This applique does not require a SLIP Solution for installation; it is a dry installation.
This part is not suitable for HEV / PHEV models or 2025+ Model Year ICE models with rear bumper back-up sensors.

Basic Required Tools

  • Microfiber Cloth
  • 50/50 Isopropyl Alcohol (70%) & Water
  • Nylon Squeegee with Sleeve

Special Instructions
Mix 8 oz. of water and 8 oz. of Isopropyl Alcohol (70%) into a trigger type spray bottle marked CLEAN for the cleaning solution.

Installation Steps

  1. 1.  **Cleaning**
    1. Clean the Rear Bumper Applique area using the CLEAN Solution and a Microfiber Cloth.
    2. Ensure the bumper is completely dry before proceeding.
  2. Fitting
  3. Dry fit the Rear Bumper Applique to get familiar with the fit.
  4. Position the applique onto the bumper by aligning the center notch and edges as instructed.

  • Q: Can this applique be used on all Tucson models?

    • A: This applique is compatible with Tucson models from the year 2022 onwards. It is not suitable for HEV / PHEV models or certain ICE models with back-up sensors.

All dealers must determine if the Net weight they have added in the form of all options or accessories, when added to the weight of all Port/Dealer Installed options or accessories, exceeds the lesser of 1.5% of GVWR or 100 lbs. If the additional weight does exceed the lesser of the indicated thresholds, a “Load Carrying Capacity Reduced” label must be installed. A black, fine-point, indelible marker must be used to write by hand onto the label, the reduced carrying capacity in kilograms or pounds, which is the total weight of all added options and accessories.

Notes to the installer

  1. Read the entire Installation Instructions prior to beginning the installation of this accessory.
  2. If applicable, scan the barcode label located on the accessory part or packaging prior to installing, to register the part. If this accessory is installed as a replacement, register the removal of the old part before registering the new part. Old and new parts will have different barcode data, and the old registration cannot be reused.
  3. Make sure the vehicle is completely clean and dry in the area(s) the part is to be installed.
  4. Ensure the vehicle is properly protected in the area(s) that the accessory is to be installed.
  5. NEVER place tools on painted surfaces, seating surfaces, dash pad, console or floor carpet/mats.
  6. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, safety glasses, etc., when required.
  7. Roll down the driver’s window and adjust the power seats (if applicable) prior to disconnecting battery power, if needed.
  8. After installation, do not wash vehicle for 24 hours.
  9. This product should be installed with proper installation tools.
  10. Install this product while observing all warnings and precautions stated in the instructions.

Preparation Before Installation

  1. VERY IMPORTANT : Thoroughly wash vehicle with soap and water where accessory will be applied.
  2. VERY IMPORTANT: Sleeve must be installed on plastic/nylon Squeegee throughout the entire installation process.
  3. VERY IMPORTANT : It is recommended that the ambient temperature of the accessory and the vehicle be between 65ºF and 90ºF at the time of installation and for 2 hours after.
  4. Parts storage should be flat at room temperature and in a clean dry place. Care should be taken to avoid a dusty environment.
  5. Make sure you have a clean, flat table/work area to use.

  • B. Position the Rear Bumper Applique onto the bumper by visually aligning the center notch in premask to the hatch striker and edges of the premask to the bumper features as shown.

  • B. Tear into three (3) pieces at perforation as shown.

  • B. Grasp only the handling tabs and carefully remove the liner from the Rear Bumper Applique by rolling it downward 180° against itself.
  • C. Discard the liner.
  • D. Lay the LH Rear Bumper Applique back into position.

  • B. Do not roll the applied part over the edge at this point. The flat surface must be adhered as much as possible.

  • B. Grasp only the handling tabs and carefully remove the liner from the Rear Bumper Applique by rolling it downward 180° against itself.
  • C. Discard the liner.
  • D. For Model Years 2022 through 2024 ONLY: Lay the center portion of the Rear Bumper Applique back into position and ensure the forward edge of the premask is butt up against the forward vertical surface of the bumper cover.
  • D. For Model Years 2025+ ONLY: Lay the center portion of the Rear Bumper Applique back into position and ensure the rea r edge of the premask is aligned with the rea r edge of the bumper cover.

NOTE : This alignment will cause the forward edge of the premask to ‘ride-up’ the forward vertical surface of the bumper cover.

  • A. Carefully remove the premask at 180° from the Rear Bumper Applique pieces as shown above.
  • B. For Model Years 2025+ ONLY: Ensure the forward edge of the center portion of the Rear Bumper Applique is NOT riding up the forward vertical surface of the bumper cover.

| Do not pull premask straight up, this could lift the applique. Inspect for bubbles. If bubbles are found, follow procedure in the Visual Check to remove the bubbles.

  • A. Starting from the center, squeegee the top surface of the Rear Bumper Applique pieces using firm, overlapping squeegee strokes.
  • B. Next, on both LH and RH Rear Bumper Applique pieces; squeegee the surfaces over the radius of the Rear Bumper then down the vertical surface onto the Rear Bumper using firm, overlapping squeegee strokes in a downward movement/direction as shown above.
  • C. If necessary, clean any remaining premask adhesive from the Rear Bumper Applique.

**| Inspect for bubbles. If bubbles are found, follow procedure in the Visual Check to remove the bubbles.

| Use only the handling tabs when handling the Rear Bumper Applique. Pay special attention to not get any fingerprints or dirt on the Rear Bumper Applique.

| Check for bubbles. If bubbles are found, use the Squeegee with Sleeve to push/pull/remove bubbles to the closest edge of the Rear Bumper Applique.
| Make sure all pieces of the Rear Bumper Applique are fully adhered.
| Make sure Rear Bumper Applique is free of any remaining premask adhesive after installation. Clean the Applique with soap and water if necessary.
****| If an installation error occurs, i.e. scratched / marred film, dirt / debris under the Rear Bumper Applique, crooked installation, etc., installer should remove, discard and replace the Rear Bumper Applique.
