The purpose of this manual is primarily to acquaint the operator with the principles of handling the product, with its assembly/installation, with safety rules during use, maintenance, storage and transport. The manual, which is an integral part of the product, must be kept in a safe place so that the necessary information can be found in the future. When passing the product to another person, it is necessary to pass on the manual as well.

Stickers and safety labels  are an integral part of  the product. Therefore, under no circumstances should they be removed; kept them visible and clean. Replace with new ones if they are missing or damaged or no longer legible.

CONDITIONS OF USE

WARNING!
PLEASE READ THE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS! Read all instructions before operation. Pay special attention to safety instructions.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AND FAILURE TO RESPECT SECURITY MEASURES MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE OF THE PRODUCT OR SERIOUS INJURIES OR EVEN FATAL INJURY.
If you notice any damage during transport or unpacking, notify your supplier immediately. DO NOT PUT INTO OPERATION.

SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE
This product is exclusively intended for the use:

  • transportation of various objects, materials and tools
  • according to the corresponding descriptions and safety instructions in these operating instructions.
  • Any other use is not as intended.
  • If the product is used for any purpose other than the intended purpose or if unauthorized modification is made, the statutory warranty and statutory responsibility for defects as well as any liability on the part of the manufacturer will be void.
  • Do not overload! Use the product only for the powers it was designed for. The product designed for a given purpose performs it better and safer than one that has a similar function. Therefore, always use the correct one for a given purpose.
  • Please keep in mind that our products are not designed for commercial, trade or industrial use according to their intended purpose. We accept no liability if the product is used in these or comparable conditions.
  • Where it is required, follow the legal guidelines and regulations to prevent possible accidents during operation.

CAUTION!
Never use the product if it is close to people, especially children or pets.
The user is liable for all damages caused to third parties or their property.
Keep these instruction manual and use them whenever you need more information. If you don´t understand some of these instructions, contact your dealer. If the product is lent to another person, it is necessary to lent this instruction manual with it.

TRAINING
All operating personnel must be adequately trained in the use, operation and setting and especially familiar with prohibited activities.

CAUTION!
This product can be used by children older then 8 years old and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge only if are supervised by competent person or have been learned how to use this product, about safe operation and they understand the potential danger. Children are not allowed to play with this product. Cleaning and maintenance can not be done by children without supervision.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Don‘t overload the trailer, pay attention to the maximum load capacity.
  • For use towing trailer units connected with trailer, the rotation cannot be done, when the radius is less than 3 m.
  • For securing the load, use enough amount of tested and firm ropes.
  • Don‘t start the engine of the tow machine indoors (closed spaces). Flue gases contain poisonous carbon monoxide. Inhalation may lead to unconsciousness or even death.
  • You can´t transport people on the trailer.
  • Be careful on sloping terrain and off-road.
  • Maximum slope accessibility of trailer with connected towing unit is 13°. Never exceed the maximum values given by the producer for the towing machine (garden tractor etc.).
  • Make all repairs, greasing and adjustment, when the machine is in quiet position and is secured against moving.
  • Check regularly tires and pattern design. If you find the crack, bulges etc., don´t use the trailer and immediately change the tires.

UNPACKING

  • Carefully check all parts after unpacking the product from the box.
  • Do not throw away packaging materials until you have not reviewed carefully if they did not remain a part of the product.
  • Parts of the packaging (plastic bags, paper clips, etc.) do not leave within reach of children, could be a possible source of danger. There is a danger of swallowing or suffocating!
  • If you notice transport damage or while unpacking, notify your supplier immediately. Do not operate the product!
  • We recommend save the package for future use. The packaging materials must still be recycled or disposed of in compliance with the relevant legislation. Sort different parts of the packaging according to material and hand it to the appropriate collection sites. For further information contact your local administration.

Fasteners can become loose during transport in the packaging.

  • Standard accessories are subject to change without notice.
  • This product requires assembly. The product must be assembled correctly before use.

ASSEMBLY

  • FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON PAGE 6 – 7 (FIG. 3-12).
  • Install the bolts in the following sequence: bolt, material + material, washer, spring washer, nut. Always fit all the tub’s (body) bolts with their heads inside the tub (body).
  • Don’t tighten the screws immediately after positioning them, but always after removing all parts of the given part.
  • After the assembly is completed, check that all bolts are tight and also the tyre pressure (see Specifications).

