Installation Instructions
- As shown in the figure, install the casters. When installing, hold the wheel shaft and not the wheel itself. Insert it into the hole in the chair base at a vertical angle.
- As illustrated, install the gas lift by inserting it into the hole in the center of the chair base.
- As shown in the diagram, install the armrests by flipping the seat cushion over.
- Align the armrests with the armrest mounting holes and lock three M6*25mm screws on each armrest. Ensure the screws are tightly fastened to prevent the armrests from wobbling.
- Install the backrest as shown in the diagram by placing the seat cushion with the armrests installed on a box. Connect the backrest’s power cable to the seat cushion’s power supply socket. Then, align the backrest with the backrest mounting holes and secure it with four M8*45mm screws. Ensure the screws are tightly fastened to prevent the backrest from wobbling.
- As shown in the figure, insert the top end of the gas lift into the installation hole of the seat cushion assembly.
- As depicted, install the headrest by placing it at the headrest mounting position. Secure it with two M6*20 screws, ensuring they are tightly fastened. Then, attach the headrest cover to the headrest position.
When attaching the headrest cover, please press down on the lower part of the headrest cover with your hand.
Seat Height Adjustment
As shown in the illustration, you can adjust the seat height by manipulating the height adjustment lever located on the right side of the seat. The adjustable range is from 0 to 6 cm (2.36″).
Seat Cushion Adjustment
- As shown in the diagram, the seat cushion depth can be adjusted by manipulating the seat depth adjustment lever on the left side, with a range of 0-5cm (1.97″).
Recline Adjustment
- As illustrated, the recline angle of the backrest can be adjusted by manipulating the recline lock control lever, with a range of 93° to 135°.
Armrest Adjustment
- Height Adjustment: Hold the armrest height adjustment button and lift the armrest to adjust its height.
- Width Adjustment: Press the armrest width adjustment button and push the armrest surface inwards or outwards to adjust its width.
- Depth Adjustment: Push the armrest surface forward or backward to adjust the depth of the armrest.
Headrest Adjustment Height
- Adjustment: After the headrest is installed, you can adjust its height by pulling it vertically upwards or downwards, within a range of 0-7.5cm (2.95″).
- Angle Adjustment: The angle of the headrest adjusts automatically to the user’s posture and can also be manually adjusted, with a range of adjustment up to 50°.
- Footrest Adjustment: Pull out the footrest by pressing the notch on the footrest. The footrest extends up to 40cm.

Smart Life APP Connection
Download the Application
Step A: Smart Life APP Installation Please choose any of the following methods to download and install the application.
- Scan the QR code
- Search for “Smart Life” in the Apple Store or Google Play.
Step B: Create an account on Smart Life and log in.
- To pair the device with the network, turn on the device and press and hold the “Power” and “+” buttons for more than 2 seconds to enter pairing mode.
- Open the Smart Life APP on your smartphone and log in to your account (if it’s your first time using the app, please register an account following the apps)
- Please ensure your smartphone is connected to the local WiFi network and has Bluetooth enabled. Tap on “Add Device” or the “+” icon in the top right corner.
- APP Automatic Scan: When the device… column displays the ProtoArc Smart Chair icon, click “ADD”. Follow the APP prompts to add the device.
- Note: If adding the device fails, you can manually search for the product name to complete the device addition.
- Moreover, due to continuous updates to the Smart Life APP, the actual operation may slightly differ from the description above. Please follow the current instructions within the APP for operation.
- Once connected successfully, press “DONE.” You can then use the mobile app to control the device and manage your health settings.
About Charging
- When only one indicator light on the device is illuminated, it indicates that the battery is low. Please use the power adapter included in the accessory pack to charge the device (as shown in the figure). The device takes approximately 6 hours to fully charge.
- Tip: It is recommended to charge the device when it is not in use.

Regarding Chair Operations
- Ensure the chair is securely assembled before use.
- Standing on the chair is prohibited.
- Do not lean back with both feet on the seat cushion; the chair is designed for use by one person at a time.
- Avoid sitting on the armrests or placing the chair on uneven or sloped surfaces.
- Do not attempt to repair, modify, or replace the gas lift yourself.
- When charging, do not drag the chair to avoid damaging the charging cable and connector.
- Keep the product packaging and accessories out of reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion or suffocation.
- Individuals with lumbar injuries or internal medical implants should not use this chair.
- Individuals weighing over 120 kg should not use the chair.
- Regularly check if screws are loose and tighten them with a wrench if necessary.
- In case of product malfunction, do not attempt to repair it yourself; please contact our support at support@protoarc.com.
- When a conductive object contacts the seat surface, it will trigger the sensor, thereby recognizing the presence of a person and activating the device.
