Installation:

Tools Needed for Installation:

Phillips Screw Driver
3mm and 16mm Drill Bit
Drill
Pry Tool
Pick Tool

Overhead Console Disassembly:

A. Use both hands and grab the back edge of
the overhead console. Pull down firmly until the back side snaps
loose. Slide the console forward towards the windshield.
B. Disconnect the harness from the
console.
C. Remove the sunglass holder using a pry tool
to unsnap the left side.
D. Mark drill points on the overhead console
using a pick tool inserted into the screw posts.
E. Drill 3 holes using a 3mm drill bit as
marked.
F. Drill a 16mm hole for the controller cable
connector.
G. Assemble the Tundra fascia to the mounting
bracket using the provided screws.
H. Mount the ALPHA12 controller to the Tundra
fascia using thread cutting screws.
I. Insert the cable through the drilled hole
and place the controller in the sunglass holder cavity.
J. Secure the bracket to the overhead console
using screws.
K. Run the ALPHA12 controller cable along the
headliner towards the driver side A pillar and down to the
firewall.

TOOLS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION
– Phillips Screw Driver – 3mm and 16mm Drill Bit – Drill

– Pry Tool

– Pick Tool

OVERHEAD CONSOLE DISASSEMBLY

A
A. Use both hands and grab the back edge (edge closest to the windshield) of the overhead console. Pull down firmly until the back side snaps loose. Slide the console forward towards the windshield.

B. Note that the console is hooked onto the headliner with these 2 tabs. Disconnect the harness.

C. Remove the sunglass holder. Open the sunglass holder and use a pry tool to unsnap the left side (refer to picture above).

D. Insert a pick tool into the 3 screw posts circled above to mark drill points to the overhead console.

E. Mark the drill guides and drill 3 holes using a 3mm drill bit.

F. Drill a 16mm hole for the controller cable connector. Set aside the console for now.

G. Assemble the Tundra fascia to the mounting bracket using the supplied (4)

7-19×3/4″ Phillips screws (B-S1656).

H. Mount the ALPHA12 controller to the Tundra fascia using (4) 4-40x.375 thread cutting screws (B-S3262).

I. Picture above shows the orientation of the ALPHA12 controller to the fascia. Completed installation of the Gen 3 Toyota Tundra SWE12 15-Button Controller.

J. Insert the cable through the hole drilled on the overhead console and place the controller and bracket in the sunglass holder cavity.

K. Flip the overhead console upside down and use (3) #7-19×3/4″ Phillips screws (B-S1656) to secure the bracket.

L. Run the ALPHA12 controller cable along the headliner towards the driver side A pillar and down to the firewall. Use the supplied 6 foot controller extension cable and fish through the firewall grommet to the ALPHA12 brain mount location.

M. Reinstall the A pillar trim and overhead console.

SWITCH Works Brain Module Installation

TOOLS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION

– 10mm, 12mm & 13mm Socket Wrench

– Phillips Screw Driver

A. The SWITCH Works brain module is mounted on the driver side fender above the fusebox.

B
B. Mount the ALPHA12 brain module to the brain bracket (B-MB3366) using (4) M5x10mm pan head screws (B-S1158).

C. Remove the front bolt of the ABS pump bracket using a 12mm wrench.

D. Remove the horn bracket bolt using a 10mm wrench.

E. Remove the hood release cable from the cable clamp.

F. Position the horn and the ALPHA12 brackets and fasten using the horn bracket bolt. Do not tighten the bolt yet.

G. Put the upper ALPHA12 bracket tab behind the factory hood lift support shock mount and fasten using the supplied M6x12mm screw (B-S2780). Do not tighten the screw yet.

H. Position the bottom left tab of the ALPHA12 bracket to the ABS pump bracket and fasten using the factory bolt. Tighten all 3 mounting bolts to secure the ALPHA12 brain module.

I. Connect the accessories to be used to the High and Low current harnesses and plug the harnesses to the brain module.

J. Connect the ground wire from the ALPHA12 brain module to the factory grounding point on the driver side fender.

K. NOTE that the 15 button controller MUST be plugged in to the module before connecting the power cable to the battery. Run the power wire from the ALPHA12 brain module along the firewall towards the battery located under the driver side backseat [K1].

L. Fish the 4 gauge power wire through the firewall grommet towards inside the cabin .

M. Run the power cable along the doorsill towards the backseat.

N. Insert the cable under the backseat bottom panel.

O. Cut the power cable and install the provided fuseholder no more than 18″ away from the ring terminal. NOTE that the 15 button controller MUST be plugged in to the module before connecting the power cable to the battery.
