Product Usage Instructions
Receiving the Shipment:
- Upon receiving the Element-D system, check your email for dashboard account verification.
- Devices will be added to your Elemental InsightsTM Dashboard with default names.
- Unpack the contents carefully upon arrival. Report any damages to help@elementalmachines.com.
- Ensure Element-D units are labeled correctly for connection to the intended assets.
Element-D Initial Power-up:
- Add the Element-D to a dashboard group in Elemental InsightsTM Dashboard.
- Connect the Element-D using the provided power supply.
- Follow the Wi-Fi Connection process outlined in the Wi-Fi Connection Guide.
Attaching Connection Cable to Asset:
- Locate the data port on the asset for connecting the Element-D.
Configuring Asset Menus:
The following settings are required:

Installation Instructions
Receiving the Shipment

If this is your first time setting up the Elemental Machines system, you will receive an email for your dashboard account verification. Save this email for when the devices arrive.

When devices are shipped, they will be added to your Elemental Insights™ Dashboard with default names.

When devices arrive, carefully remove the contents from the packaging. If any of the contents look damaged, please send a picture to help@elementalmachines.com.

Confirm the Element-D’s in your package are labeled with the assets to which they are to connect. If the labels do not match the intended assets for connection, please contact help@elementalmachines.com.
Element-D Initial Power-up -
Move the Element-D for the asset into a dashboard group on the Elemental Insights™ Dashboard. The device status on the dashboard will be listed as ‘disconnected’.

Plug the Element-D in using the provided power supply.

Locate the data port on the asset (shown in Figure 1) to which the Element-D will connect.
Meter Connections
The following diagram depicts all the possible meter connections available on the Orion Star A210 series benchtop meters. Some Star A210 series benchtop meters will have fewer connections, depending on the meter’s measurement capabilities. Configuring Asset Menus

To enter menu setup, press ‘setup’.

Using the arrow keys to navigate, and f3 to select menus and options, navigate to Settings → Export Data to find the print settings.

Change the settings to match the listed selections in the table above.

After the changes are made, press f1 to go back

Press f3 to select the correct channel. At this time only the pH channel is supported.

Press mode until the correct mode is displayed. At this time only pH mode is supported.
Attaching Connection Cable to Element -
Plug the other end of the Connection Cable into the data port on the Element-D. The USB connector may be plugged into any USB port on the Element-D, see Figure 3 below. Positioning the Element-D

Determine where the Element-D should be placed to allow for power access and a tidy connection cable.

Securely position the Element-D in the chosen location. The Element-D has magnets which make it easily mountable to magnetic surfaces.

To send a measurement to the Elemental Insights™ Dashboard, press the PRINT button on the meter.

Confirm that the value appears on the dashboard. (The dashboard may only display two digits after the decimal point. However, transfer to any third party platforms will include the full value.).

If you would like to send data on a timed interval, this can be set in the individual channel settings, under Channel → Mode and Settings → Read Type.

If the dashboard does not display any value, check cable connection and menu settings. Contact help@elementalmachines.com if problem persists.

Contact any third-party vendor for next steps regarding communication to the external platform (if applicable).
