Product Usage Instructions

Tools Needed for Installation:

  • T30 torx
  • 8/10/13mm wrench or ratchet
  • 18 mm socket with extension
  • Wire crimpers
  • Panel removal tool
  • 2 and #3 screwdriver

  • Air saw and safety equipment

Panels and Dash Disassembly:

  • Removal of Passenger Seat: Use appropriate tools to remove the passenger seat and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
  • Unscrewing Panels: Carefully unsnap console panels and unscrew T30 torx screws located under the dash.

Wiring Installation: Connection Steps

  1. Connect the Low-Level Harness outputs.
  2. Connect the blue wire labeled AMP TURN-ON to the amp turn-on wire.
  3. Connect front and rear outputs from the MR1 power harness to the amp inputs.

Dash Kit Installation: Installation Process

  1. Set the base plate on the dash and press drill guides onto it.
  2. Drill pilot holes using a 1/8 drill bit.
  3. Open up the pilot holes with a 1/4 drill bit.

TOOLS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION

  • T30 torx
  • 8/10/13mm wrench or ratchet
  • 13mm wrench or ratchet
  • 18 mm socket with extension
  • Wire crimpers
  • Panel removal tool
  • 2 and #3 screwdriver

PANELS AND DASH DISASSEMBLY

  • A. To remove the passenger seat, use a 13mm socket and wrench to remove front (2) bolts and nuts, and use an 18mm socket to remove (2) rear nuts and seat belt nut (repeat on another seat). With the passenger seat removed, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
  • B. Carefully unsnap console panels by hand or with a panel removal tool.
  • C. Unscrew (2) T30 torx located on the center console panel under the dash. Use a panel tool to remove push pins on the passenger side.
  • E. Remove the gas cover on the passenger side to expose a 10mm nut. Unscrew with a wrench and T30 torx driver.
    • E2. Using the panel removal tool unsnap (2) push clips on the driver and passenger side dash covers. Unscrew the (4) T30 screws on the passenger side, and (7) T30 screws on the driver side.

WIRING INSTALLATION

H1. Connect the Low-Level Harness outputs to the  500.1 amp inputs.

  * H2. Connect the blue wire labeled “AMP TURN-ON” from the MR1 power harness to the blue 500.1 amp turn-on wire.
  * H3. Connect the front (white/gray) and rear (green/ purple) outputs from the MR1 power harness to the inputs of the 300.4 amp.
  • I. Connect the power and ground for the MR1 on the power strip located on the passenger side of the center console. Unscrew the top post, remove the nut, and install the black-ground wire terminal. Replace the nut. Unscrew the center post, remove the nut, and install the red-battery power wire terminal. Replace the nut.

DASH KIT INSTALLATION

  • J. Set the base plate on the dash. Press the (4) drill guides onto the base plate
  • K. Using a 1/8” drill bit, drill the center of the drill guides to provide pilot holes. Limit the speed and depth of the drill bit to avoid damaging any wiring.
  • L. Set aside the base plate and open the pilot holes up with a 1/4” drill bit.
  • M. Reset the base plate, and trace the outline of the baseplate circle.
  • N. Cut out the traced circle. Limit the speed and depth of the cutting device to avoid damaging any wiring.
  • O. Place (4) M6 T30 screws and washers into each drilled hole. Fasten from the bottom a washer and M6 nut. Secure each screw with a 10mm wrench and T30 torx driver.
  • P. Using a #2 phillips screwdriver, secure the front of the base plate with the provided (2) #6 x ½” screws.
  • Q. Route power harness and all related accessories out of the cutout.
  • R. Place the DMR1 over the base plate with the harness routed out of it.
  • S. Connect the MR1 and all related accessories (S1). Connect the Low-Level Harness RCA inputs to the MR1 “Rear/Sub Line Out” RCA outputs (S2).
  • T. Connect the MR1 and all related accessories. Place the MR1 into the DMR1. When placing the MR1 into the dash mount, feed slack wiring back into the dash cavity cut out. This will allow for proper fitment of the MR1.
  • U. Secure the MR1 with the (4) M3.5 screws provided with the MR1. The top (2) screws will thread into the DMR1. The lower (2) screws will go through the DMR1 and into the threads of the base plate.
  • V. Secure the backside of the DMR1 with (2) push pins.
  • W. Center the trim ring on the MR1 and firmly press down until the side and corners click into place. Re-install all factory dash panels.
