Instructions

When you are necessary to ship the unit store it in its original package. Save the package for this purpose.

In case of malfunction due to electrostatic discharge or fast transient (burst), remove and reconnect the power supply.

If the unit is not used for a long period of time, disconnect it from the power supply by unplugging the power plug. This is to avoid the risk of fire.

INSTALLATION
CONTENT OF DELIVERY

POWER SUPPLY
- Use only the supplied AC adaptor!
- Ensure that the voltage is the same as that indicated on the ac adapter identification plate.
- Connect the supplied AC adapter to a properly installed safety power socket and plug the cable into the DC IN jack at the backside of the unit.
- Please extend the wire antenna completely and fix it vertically.
Whenever the unit is powered on the first time or the after a reconnection to
the power supply,
the automatic update function will start automatically and the display shows
“UPDATE“. Press any key to terminate it.
Note:
- The automatic update function can take about 3-10 minutes. If the signal is received, the time will show on the display accordingly and the radio stations will be stored.
- If the automatic update system had been terminated by the user or the update failed, the date and clock default to 0:00 and year 2019.
- The time of alarm 1 and alarm 2 is default to 00:00 and inactive.
- The unit is switched off
ERP power management
The unit will turn off automatically after 15 minutes in standby mode if there
is no audio signal. To turn on the unit again press the “ / Mode” button.
BASIC OPERATIONS
POWER ON / OFF
Press the “ / Mode” button to turn on the unit.
Press and hold the “ / Mode” button to turn off the unit in standby mode.
SELECTING MODES
During play, press the “ / Mode” button repeatedly to switch between the
modes.
ADJUSTING VOLUME
Press the “Vol –“ or “Vol +“ button to decrease or increase the volume.
DAB
-
Turn the unit on and press the “ / Mode” button repeatedly until “DAB” is shown in the display.
-
If no station scan is done (e.g. the automatic update function was terminated) the unit will start an automatic scan. The display shows “>>> 0”, the “>” is moving and the number shows the found radio stations.
If you want to start an automatic scan, press and hold the “AMS” button. The display will show “>>> 0” again and the unit will store all receivable radio stations. -
To listen to a scanned radio station press the “ “ or “ ” button and select the desired station. After a moment the unit plays the selected station.
Store a preset station
- Select the desired radio station.
- Press the “MEM” button and choose with the “ “ or “ ” button the station number where the radio station should be saved. You can store max. 20 radio stations!
- Press and hold the “Enter” button until “MEM” disappears at the display and “ PRESET STORED” is shown.
Recall a preset station
- Press the “MEM” button and select with the “ “ or “ ” button the desired station number.
- Press the “Enter” button to confirm the selection. The radio station will be played.
DAB Information
During DAB mode press the “Info” button repeatedly to show the following
information:
Station name Time Date Signal level Song information Genre Multiplex/frequency
Audio bit-rate Error rate.
FM
- Turn the unit on and press the “ / Mode” button repeatedly until “FM” and the last FM frequency are shown in the display.
- Press and hold the “ “ or “ ” button to start automatically tune down or up. The unit stops automatically at the next receivable radio station.
- Press the “ “ or “ ” button to tune manually down or up in 0,05MHz steps.
If you have a bad reception you can change from STEREO to MONO to improve the sound quality. Press and hold therefore in FM mode the “Menu” button, “Audio” is shown in the display, and press the “Enter” button to confirm. Select with “ “ or “ ” the stereo or mono mode and press “Enter” again to confirm.
Store a preset station / Recall a preset station Is the same as in DAB
mode.
Use AMS (Automatic memory station) mode
Press and hold the “AMS” button, the unit will start the automatic scan and
store all receivable stations.
Note: When the AMS function is activated, all stored AMS stations will be
replaced by the new radio stations!
Recall AMS Stored stations
1. Press and hold the “MEM” button and select with the “ “ or “ ” button the
desired station number.
2. Press the “Enter” button to confirm the selection.
FM Information
During FM mode press the “Info” button repeatedly to show the following
information:
Frequency Time Date Genre Signal level.
BLUETOOTH ®
- Turn the unit on and press the “ / Mode” button repeatedly until “BT” is shown in the display.
- The Bluetooth icon is flashing on top of the left corner and the unit is waiting for the Bluetooth source. When the Bluetooth device is connected with the unit, the icon will stop flashing and is shown in the display.
- Press the “ “ or “ ” button to play the previous or next track. Press the “ / ” button to play or interrupt the playback.
- When a phone call is coming in, press the “ / ” button to pick up the call. Press and hold the button again to hand up.
KITCHEN TIMER
The unit has a kitchen timer with max. 24 hours which can be adjusted in minutes. The default timer is set to 10 minutes.
Setup for easy activation for max. 1 hour.
- To activate the timer, press the “Timer/Sleep” button once. The display shows the default time of 10 minutes.
- Press the “ ” button to increase each step by 10 minutes.
- Press the “ ” button to decrease each step by 1 minute.
- Press the “Timer/Sleep” button again to start the timer.
- To stop the timer, press and hold the “Timer/Sleep” button when the timer is running.
Setup for advance activation for max. 24 hours.
- Press the “Timer/Sleep” button once.
