WARRANTY
GENERAL WARNINGS
RISK OF PHYSICAL INJURY!
Do not use in the presence of children or animals. Store out of reach of children and animals.
DANGER OF MATERIAL DAMAGE!
Make sure that no one can trip over connection cables of the device. The device could be knocked over.
Only use the recommended power supply unit or the recommended rechargeable battery/batteries for the power supply!
The manufacturer accepts no liability for voltage damage caused by the use of unsuitable and/or unauthorized components for the power supply!
DANGER OF AN ELECTRIC SHOCK!
This unit contains electronic parts that are powered by a power source (AC adaptor or batteries). Only use the device as described in the instructions. Otherwise there is a risk of an electric shock.
Never bend, squeeze or pull power cables, connecting cables, extensions or
connectors.
Protect cables from sharp edges and heat.
Check the device, cables and connections for damage before use.
Do not use the device if is damaged or contains damaged live parts! Damaged parts must be replaced immediately by an authorized service centre.
Operate the device only in a completely dry environment and do not touch the device with wet or damp body parts.
RISK OF GLARE!
Make sure that people and animals do not look into the light. The high luminosity can cause glare to the eyes and afterimages. This impairment of vision can lead to accidents.
FIRE/EXPLOSION HAZARD!
Always place the device in such a way that it cannot tip over and ensure that it is stored in an appropriate safe place.
- Keep children and animals away from the device! They could knock the device over.
- Make sure that no one can trip over connection cables of the device. The device could be knocked over.
- Do not expose the device to high temperatures. Do not short-circuit the device or dispose of it in fire! Excessive heat and improper handling can cause short circuits, fires and even explosions!
- Only use the recommended power supply!
IMPORTANT NOTE!
Never take the device apart. In the event of a defect, please contact your
dealer. They will contact the Service Centre and can arrange the return of
this device for repair if necessary.
Disconnect the power supply by pulling the mains plug when the appliance is not in use, in case of a longer interruption of operation and before any maintenance and cleaning work.
Place your device so that it can be disconnected from the power supply at any
time. The power outlet should always be near your appliance and should be
easily accessible, as the plug of the power cord serves as a disconnect device
from the mains supply.
To disconnect the unit from the mains, always pull the mains plug and never
pull the cable!
Do not subject the device to excessive vibrations.

CONNECTING THE POWER SUPPLY & SWITCHING ON/OFF
IMPORTANT:
- This LED light can be operated either with a V-mount rechargeable battery*, with two NP-F970 type rechargeable batteries or using an external power supply unit. Simultaneous operation with both battery variants and/or the power supply unit is NOT possible.
- It is NOT possible to charge the battery/batteries via the power supply!
- Simultaneous operation can lead to over voltage, which can result in damage to the light!
- Before commissioning, insert the desired battery/batteries* OR install the power supply unit and only then switch on the light!
OPERATION VIA NP-F970 TYPE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES* (OPTIONAL)
IMPORTANT:
Only use the recommended battery type! The manufacturer accepts no liability
for voltage damage caused by the use of unsuitable or unauthorized batteries*
for the power supply!
Note:
To ensure a sufficient power supply, two NP-F970 batteries* must always be
inserted in the holders.
- Insert the NP-F970 battery* into the holder (8) at the edge opposite to the metal contacts and then slide it towards the contacts so that the notches on the side of the battery reach under the corresponding catches on the holder.
- Move the on/off voltage selector switch (13) to the ‘I’ (DC) position to switch the light on. The last setting is displayed on the LED screen and the light operates according to the last setting.
- To disconnect the power supply, move the on/off voltage selector switch (13) to the ‘0’ (off) position.
- To remove the battery, push the battery gently to the right or left and pull it out of the holder (8).
POWER SUPPLY VIA V-MOUNT BATTERY* (OPTIONAL)
IMPORTANT:
Only use the recommended battery type! The manufacturer accepts no liability
for voltage damage caused by the use of an unsuitable or unauthorized battery*
for the power supply!
- Slide the V-mount battery* into the V-shaped holder (16) from the right so that the power contacts of the battery reach the voltage socket (7) on the opposite side.
- Move the on/off voltage selector switch (13) to the ‘I’ (DC) position to switch the light on. The last setting is displayed on the LED screen and the light operates according to the last setting.
- To disconnect the power supply, move the on/off voltage selector switch (13) to the ‘0’ (off) position.
- To remove the battery*, press and hold the battery release button (14) and pull the battery to the right out of the holder (16).
POWER SUPPLY VIA THE SUPPLIED POWER SUPPLY UNIT
IMPORTANT:
Only use the supplied power supply unit and the corresponding cables! The
manufacturer accepts no liability for voltage damage caused by the use of
unsuitable or unauthorized components for the power supply!
- Insert the 2-pin power plug (22) of the power supply unit (21) into the 2-pin power connection socket (20) on the back of the light. Screw the knurled cap onto the thread on the power connection socket.
- Insert the C7 device plug (25) of the mains cable (24) into the C8 connection socket (23) of the power supply unit.
- Insert the Euro mains plug (26) into the power outlet (mains voltage: 100-240V).
- Move the on/off voltage selector switch (13) to the ‘II’ (AC) position to switch the light on. The last setting is displayed on the LED screen and the light operates according to the last setting.
- To disconnect the power supply, move the on/off voltage selector switch (13) to the ‘0’ (off) position.
- To disconnect the device from the mains voltage, first pull the Euro mains plug (26) out of the power outlet and then remove the 2-pin power plug from the light.
FUNCTIONS & OPERATION
A wide range of functions can be set for this LED light using the two setting modes “CCT” and “HSI”.
- If necessary, briefly press the [MODE] button (9) several times to switch between CCT mode and HSI mode.
- In CCT mode, the color temperature (in K) and the intensity value (in %) are displayed. These and other settings can be made here (see below).
- In HSI mode, the RGB hue (, in degrees), the saturation (, in %) and the intensity (in %) are displayed. These and other settings can be made here (see below).
LIGHT SETTINGS
- Briefly press the [MODE] button (9) to switch to CCT mode.
- Turn the left adjustment knob (11) to set a color temperature between 2700K and 9999K.
- Turn the right adjustment knob (19) to set the brightness between 0% and 100%.
RGB COLOUR SETTINGS
- Briefly press the [MODE] button (9) to switch to HSI mode.
- Turn the left adjustment knob (11) to set the desired RGB color tone () between 0° and 360°.
- Turn the right adjustment knob (19) to set the color intensity between 0% and 100%.
- Press the left adjustment knob (11) to switch to the color saturation setting.
- Turn the left adjustment knob (11) to set the desired color saturation
SPECIAL EFFECTS SETTINGS
Special effects part 1 (F1-12)
- In CCT mode, press the [MODE] button (9) for about 3 seconds to switch to the mode for special effects F1-12.
- Turn the left adjustment knob (11) to set one of 12 special effects (left display value).
- Turn the right adjustment knob (19) to set the brightness for the selected special effect between 0% and 100%.
- Briefly press the left adjustment knob (11) to access the intensity settings.
- Turn the left adjustment knob (11) to set the intensity of the selected effect between 1 and 9.
Special effects part 2 (F1-F8)
- In HSI mode, press the [MODE] button (9) for about 3 seconds to switch to the mode for special effects F1 F8.
- Turn the left adjustment knob (11) to set one of 8 special effects (left display value).
- Turn the right adjustment knob (19) to set the brightness for the selected special effect between 0% and 100%.
- Briefly press the left adjustment knob (11) to access the intensity settings.
- Turn the left adjustment knob (11) to set the intensity of the selected effect between 1 and 9.