ADJUSTMENTS AND OPERATION
Note: Universal garden cart can be used also as a trailer, attached to the garden tractor.

CONNECTING THE DRIVE UNIT
The drawbar is equipped with a handle, which is possible to remove after releasing of the pin (FIG. 12) and yoke the cart to compatible garden equipment. When you yoke the cart, always follow the instructions delivered together with the device, to which you are connecting the cart. The cart always must be secured against spontaneous disconnection. Always keep in mind when driving, that the cart is not braked.
The cart is not designed for the ride on the roads.

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

CAUTION!
Before each use, check the tightness of all bolt connections.

Regular care ensures proper functionality of all parts and long lifetime.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents for cleaning. This could result in damage or destruction of the trolley, especially its plastic parts.

TIRE PRESSURE
Regularly check tire pressure keep it at the specified values (see Specifications).

REPLACING AND REPAIRING THE TIRES
All puncture repairs or replacements will have to be carried out by a tire repair expert in accordance with the methods for the kind of tire used.
Use only specified tire sizes (see Specifications).

SHORT-TERM STORAGE:

  • Clean from all dirts.
  • Protect the machine from unfavorable weathering effects – danger of corrosion.

LONG-TERM STORAGE

  • Protect the machine from unfavorable weathering effects – danger of corrosiom (do not cover by) occlusive materials, increased risk of corrosion).
  • Repair damaged places from corrosion.
  • Inflate tires to the correct pressure.
  • Perform post-season lubrication.

SERVICE AND SPARE PARTS

  • In the event of a fault, we recommend having this product repaired by an authorised service centre, which uses only identical spare parts. You will maintain both the product’s safety and its performance.
  • For technical assistance, repair or to order original spare parts, we recommend that you always contact the nearest HECHT authorised service centre.

DISPOSAL

  • This product does not belong to the household waste. Save the environment and take this device to designated collection points where it will be received for free. For more information please contact your local authority or nearest collection point.
  • By ensuring proper disposal of this product after the end of its service life, you will help prevent any negative environmental and human health consequences that could result from improper disposal of this product. Improper disposal of residual oils, chemicals, batteries, product parts (and similar) can lead to pollution of watercourses, wastewater, air, soil and have negative impacts not only on the environment but also on human health.
  • Always return the packaging, accessories, refills and product for recycling.
  • Contact your local authorities or collection yards for details.
  • HECHT services can also be used to dispose of your old electrical and electronic equipment. We will carry out this process for you free of charge.

Note: Improper disposal may be punished according to national regulations.

GUARANTEE OF THE PRODUCT

  • For this product we provide a legal warranty, legal responsibility from the defects, for 24 months from receipt.
  • For corporate, commercial, municipal and other than private use we provide a legal warranty and legal responsibility for a total of 6 months from receipt.
  • All products are designed for home use, unless there is another information in the instruction manual or operation description. When using otherwise or in contradiction with instruction manual the claim is not recognized as legitimate.
  • Inappropriate product selection and the fact that the product does not meet your requirements can not be a reason for complaint. Buyer is familiar with the properties of the product.
  • Buyer has the right to ask the seller to check the functionality of the product and become familiar with its operation.
  • A prerequisite for receiving warranty claims is that the guidelines for operating, servicing, cleaning, storage and maintenance were followed.
  • Damage caused by natural wear and tear, overloading, improper use or intervention outside the authorized service during the warranty period, are excluded from the guarantee.
  • Warranty does not cover wear and tear of components known as common consumables (eg. eg. tyres, …).
  • From the warranty are excluded wear and tear of the product or parts caused by normal use of the product or parts of the product and other parts subject to natural wear and tear.
  • By the goods sold at a lower price, the warranty does not cover defects for which the lower price was negotiated.
  • Damage resulting from defects in material or manufacturer error will be eliminated free of charge by replacement delivery or repair. It is assumed that the product returns to our service center undismantled and with proof of purchase.
  • Cleaning, maintenance, inspection and alignment tools aren´t the warranty act and are paid services.
  • For repairs that are not subject to warranty, you can have it repaired in our service center as paid service. Our service center will be happy to draw up a costs budget.
  • We shall consider the products only that have been delivered clean, complete, in case of sending also packed sufficiently and paid. Products sent as unpaid, as bulky goods, express or by special shipping – will not be accepted.
  • In case of justified warranty claim, please contact our service center. There you will receive additional information on processing claims.
