Safety precautions
This product complies with the requirements of the following directives of the European Union for CE conformity: 2014/30/EU (electromagnetic compatibility), 2014/35/EU (low voltage), 2011/65/EU (RoHS).
For the operational safety of the appliances and to avoid serious injuries due
to current or voltage flashovers or short circuits, the following safety
instructions for operating the appliances must be observed.
Damage caused by failure to observe these instructions is excluded from claims
of any kind.
General:
- Read these operating instructions carefully and make them available to subsequent users.
- Always observe the warning notices on the device; never cover or remove them.
- Pay attention to the protection class when using the device.
- Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device and its accessories before using it.
- Do not operate the device unattended or only when it is secured against unauthorised access.
- Only use the device for its intended purpose and pay particular attention to the warning notices on the device and information on the maximum input and output values.
- Power supply units can heat up during operation! Always ensure good ventilation and never cover the ventilation slots of the device to prevent heat build-up.
- Never touch any heated heat sinks on or in the device and allow the device to cool down after operation.
- Power supply units can be very heavy and cause damage or injury if dropped. Ensure safe handlingand only carry the device using the handle provided.
Electrical safety:
- Before connecting the devices to a power socket, ensure that the voltage setting on the devices matches the existing mains voltage.
- Only connect appliances to sockets with “PE” protective earthing and earthed neutral conductor.
- The appliance must be set up in such a way that the mains plug can be removed from the socket outlet at any time.
- Do not insert any metal or other conductive objects through the ventilation slots!
- Do not place any liquids on or next to the appliance (risk of short circuit if the container tips over)!
- Voltages below 25 VAC or 60 VDC are generally considered safe to touch, voltages above 50VAC and 120VDC are considered dangerous voltages.
- This power supply unit outputs a safety extra-low voltage “SELV” of less than 50VAC or 120VDC.
- If several devices are connected in series, the output voltage can increase and become a dangerous voltage.
- Never touch live, electrically conductive connections on the device or the mains supply.
- Work on dangerous voltages may only be carried out by or under the supervision and instruction of authorised specialist personnel.
- Wear suitable protective equipment when working on hazardous voltages and observe the relevant safety rules.
- Do not exceed the maximum permissible input values under any circumstances (risk of serious injury and/or destruction of the device)
- Disconnect the mains cable and all connecting cables before moving the device.
- Laboratory power supplies are not designed for charging batteries. Such use can lead to serious damage to the device or, if handled incorrectly, to explosion or fire of the battery, which are excluded from claims of any kind.
- Inductive loads, such as some electric motors, can run on after being switched off and generate a reverse voltage that can damage the appliance. Ensure correct use!
Measuring environment:
- Avoid any proximity to explosive and flammable substances, gases and dust. An electrical spark could cause an explosion or deflagration – danger to life!
- Do use in corrosive environments; the device could be damaged or contact points inside and outside the device could corrode.
- Avoid working in environments with high interference frequencies, high-energy circuits or strong magnetic fields, as these can have a negative effect on the device.
- Avoid storage and use in extremely cold, damp or hot environments, as well as prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
- Only use the device in dust-free and dry indoor areas.
- Before starting operation, the device should be stabilised to the ambient temperature (important when transporting from cold to warm rooms and vice versa) to prevent the formation of condensation.
Maintenance and care:
- Never operate the appliance if it is not completely closed.
- Check the appliance and its accessories for damage to the insulation, cracks, kinks and breakages before each use. If in doubt, do not use the appliance.
- Only replace defective fuses with a fuse that corresponds to the original value. Never short-circuit the fuse or fuse holder.
- Clean the housing regularly with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use corrosive abrasive cleaners. Carefully remove dust and dirt from the ventilation openings with a hoover when the appliance is switched off.
- Do not make any technical changes to the appliance. Any technical modifications will immediately invalidate the warranty and can lead to various hazards.
- The appliance may only be opened and maintenance and repair work may only be carried out by qualified service technicians.
Introduction
Digitally controlled, high-precision DC power supply with variable voltage and Current setting. An advanced microprocessor controls the generation, display, control and protection of output voltage and current. This technology improves the accuracy of the generation and control of the output voltage and current and it also facilitates the operation and the reading of the values.
Henceforth should be emphasized that the voltage can be fixed over the whole range, making the convenience is increasing and unnecessary, inaccurate, steps can be prevented.
Caution!
The PeakTech® 6075 provides a keylock function. Please read chapter 5.5 on
page 25 for more detailed information.

Select the master channel (CH1) to adjust the output voltage and output current. The slave output is automatically synchronized to the master output.
Dual Power Supply in Parallel Mode
-
Press the [PAR] button, the LED will light (PAR) and the unit is now in the parallel mode.
-
Changes in voltage – and current values of the master output are taken from the slave output.
The output voltage at the slave output is automatically synchronized to the set value. In parallel outputs of the maximum output current is 10 A. -
In the PAR-mode (parallel operation) connect your circuit to the output sockets “-” CH1 [12] and “+” CH1 [11].
-
Select the master channel (CH1) to adjust the output voltage and output current. The slave output is automatically synchronized to the master output.
Additional functions

READ: You can recall saved presets for current and voltage that were previously saved using the “SAVE” function.
When there is no other key operation status, press the [8] “READ” key to enter the memory function: then select the memory group number (total 4 data memory groups) by entering any number between 1 and 4 to select the corresponding array, and then press the “ENTER” key to read out the corresponding array data.
CAUTION
- In the event of a short circuit at the output the current will limit at the value set by the current controls, however the unit should be turned off and the short circuit removed before continuing use.
- The mains power must be switched off before servicing and servicing should be referred to a qualified person.
- The unit should be stored in a dry and well ventilated place and the power cord removed if storing for long periods.
- If the unit is not a long time in use, unplug the power connector from the device
