INTRODUCTION
Explore & discover with the Twist & Play Cube by VTech®. Six interesting sides
of play allow your little one to learn & create.
Piano keys, steering wheel, clock, play phone and much more will encourage
baby’s motor skills and hand eye co-ordination. The removeable panel even
transforms into a fun driver.

WARNING:
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable
tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this toy and
should be discarded for your child’s safety.
NOTE
Please save this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.
Removing the Packaging Locks:
- Rotate the packaging locks 90 degrees anticlockwise.
- Pull out the packaging locks and discard.
GETTING STARTED
BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Make sure the unit is turned OFF.

Find the battery cover under the top panel of the electronic module. Use a coin or a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover.

If used batteries are present, remove these batteries from the unit by pulling up on one end of each battery.

Install 2 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended).

Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.
WARNING:
Adult assembly required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach
of children.
IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
- Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
- Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
- Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
- Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
- Remove rechargeable batteries (if removable) from toy before charging.
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
- Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
Disposal of batteries and product
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on
products and batteries, or on their respective packaging, indicates they must
not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain substances that can be
damaging to the environment and human health.
The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked, indicate that the battery
contains more than the specified value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead
(Pb) set out in the Batteries and Accumulators Regulation.
The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on the market after 13th
August, 2005.
Please dispose of your product and batteries responsibly.
In the UK, give this toy a second life by disposing of it at a small
electricals collection point* so all of its materials can be recycled.

OFF/Explore/Music Mode Switch To turn the unit On, slide the O F F/ Explore/Music Mode Switch to Explore Mode ( ) or Music Mode ( ) position. To turn the unit Off, slide the OFF/Explore/Music Mode Switch to the Off ( ) position.

Transformation
Remove the farmyard scene panel, insert it into the hole on top of the electronic panel, as shown here.
The cute driver is ready for your little one to explore. Reverse this step to transform back to a cube -
Automatic Shut Off
To preserve battery life, the Twist & Play Cube will automatically power-down after approximately 40 seconds without input.
The unit can be turned on again by pressing the piano buttons, removing & inserting the phone, pulling or pushing the joystick, turning the clock hand, and switching to the other mode.
NOTE
If the unit powers down whilst playing, please install a brand new set of
batteries.

OFF/Explore/Music Mode Switch You will hear a song, phrases and sound effects or a short tune. The lights will flash with the sounds.

5 Piano Keys
In Explore Mode, press the 5 Piano Keys to learn numbers, colours and traffic lights, hear 5 sing-along songs and fun driving phrases. In Music Mode, press the 5 Piano Keys to have musical fun. The lights will flash along with the sounds.

Turning Wheel
In Explore Mode, turn the wheel to pretend to drive, hear fun sounds, friendly phrases and songs. In Music Mode, turn the wheel to hear songs and playful melodies. When a melody is playing, press the Piano Keys to play the song note by note. The lights will flash along with the sounds.

Gear Stick
In Explore Mode, push or pull the Gear Stick to learn opposites. In Music Mode, push or pull the Gear Stick to hear short tunes. The lights will flash along with the sounds.

Mobile Phone
In Explore Mode, pick up and put down the Mobile Phone to pretend call animal friends, hear greetings and fun sounds. In Music Mode, pick up the Mobile Phone to hear songs and melodies. When a melody is playing, press the Piano Buttons to play the song note by note. The lights will flash along with the sounds.

Clock
In Explore Mode, turn the Clock to learn time concepts, and play interactive games. In Music Mode, turn the Clock to hear songs and melodies. When a melody is playing, press the Piano Keys to play the song note by note. The lights will flash along with the sounds.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
- Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
- Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
- Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
- Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:
- Turn the unit Off.
- Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
- Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
- Turn the unit On. The unit should now be ready to use again.
- If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
If the problem persists, please contact our Consumer Services Department and a service representative will be happy to help you.
