Mini 02 Dashcam
INSTALLING THE DASHCAM

Check the orientation of the Dash Cam camera first before installation. When the Dash Cam lens is facing outwards, the power button faces backward.

Use an alcohol wipe to clean the windscreen and enhance adhesion.

Fix the Dash Cam on the inside surface of the windscreen by removing backing off 3M tape and press & hold firmly to windscreen for 60 seconds. The area near the rear-view mirror is suggested where the vision is not blocked. Do not install the device on the vehicles airbag or within its working range. Please make sure the wiper won’t block the lens of the Dash Cam especially when cleaning the windscreen during raining day. The best installation location shown in the diagram 1.

Note: As different car model has different layout, this picture is for reference only. -
Insert the Micro USB end of the GPS power cable into the Micro USB Power socket/charging point of the Dash Cam. The best position for GPS is just next to the Dash Cam. Fix the GPS power cable on the inside surface of the windscreen by removing the backing off 3M tape and press & hold firmly to windscreen for 60 seconds. For a better GPS signal, make sure the 3M sticker faces toward the sky and in not blocked or obstructed. Connect USB charging end of the GPS power cable into the 12/24V in-car USB charger, the plug this into the 12/24V power socket of vehicle.

Turn the vehicle’s ignition on and then it will power on the Dash Cam, you will hear an audible tone.

When recording the LED light indicator will flash red.

For the Dash Cam to work, it must receive power from the charging adapter. Once power is removed or turned off, the Dash Cam will save the current file and turn off.

Rotate the camera direction to get the best view.

Once position of the camera is OK and hide the cable like method 1 and method 2 in diagram 1.
Method 1: you can connect the Dash Cam to the car charger if you don’t need parking monitor mode
Method 2: you can connect the Dash Cam to the car fuse box if you need parking monitor mode, so that the Dash Cam can keep monitoring or recording (selected by user) during parking. Please note that only car charger line will be included in the packing box. It’s suggested you outsource a good quality car fuse box line if you need parking monitor mode. Please ask professionals to connect the Dash Cam to the car fuse box.
DOWNLOADING THE DASH CAM WIFI APP
Recording video, taking photos, liver streaming, GPS data, download files and changing Dash Cam setting can all be done via WiFi and downloading the “HETA I” Dash Cam App.
- Search for ” HETA I ” in APPS STORE (IOS/Android), download and install it.

Function of Buttons
Power button: long press to turn off /on, short press to start/stop video
recording. Photo button: short press to take a photo.
How to Connect “THETA I” apps to the Dashcam
- Download the App from the App Store
- Turn on location services in settings
- Select go to WiFi settings
- Turn on the Dash Cam and search for “YC_**” (the last six digits are randomly generated letters or numbers) on the “WI-FI” list of the mobile phone
- Enter the WI-FI password: “12345678”.
- After connecting your mobile phone to the Dash Cam, just open the APP, click the “Add Camera” icon, enter the real-time monitoring screen mode. The Dash Cam connects to the WI-FI successfully.
- You can now view your Dash Cam and adjust it’s settings via the “HETA I”Dash Cam App

