INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Setup
- Connect one end of the cable to be tested to the Sniffer unit.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the Sender unit.
- Ensure both units are powered on.
Testing
- Rapidly test snake systems with the XLR Sniffer.
- The XLR Sniffer is compatible with Phantom Power for testing snake systems.
- Turn on phantom power from your console and start testing with the Sniffer.
Diagnosis
- The Sender provides power while the Sniffer instantly diagnoses the cable.
- All green LEDs indicate a functioning cable. Any other combination indicates a fault.
- Refer to the color code sticker for identifying specific problems.
Battery
- The unit uses an A23 battery located in the Sender.
- Insert the battery with the positive end pointed inwards, away from the cap.
- Twist the cap to turn the unit on or off. The Green power LED will illuminate when on.
Robust Aluminum Barrel
- The durable aluminum barrel protects the inner workings and solder joints.
- It is designed to avoid locking, allowing quick testing of each channel.