- Press the “Menu” button to enter into the advance timer setup mode.
- To adjust the timer is the same as in easy activation.
SLEEP TIMER
During playing, press and hold the “Timer/Sleep” button. The device will activate the sleep timer and the display show “SLEEP 30”. Press the “ “ or “ ” button to select 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 or OFF and press “Enter” to confirm. If you select OFF, the sleep time is deactivated.
ACTIVATE LED LAMP
Press the “Light” button once, the lamp will lightning. Press the button again to switch off the lamp. To save energy, the lamp will automatically switch off after 120 minutes.
SETUP
Press in standby mode the “Menu” button to enter into the setup mode and the “ “ or “ ” button to select the following settings. Press “Enter” to confirm the selection. To leave the setup menu, press the “Menu” button or wait for about 10 seconds.
Set EQ (Equalizer)
The unit has 6 preset equalizer settings and one custom setting. This
setting is also possible when the device is switched on! To do this, press
and hold the “Menu” button and select the “EQ” function.
- When you have entered the EQ setting, press the “ “ or “ ” button to select one of the preset EQs (FLAT, ROCK, CLASSIC, JAZZ, POP, BASS) or the custom setting (CUSTOM) and “Enter” to confirm the selection.
- If you have chosen the “CUSTOM” setting, now you can select the setting for “BASS” or “TREBLE” with the “ “ or “ ” button and press “Enter” to confirm. To adjust the setting, press the “ “ or “ ” button and confirm with “Enter”.
Set the clock and date
- When “TIME SET” is shown in the display, press the “Enter” button to enter the clock, date, update, and format settings.
- Press the “ “ or “ ” button to select “CLOCK”, “SET DATE”, “UPDATE” or “12/24H” and press “Enter” to confirm.
CLOCK: Adjust the flashing digits (hour, minute) with the “ “ or “ ” button and confirm each with the “Enter” button.
SET DATE: Adjust the flashing digits (day, month, year) with the “ “ or “ ” button and confirm each with the “Enter” button.
UPDATE: If “F RADIO” is shown in the display, the device will automatically update the clock from DAB or FM mode (When RDS is available!). If “NO UPDATE” is shown, the device will run without automatically update. Select with the “ “ or “ ” button and confirm with the “Enter” button.
12/24H: Set the clock display in “12” or “24” hour format. Select with the “ “ or “ ” button the format and confirm with the “Enter” button.
Set SDA timer
SDA means “Special Date Alert”. It´s provided to remember favorite days. There
are 10 days for input (SDA 0-9)
- Select “SET SDA” with “ “ or “ ” and press “Enter” to confirm”.
- Select the SDA timer 0-9 and press “Enter” to confirm. The display shows “31.12.2018” and the first two digits are flashing.
- Press the “ “ or “ ” button to adjust each input (Date/month/year) and confirm with the “Enter” button.
- After finishing the display will show “EQ” again.
- To adjust another SDA timer please select again “SET SDA” follow steps 1-3.
- SDA activate time is at 8.00 AM for 10 minutes.
Set Alarm
You can set 2 alarm times on this device.
- Select “ALARM 1” or “ALARM 2” with the “ “ or “ ” button and confirm the selection with the “Enter”.
- Adjust the hour with the “ “ or “ ” button and confirm with “Enter”.
- Adjust the minutes with the “ “ or “ ” button and confirm again with “Enter”.
- Select the wake-up mode “DAB”, “FM”, “BUZ” (Buzzer), or “OFF”. The wake-up mode “DAB” and “FM” will play the last heard radio station. If you select “OFF”, the alarm is deactivated. Press “Enter” to confirm the selection.
- Now select the wake-up mode “DAILY”, “WEEKDAY”, “WEEKEND”, “SUN…SAT” DAILY: wake up every day WEEKDAY: wake up from Monday to Friday WEEKEND: wake up only on Saturday and Sunday SUN…SAT: wake up only on one day (SUN=Sunday, MON=Monday, TUE=Tuesday, WED=Wednesday, THU=Thursday, FRI=Friday, SAT=Saturday)
- Press “Enter” to confirm. Now the alarm is programmed.
If you want to program ALARM 2 follow steps 1-6. Select at step 1 the adjustment “ALARM 2”.
Set Backlight
When “DISPLAY” is shown, press the “Enter” button to confirm. Now you can
select between “AUTO DIM” and “DT”.
AUTO DIM
Press the “Enter” button to get into the Auto Dimmer setup. Press “ “ or “ ”
to select ON or OFF and press the button again for confirmation.
ON: The unit always dim the display after 90 seconds if no key is pressed and
will be brighter for 90 seconds again if a key is pressed.
OFF: The unit will always stay in brighter mode.
DT (Dimmer timer)
If “DT” is selected, press the “Enter” button to get into the dimmer timer
(DT).
Press “ “ or “ ” to select ON or OFF and press the button “Enter” again for
confirmation.
ON: The DT icon will appear on display and the display will stay on brighter
but will automatically tune to dim between 23:00 – 06:00 every day. At the
period, if any keypress, the display will be brighter for 90 seconds.
OFF: The DT icon will disappear and the device will stay on the brighter mode
of the backlight.
- The default set for this function is “ON”.
- When Auto Dim is set to ON, the DT (Dimmer Timer) function is automatically activated.
Set Automatic update time
When “UP– TIME” is shown, press the “Enter” button to confirm. Press “ “ or “
” to select ON or OFF and press the button again for confirmation.
ON: The unit will update the time by radio on 5:00 every day.
OFF: The function is disabled.
When “RESET” is shown, press the “Enter” button to confirm, the display will
show “PRESS OK”. Press the “Enter” button again, the unit will reset and set
unit into factory default.
All settings and stored radio stations will be deleted! After the reset, the
display shows “UPDATE” on the display.
Software version
When “VERSION” is shown, press the “Enter” button to confirm. The display will
show installed software version.