CHANNEL SETTING
For this LED light, a channel can be set for synchronisation with other luminaires and thus controlled via 2.4G remote control*.
- Press the [CH] button (18) to enter the channel setting mode. The display flashes.
- Turn the right adjustment knob to set a channel between 1 and 99.

Read the section “Remote control” in these instructions!
APP CONTROL
With the free “Smart Life” app, these and other devices can be controlled via a smart device (e.g. tablet PC, smartphone).
To connect the studio light to a smart device and the app, follow these steps.

Note:
To be able to use the app, you must register with a valid e-mail address, via which you will receive an activation code. Give the app access to your local network and your home’s data as well as to the Bluetooth function to ensure that it works properly. -
Switch on the studio light.

Press the Bluetooth button (10) for about 3 seconds to activate the Bluetooth connection for the studio light.

Activate Bluetooth on your smart device and launch the ‘Smart Life’ app.

Select the [Add device] option under the “Home” section in the app.

Select the studio light from the list of available devices to connect it to your smart device and the app.
As soon as the studio light is connected, you can control the device via the app.
Note:
If the connection fails, add the desired device manually via the app. Select one at > [Add device].
ADJUSTING THE TILT ANGLE
- Hold the LED light firmly and slowly loosen the locking screw for the tilt joint (2).
- Bring the light head into the desired position and hand-tighten the locking screw (2) again.
*MOUNTING ON A TRIPOD(optional)
* Loosen the fastening screw (4) for the tripod connection (3) so far that
the opening of the tripod connection is exposed.
Place the LED light with the opening on the Spigot adapter of a tripod* and
tighten the fastening screw (4).
*REMOTE CONTROL (2.4G, optional)
** This light can be operated with the optionally available BRESSER 2.4G
remote control (Art. No. F004514), which supports multiple light control for
up to 99 channels.
Note:
Read the instruction manual for the remote control to find out more about
connecting and using the remote control.
DMX CONTROL (DMX512, optional)
This LED light is equipped with two DMX connection sockets (12) that can be
used to connect a console for DMX control via RJ45 cable.
- After connecting the DMX console, press the [DMX] button (17) to set the LED light to DMX control mode. appears in the display.
- In DMX control mode, press the [CH] button (18) to enter the channel settings. The display flashes.
- Turn the right adjustment knob (19) to set a DMX channel between 1 and 512

DISPOSAL
Dispose of the packaging materials according to their type. Observe the current legal regulations when disposing of the device! Information on proper disposal can be obtained from municipal waste disposal service providers or the Environmental Agency.
Do not dispose of electrical appliances with household waste! According to the European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment and its transposition into national law, used electrical equipment must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally sound manner.