Notes ON “THETA I” APP SOFTWARE
- The effective distance of Wi-Fi connection is around 10 meters
- The TF card needed to be formatted by this APP when it is first time used.
- When your mobile phone connects to the camera, it cannot access internet at the same time.
- During the online playback, it is normal symptom for APP cannot play smoothly or little bit delay.
- Whenever the APP on the mobile phone cannot search for the Dash Cam, please switch off the APP and the camera, and then try again.
FORMATTING SD/TF CARD
It is advisable to format the card in every three months to keep the card in good running order and to ensure you purge any locked footage that may have been saved in the past that you no longer need and is taking up space. Note: Back up files you wish to keep prior to formatting as formatting will delete all files on the SD card. SD card have a finite life. Their life is eventual wear out over time. Dash Cams are very heavy users of the SD card because they are constantly writing to memory. (SD card is not included in the box)
DOWNLOADING TO YOUR PHONE OR UPLOAD TO CLOUD STORAGE
Using the “HETA I” Dash Cam App, you can download videos to your smartphone. If you have a lot of videos, it may take a bit of time before it will load images on to your screen. Patience is needed while it downloads the videos, the more videos you select, the longer it will take to download. Alternatively, you can upload your videos or images via App to cloud storage.
GPS LOGGER
GPS geolocation data is automatically saved to the video files of the Dash
Cam. This can be viewed using the “HETA I”Dash Cam App.
TIPS: To avoid any possible GPS signal interference, make sure the Dash
Cam is away from any other car audio equipment.
G-SENSOR FUNCTION
G-sensor Sensivity: High, Medium, Low Sensitivity or Shutdown (Turn off) is
available. This function activates in the case of a car accident. When this
function activates the Dash Cam will automatically sync a 10 second video clip
and save it to the Event folder on the SD card. We recommend Low Sensitivity
to avoid flash triggers.
NOTE: With this function turned on it may fill up the SD card with locked
video files. Te format the SD card to create space. The device does NOT
guarantee video recording of all accidents as build-in impact sensor may not
be activated due to combination of user settings and the level of impact
during the collision.
PARK MODE FUNCTION
After starting this, the device will judge the vehicle status automatically. When the device is in driving conditions, the device will receord 30 frames per second video loop; When the vehicle is in parking conditions, the device will record 1 frame per second.
SAFETY INFORMATION & WARNING
Do not use the Dash Cam in damp working conditions. The Dash Cam is not
waterproof.
Do not try opening the shell or trying to repair the Dash Cam by yourself. If
the accessories for the Dash Cam have problems, please take it to an
authorized repair agent for repair.
Do no use a chemical substance, cleaning solvent or cleaner to clean the Dash
Cam. Please use a moist cloth if you would like to clean the Dash Cam.
Do not use the Dash Cam under conditions where dust is present.
The original style car DVR can only be used inside the car.
Do not operate the product or use APP when driving a car, pay attention to
driving safety.
Do not use this product under the environment of temperatures out of its
specification.
Do not use this product under an environment of strong magnetic field or
significant vibration.
Only can use qualified power line, using unqualified power lines may cause
unpredictable damage.
Do not install or operate it with wet hands Do not install in an environment
out of specification of temperature, or flammable and explosive gases,
liquids.
Do not install in a place affecting the safety of driver or interfere driver’s
sight.
Do not expose the Dashcam body and its accessories to a closed vehicle at a
high temperature for a long time.
Do not exceed the rated voltage of power supply.
If your car’s cigarette lighter is still powered on after the car engine is
off, please make sure to pull out the car charger when leaving the car, so
that it would not discharge the battery.
Products, accessories and packaging, please stay away from children!
Limited to use the original car charger line provided, we do not take any
responsibility for the damages caused by using of car charger line of other
manufacturers.
Do not disassemble the product and its accessories. Do not cut off the car
charger line!
The resulting burned is not covered under warranty!
Warm Tips
Do not press the lens strongly.
Do not use sharp objects such as awl scrape the host, auxiliary machines and
accessories.
Do not remove the memory card immediately after switch off the Dash Cam. It
can avoid file damage in the TF card.
Class 10 8GB or above of the TF/MicroSD card is recommended (Maximum support
up to 64GB)
Make sure formatting the memory card before inserting it into the Dash Cam so
that the card can be read and write in stable.
Do not power off the Dash Cam while they system software is updating.
Otherwise, it may be halt or no work

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Problem: The adhesive mount will not stay attached to the windscreen
Solution: Ensure windscreen is clean and free of debris, use glass
cleaner or an alcohol swab to clean. Ensure that the plastic film has been
removed from the adhesive pad. When mounting hold the bracket firmly to the
windscreen for at least 60 seconds.
Problem: The Dash Cam will not power on
Solution: check the vehicle accessory socket has power, simply plug
another device and see if it powers up (or use a test light/multimeter to
check for power) Check the fuse in the tip of the accessory plug, it may need
to be replaced. Connect the Dash Cam to a computer via the USB cable to see if
it powers up.
Problem: The Dash Cam shuts down when connected to the vehicle and the
battery will not charge.
Solution: This Dash Cam does not have a battery, it has a Super
Capacitor. The Dash Cam will only turn on when the vehicle is switched on.
Problem: The Dash Cam battery only lasts for a few seconds when power is
disconnected Solution: This Dash Cam does not have a battery, it has a Super
Capacitor The Super Capacitor only holds enough power to safely shut down the
Dash Cam, securectly save the last file when power is disconnected and retain
settings. The Dash Cam is designed to be connected to power at all times while
being used.
Problem: The WiFi does not seem to be connecting/ the Dash Cam won’t
connect with my phone Solution: Ensure WiFi is switched on in your mobile
settings and select your Dash Cam from the device list. Make sure you have
entered the correct password for the device (12345678). If the device is still
not connecting correctly, forget the Dash Cam from the phone through the
settings, reset the Dash Cam, restart the mobile phone, and then try again.
Check your phone if the latest software updated and also check the App has
been updated to the latest version.
Problem: The Dash Cam feels warm when it is operating Solution: It is
normal for the Dash Cam to feel warm, especially when it’s recording.
Problem: The Dash Cam stops automatically while recording
Solution: Check the storage of SD card. It must be enough room for
recording. Empty SD card is suggested. Ensure correct Micro SD card is being
used, 8-32 Gb class 10 or above Micro SDHC/XC is recommended. Other types of
Micro SD cards may not be suitable for use in the Dash Cam. Micro SD cards
have a limited lifespan and become corrupt after a period of time. If this
occurred, you need to replace the SD card.
Problem: The Micro SD card is not recognized by the Dash Cam Solution:
Format the Micro SD card before using. Be sure the Micro SD card is compatible
with the device.
Problem: The Dash Cam will not record video or take pictures. Solution:
Check to see if there is enough storage space on the Micro SD card. If not,
please formatted the Micro SD card.
Problem: Video files cannot be played on the PC Solution: The video files
from the Dash Cam are in TS format and may not be compatible with your PC if
suitable playback software is not installed.
Problem: My video are blurry, dirty or discolored
Solution: check if there are any finger prints or dirt on the Dash Cam
lens. Clean the lens with soft dry cloth may require.
