Posey 6000S Skin Sleeves Protectors
DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT
Posey Skin Sleeves Protectors are non-compression soft cotton/nylon/ spandex knitted skin coverings for arms.
INTENDED USE
Skin Sleeves are intended to act as a protective layer to protect fragile skin from tears and abrasions while also protecting IV sites and dressings on the arm.

FITTING GUIDELINES
Actual fit will depend on individual arm measurements and patient comfort
level.
Posey Skin Sleeves Protectors will stretch.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Beginning with upper arm opening, roll the inside edge of the Skin Sleeves Protector outward; continue to roll until you reach the thumb opening.
- Slip the arm opening of the Skin Sleeves Protector over the patient’s hand, fitting the patient’s thumb through the thumb hole.
- Unroll the Skin Sleeves Protector up over the arm. Adjust to desired placement.
- If desired, the Skin Sleeves Protector may be applied beginning above the wrist so that the palm remains uncovered.

PRECAUTIONS
The higher the degree of stretching, the tighter the fit on the patient’s arm.
This device is designed for use in normal indoor environments. This device may
be stored in ambient temperatures at normal humidity levels. Avoid excess
moisture or high humidity, which may damage product materials.

Home Care Setting: Assess skin under the Skin Sleeves Protector at least daily or if any discomfort, swelling, or irritation occurs. If unsure of frequency of assessment based on your medical condition, consult with you healthcare provider.

Inspect before each use: check for broken stitches or parts; or torn, cut or frayed material;
DO NOT use soiled or damaged products. -
Hospital Facility: Properly dispose of the product per facility policy for biohazardous materials.

Home Care Setting: Devices should be placed in securely sealed bags or containers and disposed of in wastebin per local regulations for medical waste. These devices should not be recycled.
