– Unlock and collapse the ladder section at one end of the platform starting
from the lowest section.
– Unlock one lock at a time with one hand while holding the platform with the
other hand (Fig. 16).
– Similarly release and close the ladder section at the other end of the
platform.
– If you wish to use the platform on level 2, ensure that the lowest section
of the telescopic ladder is closed.
– After checking that all open sections of the ladder are locked, you can use
the platform.
Lower the stairs to level 1, the lowest height:
– Unlock and collapse the ladder section at one end of the platform.
– Unlock one lock at a time with one hand while holding the platform with the
other hand (Fig. 17).
– Similarly release and lower the ladder section at the other end of the
platform.
– After checking that all open sections of the ladder are locked, you can use
the platform.
WARNING! Do not place your hands on or between the rung sections when unlocking and closing.
Adjust the length of the platform
– Pull and rotate the locking knob to the released position and extend the
platform to an appropriate length (Fig. 18).
– rotate the locking knob and then slightly adjust the length of the platform
to ensure that the platform is locked well (Fig. 19).
Close the platform
– If necessary, clean the platform and the telescopic ladder section.
– Lower the folding platform to level 1 (see the “lowering the platform”
section above).
– Reduce the folding platform to the shortest length (see the section on
“Adjusting the platform length” above).
– Turn the platform to the back.
– Simultaneously press the locking button of the telescopic ladder section and
fold the ladder section.
The ladder section will automatically lock in the closed state. Check that
each leg is well locked (Fig. 20).
– Similarly release and lower the ladder at the other end of the platform.
