Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance. You have selected a high-quality product. The operating instructions are part of this product. They contain important information on safety, use, and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all operating and safety instructions. Use this product only as described and only for specific areas of application. Please also pass these operating instructions on to any future owner(s).
Proper use
This appliance is intended exclusively for grilling food indoors. This
appliance is intended exclusively for use in domestic households. Not to be
used for commercial purposes.

Safety instructions
DANGER! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
- To avoid potential risks, if the appliance power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service or by a qualified technician.
- Protect the power cable against contact with heated appliance parts. NEVER use the appliance adjacent to open flames, a hotplate or a heated oven.
- Do not expose the appliance to rain and never use it in a humid or wet environment. Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet or moist during operation.
- Before use, check the appliance for externally visible damage.
- do not use an appliance that has been damaged or dropped.
- The power cable must be checked for signs of damage at regular intervals. If the power cable is damaged, the appliance may no longer be used.
- The appliance must be connected to a mains socket with protective earth.
- The appliance must not come into contact with moisture such as rain or water.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids!
- You could receive a fatal electric shock if residual liquids come into contact with live components during operation.
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
- This appliance may be used by children of the age of 8 years or more and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are being supervised or have been instructed with regard to the safe use of the appliance and have understood the potential risks.
- Children must not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children unless they are older than 8 years of age and are supervised.
- Children younger than 8 years of age are to be kept away from the appliance and the power cable.
- After use, allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning it. There is a risk of burns!
- Set up the appliance as close as possible to the electrical power socket. Ensure that the power plug is quickly reachable in case of danger, and also that there is no danger of tripping over the cable.
- Provide a stable location for the appliance.
- Do not touch anything other than the handle while the appliance is in use. The surfaces of the appliance become very hot during use.
CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!
- Do not use an external timing switch or a separate remote control system to operate the appliance.
- Never leave the appliance unattended during operation.
- Ensure that the appliance, the power cable or the plug do not come into contact with heat sources such as hotplates or open flames.
- Do not use charcoal or similar fuels to operate the appliance!
- To protect the non-stick coating, do not use metallic tools such as knives, forks, etc. Should the non-stick coating become damaged, discontinue use of the appliance.
- Operate the appliance only with the original accessories supplied.
Assembly and setting up
WARNING! RISK OF FIRE!
- Never place the appliance underneath wall cupboards or next to curtains, cupboard walls or other flammable objects.
- Place the appliance only on a heat-resistant surface.
- Take all the parts out of the box and remove the packaging material and any protective wrapping.
- Clean all of the components as described in the section “Cleaning and care”. Ensure that all parts are completely dry.
- place the appliance on a heat-resistant, clean and level surface. Ensure that you do not place the appliance directly next to a wall or a cupboard.
- Insert the fat drip tray 4 into the slot in the front of the appliance (see also fold-out page).
Before first use
- Wipe the griddle with a damp cloth.
- Lightly grease the griddles with an oil that is suitable for baking/grilling. This will make it easier to remove any manufacturing-related residue from the griddle.
- Close the appliance.
- Insert the plug into a mains power socket. The red “Power” indicator lamp 1 lights up. The appliance heats up.
- Wait for 5 minutes.
- Then disconnect the plug and allow the appliance to cool down. The first time the appliance heats up, a small amount of smoke and smell may be generated: this is caused by production residue. This is completely normal and is not dangerous. Provide sufficient ventilation; e.g. by opening a window.
- Wipe the griddle with a damp cloth after cooling.
- Clean the fat drip tray 4 as described in the section “Cleaning and Care”.
- Ensure that all parts are completely dry before operating the appliance. The appliance is now ready for use.
Operation
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
- The appliance is extremely hot during use! For this reason, do not touch anything but handle 3 during use! Use an oven cloth if you get hold of the appliance.

Now close the lid.

Insert the plug into a mains power socket. The red “Power” indicator lamp 1 lights up and the appliance heats up.

As soon as the green “Ready” indicator lamp 2 lights up, the appliance has heated up sufficiently. Open the lid at handle 3 and place the food onto the griddle.

Now close the lid. at and liquids will run into the fat drip tray during use 4.

Check the food at regular intervals. When you are satisfied, open the lid at handle 3 and remove the food from the griddle.
ATTENTION! DAMAGE TO PROPERTY!
Do not use metal implements such as knives, forks, etc. If the non-stick coating becomes damaged, stop using the appliance. -
When you have finished cooking food, disconnect the plug from the mains power socket. The red “Power” indicator lamp 1 goes out. This is the only way to switch the appliance off.
Cleaning and care
DANGER! ELECTRIC SHOCK!
- Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the plug from the mains power socket! Risk of electric shock!
- NEVER immerse the appliance in water or other liquids!
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
- Always allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning it. Otherwise, there is a risk of burns!
- It is best to clean the appliance as soon as it has cooled down. This makes food residues easier to remove.
- Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning materials. These could damage the surfaces!
- Do not use metal implements such as knives, forks, etc. Should the non-stick coating become damaged, discontinue use of the appliance.
- Empty the fat drip tray 4. Then rinse in warm water containing a mild detergent. Then rinse the fat drip tray 4 with clean water and dry it off.
- Wipe the griddle with a damp cloth after it has cooled down. The griddle must be completely dry before using it again.
NOTE
- If any stubborn residue sticks to the griddle, use a little detergent. Then wipe the griddle with a cloth moistened with clean water. Ensure that no detergent residue remains on the griddle.
- If you have used detergent to clean the griddle, make sure that you rub it lightly with oil afterward!
- Wipe the housing with a damp cloth. If necessary, put a little mild detergent on the cloth and wipe this off afterward with clear water. Dry everything properly.
Storage
- Store the cleaned appliance in a clean, dust-free, and dry location.

Disposal

Dispose of the appliance via an approved waste disposal company or your municipal waste disposal facility. Please comply with all applicable regulations. Please contact your waste disposal center if you are in any doubt. Your local community or municipal authorities can provide information on how to dispose of the worn-out product.
The packaging for this product is made from environmentally friendly material and can be disposed of at your local recycling plant. Note the labeling on the packaging and separate the packaging material components for disposal if necessary. The packaging material is labeled with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meanings: 1–7: Plastics, 20–22: Paper and cardboard, 80–98: Composites.

Dear Customer, This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of
purchase. If this product has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain
statutory rights. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by the
warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period starts on the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt
in a safe place. This will be required as proof of purchase. If any material
or manufacturing fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase of
the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you or refund
the purchase price (at our discretion). This warranty service requires that
you present the defective appliance and the proof of purchase (receipt) within
the three-year warranty period, along with a brief written description of the
fault and of when it occurred.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the beginning of a new warranty period. The warranty period and statutory claims for defects The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs carried out after the expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality
guidelines and inspected meticulously prior to delivery. The warranty covers
material faults or production faults. The warranty does not extend to product
parts subject to normal wear and tear or too fragile parts which could be
considered as consumable parts such as switches, batteries or parts made of
glass. The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly
used or improperly maintained.
The directions in the operating instructions for the product regarding the proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned against must be avoided. This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes. The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use of force, and modifications / repairs which have not been carried out by one of our authorized Service centers.
