Wire connection

  1. Rogowski coil
  2. fastener
  3. connection cable
  4. plug

Description

The arrow located on the closure unit indicates the direction of current flow. The current is assumed to flow in the positive direction if it flows from the source to the receiver. Such a test direction is required for correct power measurement.
The output signal is provided by a 2.5 meter long lead with a pin adapted to the socket in the meter.

F-xA coil
Flexible coils F-1A, F-2A and F-3 (Rogowski coil) are used to measure alternating current in the range from 40 Hz to 20 kHz and current up to 3000 A (10 kHz peak at 50 Hz)
The only difference between The flexible coils F-1A, F-2A and F-3A is the size of the coil. The electrical parameters are the same.
The output signal if the voltage is proportional to the derivative of the measured current, where the sensitivity is equal to 38.83 mV/1000 A for 50 Hz and 46.6 mV/1000 A for 60 Hz.

F-xA1 coil
Flexible clamps (Rogowski coil) F-1A1, F-2A1 and F-3A1 are probes with double increased sensitivity compared to F-1A/F-2A/F-3A, which translates into a halved measurement range for current up to 1500 A
output signal is a voltage proportional to the current derivative measured with a sensitivity of 77.66 mV/1000 A for 50 Hz and 93.19 mV/1000 A for 60 Hz

Coil F-xA6 coil
Flexible probes (Rogowski coil) F-1A6, F-2A6 and F-3A6 are clamps of double reduced sensitivity compared to F-1A/F-2A/F-3A, which translates into double measurement range for current up to 6000 A.
Signal The output is a voltage proportional to the current derivative measured with a sensitivity of 19.415 mV/1000 A for 50 Hz and 23.3 mV/1000 A for 60 Hz

safety

NOTE!
Non-insulated coils must not be used for conductors with a potential exceeding 1000 V with respect to earth, in systems with measurement category higher than III and systems of measurement category IV with a potential exceeding 600 V.

Operation

To measure the current, open the coil slightly by turning the clamp, clamp them on the conductor with a flowing current and center the conductor approximately with respect to the loop of the coil. Pay attention to the direction of the arrow, to avoid power measurement error.
NOTE!
Follow the instructions for mechanical limitations of the coils. Mechanical damage to the coil is not covered by the warranty.
NOTE!
Follow the instructions for mechanical limitations of the coils. Mechanical damage to the coil is not covered by the warranty.
Do not pull with force

Do not forcefully bend

Do not pack in a bent position

Cleaning and maintenance

**NOTE!**
Apply only maintenance methods specified by the manufacturer in this manual.
Apply only maintenance methods specified by the manufacturer in this manual.

Before cleaning, disconnect the coil from the circuit under test and the meter.
The reel can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth using all-purpose cleaners. Do not use any solvents.

Dismantling and utilization

Used electrical and electronic equipment must be collected selectively, i.e. it must not be placed with other types of waste.
Worn electrical equipment must be sent to a collection point in accordance with the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Waste Law.
Before sending the equipment to a collection point, do not disassemble any elements. Pay attention to local regulations regarding packaging disposal.
