Disconnect the vehicle’s or vessel’s power supply before beginning to install this device.

CAUTION
Continuous exposure to sound pressure levels over 100 dBA may cause permanent hearing loss. The volume is typically too loud if you cannot hear people speaking around you. Limit the amount of time you listen at high volume. If you experience ringing in your ears or muffled speech, stop listening and have your hearing checked.
To avoid possible personal injury, always wear safety goggles, ear protection, and a dust mask when drilling, cutting, or sanding.

NOTICE
When drilling or cutting, always check what is on the opposite side of the surface to avoid damaging the vessel.
It is strongly recommended that you have your audio system installed by a professional installer to ensure optimum performance.

What’s In the Box

  • Two flat brackets
  • Four short hex screws to secure the brackets to the speakers
  • Two long hex screws to secure the halves of the brackets together
  • Six washers
  • Eight wood screws to secure the brackets to the mounting surface
  • Mounting template

Tools Needed

  • 4 mm and 8 mm hex drivers or hex keys Drill
  • 12 mm (1 /2 in.) drill bit for cable pass- through holes
  • Drill bit for pilot holes in deck (size varies based on surface material and screws used)
  • Alternate stainless-steel mounting hardware appropriate for the surface material (if needed)
  • Spreader plate and alternate mounting hardware to reinforce the surface material (if needed)
  • Marine-grade sealant, approved for use on mounting surface and cables (recommended)

Mounting the Speakers on a Flat Surface

  1. Select a mounting location for the speaker.

  2. If the surface material is not strong enough to support the weight of the speaker, install a spreader plate (not included) in an appropriate location to reinforce the surface material.

  3. Trim the included template, and secure it to the selected location.

  4. Drill the 12 mm (1/ 2 in.) cable passthrough hole and the pilot holes.

  5. Remove the template.

  6. If necessary, route extended speaker wires and LED wires (not included) to the mounting location.

  7. Feed the cable from the speaker through the speaker half of the bracket **1**, and place it over the mounting knob on the speaker **2**

  8. Using a 4 mm hex driver or hex key, attach the collar **3** to the speaker half of the bracket using the two shorter screws **4** and washers, but do not fully tighten them.

  9. Route the speaker cable through the surface half **5** of the bracket.

  10. Route the speaker cable through the pass-through hole in the surface 6 ·

  11. Using the installation instructions provided with the Fusion Fusion XS Series Wake Tower speakers, connect the speaker and LED wires.

  12. Apply marine sealant around the passthrough hole in the surface (optional). Installation Instructions

  13. Secure the surface half of the bracket to the mounting surface using four screws **7**.

  14. Connect the speaker half of the bracket to the surface half of the bracket, taking care to run the speaker cable through the channel in the brackets **8**·

  15. Using an 8 mm hex driver or hex key, attach the speaker half of the bracket to the surface half of the bracket using the longer screw **9** and washer, but do not fully tighten it.

  16. Adjust the angle of the speakers and tighten all of the screws to secure the speaker to the surface, observing these maximum torque measurements:
    • For the large screw that secures the two halves of the bracket together **9**. do not tighten to more than 7 Nm (5.16 lbf-ft.).
    • For the small screws that secure the bracket to the speaker **4**, do not tighten to more than 2.5 N-m (1.84 lbf-ft.).
    NOTICE
    Tightening the screws more than the specified maximum torque measurement can damage the bracket.

  17. Repeat these steps for additional speakers.

Cleaning the Brackets

NOTICE
These brackets are not designed to withstand high pressure water spray, which may occur when you wash down your vessel. Failure to carefully spray-clean the vessel may damage the product and void the warranty.
Do not use harsh or solvent-based cleaners on the brackets. Using such cleaners may damage the product and void the warranty.

  1. Clean all salt water and salt residue from the bracket with a damp cloth soaked in fresh water.
  2. Use a mild detergent to remove a heavy buildup of salt or stains.
