  • Continuous operation with intermittent loading (4 min load – 6 min idle)
    Max. diameter of crushed branches depends on the type of wood and the condition of the material for making chaff.
    For hardwood (eg, oak / beech tree branches) is the max diameter of crushed branches less than softwood (eg pine / spruce wood). For dry or knaggy wood the thickness of the chaff can be also reduced.

HECHT 624 Box Knives Shredder - Overvew

ASSEMBLY

Turn the machine over onto its head. Pivot the legs upward, place the supplied wheel axle through the respective openings.

Wheels assembly:
Ⓐ  wheel cover

Push the collect box into the undercarriage after pushing the lock button upward.

A = Reset button / Overload protection

REPLACE THE BLADE

Ensure that the shredder is switched off and disconnected from the mains supply. Use work gloves.

Use a cross screwdriver to loosen the six screws plates and cover plates, remove it.

Block the blade disc by putting a screwdriver (A) into one of the holes on the blade disc. The key (B) turn the blade disc round until it locks onto the bottom guard plate. Unscrew the hexagonal headed screw by hexagonal wrench (B) and note the position of the cutting angle of the blade.
After removing the disc is made:

  • Cleaning the space under the plate or its replacement
  • Turning, grinding and or. replacement blades (procedure see page 15)

When reassembling the reverse procedure to select (Figure 6-7). When mounting, pay particular attention to the correct position of the plates and sufficient tightening of screw joints.
