Product Usage Instructions

MAVERICK X3 DASHBOARD DISASSEMBLY

TOOLS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION:

• T20 & T30 Torx Driver
• 8, 10 & 13mm Socket Wrench

1. Remove the top dash panels:

   • Driver side: 7 screws with 2 clips
   • Passenger side: 5 screws with 2 clips

2. Remove the switches: Depress the locking tabs
   on the back of the switches on the lower left of the driver side
   dash panel.

3. Unplug the Smart-Lok module connector: Located
   on the driver side dash panel.

4. Remove the Smart-Lok module bracket:

   • Flip the panel and remove the 4 8mm hex head screws holding the
     bracket.

   • Remove the screws holding the Smart-Lok module to the
     bracket.

   • Mount the Smart-Lok module to the relocation bracket
     [B-MB3546].

5. Remove front bolts on steering column bracket:
   Remove the 2 front 13mm bolts.

6. Plug in Smart-Lok module connector.

7. Slide in vibration dampening loop clamp:
   Attach it to the front tube.

8. Mount Smart-Lok relocation bracket:

   • Attach to steering column bracket using the 2 13mm bolts. Do
     not tighten yet.

   • Bolt front side of relocation bracket to clamp using provided
     T20 bolt, washer, and nut [B-HP3551].

   • Sandwich the washer between the bracket and the locknut.

9. Tighten bolts: Tighten the 2 13mm bolts on the
   steering column bracket.

10. Mount speakers and install dash panels.

TOOLS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION – T20 & T30 Torx Driver

A. Remove the top dash panels on the driver (7 screws with 2 clips) and passenger side (5 screws with 2 clips).

B. Remove the switches on the lower left of the driver side dash panel by depressing the locking tabs on the back of the switches.

C. Unplug the Smart-Lok module connector on the driver side dash panel.

D. Flip the panel and remove the (4) 8mm hex head screws holding the Smart-Lok module bracket to the dash panel.

E. Remove the (4) screws holding the Smart-Lok module to the bracket. These screws will be reused.

F. Reuse the (4) screw from step E to mount the Smart-Lok module to the relocation bracket [B-MB3546].

G. Remove the (2) front 13mm bolts on the steering column bracket.

H. Plug in the Smart-Lok module connector.

I. Slide in the vibration dampening loop clamp on the front tube.

J. Mount the Smart-Lok relocation bracket to the steering column bracket using the (2) 13mm bolts. Do not tighten the bolts yet.

K. Bolt on the front side of the relocation bracket to the clamp using the provided T20 bolt, washer and nut [B-HP3551].

K1. Sandwich the washer between the bracket and the locknut.

L. Tighten the (2) 13mm bolts.

M. Mount the speakers and install the dash panels.
