Please read the following instructions carefully before using the appliance.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT! Only use the adaptor and attachments supplied with this appliance.
General
- Always inspect the appliance before use to ensure the trimmer blades are free from hair, debris, etc.
- Use on clean, dry hair that has been combed until tangle-free.
Oiling Instructions
- For optimum cutting performance, it is highly recommended to oil the blades after every use.
- When using the oil for the first time, unscrew the cap and cut off the very end of the plastic tube with a pair of scissors.
- Switch the appliance on.
- Holding the trimmer at a 45-degree angle, gently squeeze the oil tube and apply 2 drops directly onto the blades.
- Leave the unit on for a further few seconds to allow the oil to thoroughly spread along the length of the blades.
- Switch off the unit and remove any excess oil by gently dabbing it with a cloth before using it on hair.
Charging the appliance
- This trimmer is equipped with lithium-ion batteries.
- Before using it for the first time, the appliance should be fully charged continuously for 3 hours. This initial super-charge ensures optimum power performance to ensure smooth fast trimming every time.
- Maximum battery capacity will only be reached after 3 charging and discharging cycles.
- Plug the charging adapter into a suitable mains power socket and switch it on the wall. A blue
- The LED light will continuously run up the product to indicate the trimmer is charging. When the battery is fully charged the LED light will stop running up the product and all 5 charging lights will remain alight.
- Note: Always place the trimmer in the base with the ‘I/0’ switch in the OFF position.
- When the trimmer is running low on charge, the bottom LED charging light will flash to warn there is approximately 15 minutes of battery use remaining. A 3-hour charge will provide 5 hours of use. A 20-minute quick charge will provide approximately 40 minutes of use.
- If all 5 charging lights start to flash rapidly (more than 4 flashes per second) then the appliance is faulty. If this happens then please stop charging remove the adapter from the mains and contact Conair Customer Care Line. (See the ‘UK After Sales Service’ section for further information).
Preserving the batteries
To maintain the optimum capacity of the rechargeable batteries, the trimmer
should be fully discharged and then recharged for 3 hours every 6 months.
Comb Guides
This appliance is supplied with 2 comb guides for use with the beard trimmer.
Note: The trimmer can be used without any comb guide and will cut to a
length of 0.2mm.
Attaching the comb guides to the trimmer
- Position the comb guide over the blades. (Fig. 1)
- Click the guide into position by gently pressing the back of the guide down onto the back of the blade. (Fig. 2)
- The comb guide should click under the back of the metal blade.
Using the trimmer without the comb guide
- The T-blades of the beard trimmer can be used to edge and detail or to get a much closer cut (0.2mm).
- To remove the comb guide, unclip from the bottom of the blade, this will release the comb guide from the trimmer. (Fig.3)

Using the Beard Trimmer with the 6-position Stubble or 6-positon
Beard Comb Guide
- Attach one of the 6-position comb guides and select the required cutting length. Stubble Comb Guide 1-6mm or Beard Comb Guide 7-12mm.
- Switch the trimmer on.
- Hold the trimmer with the teeth pointing upwards, yet flat against the skin.
- Move the trimmer upwards and outward through the hair, against the direction of hair growth.
- The trimmer will work most efficiently when cutting through the hair at its speed.
- Never switch the appliance off whilst in the hair.’
Outlining
- To tidy up the edges around your cut e.g. neckline and sideburns, detach the comb guides.
- Hold the appliance upside down, so the front of the trimmer is facing towards your head.
- Hold the trimmer blades straight on your sideburns or the neckline and move the trimmer blades downwards. This will give you a clean, smooth finish.
Waterproof
The trimmer and comb guides are 100% waterproof and can be used in the
shower and bath. Always ensure to clean and allow the trimmer to dry after
each use and before storing away. See the ‘Cleaning & Maintenance’ section.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
To maintain optimum performance, the appliance should be cleaned after each use:
- Remove the comb guide after use. Rinse under running water and dry thoroughly before storage or use.
- Use the cleaning brush provided to brush away hair from the blades.
- Do not disassemble the blades.
- Periodically, it may be necessary to oil the blades.
- After cleaning, attach a trimmer head, switch it on and oil the blades using a few drops of the lubricating oil supplied. Only use the lubricating oil supplied with the appliance as this is specifically formulated for high-speed trimmers and do not evaporate or slow the blades.
