REPLACING THE BATTERIES

Before assembly, it is recommended an adult install fresh alkaline batteries in the unit. Here’s how:

  1. Using a Phillips screwdriver (not included) remove the screw and battery compartment cover from under the unit.
  2. Install four (4) 1.5V AA (LR6) alkaline batteries (not included) making sure the (+) and (-) ends face the proper direction as indicated inside the battery compartment.
  3. Replace the compartment cover and tighten the screw.

WARNING!

  • ADULT ASSEMBLY REQUIRED.
  • This product is intended for use by children ages 3 years and up.
  • Do not allow children to sit, stand, play or climb on the unit.
  • Use product on a firm, level surface.
  • Do not put your hand inside the product.

BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION

  • Use only size “AA” (LR6) alkaline batteries (4 required).
  • Charging of rechargeable batteries should only be done under adult supervision.
  • Remove rechargeable batteries from the product before recharging.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
  • Be sure to insert the batteries correctly and follow the toy and battery manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Always remove exhausted or dead batteries from the product.
  • Dispose of dead batteries properly: do not burn or bury them.
  • Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • Avoid short-circuiting battery terminals.
  • Remove batteries before placing the unit into storage for a prolonged period of time.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Adult supervision required.
  • Only one batter at a time.
  • Recommend or encourage use of a batting helmet to promote safety.
  • This product is intended for outdoor use only.
  • Do not place hands, fingers or face near or on the unit.
  • Do not expose the unit to moisture of any kind. Wipe the unit with a damp cloth, if needed.
  • Do not use any other objects other than the balls provided with this unit.
  • Never hit ball at other children, people, animals or moving bicycles.
  • Never swing bat at others or at other objects.
  • Do not use product when raining or when ground is wet.
  • Never place unit on a hard surface such as concrete, asphalt, wood or other hard surfaces. Falls on hard surfaces could result in head or serious injuries.
  • Avoid placing or using unit in or near swimming pools, on or near steps, hills or inclines.
  • Avoid placing or using unit in or near street, sidewalks, alleys, patios, hills or garage.
  • Avoid placing or using unit near playgroud equipment, low branches, wires, clothesline, fences or low bearing branches

FUNCTIONS

  • Before playing, move the switch from the OFF (O) position to the ON (I) position.
  • When the unit is turned ON, the sensor will not activate if there are not any baseballs in the basket.
  • Press the start button with baseballs loaded to activate the unit; the baseballs will automatically be pitched.
  • In case the unit is turned off in the middle of a previous pitch cycle, when powering the unit on again it may run through a pitch cycle to ‘reset’ itself to the start position.

  1. Twist the top of the bat into the handle and tighten clockwise.

  2. Press the baseball basket onto the pitcher trainer unit until it snaps into place
    (Please note: this is a one-time snap; the pieces are not intended to be removed once placed).

  3. Align the two pieces of the chute along the rim of the pitcher trainer unit. Snap both sides together to connect (Please note: this is a one-time snap; the pieces are not intended to be removed once placed).

QUICK START

  1. Place the amount of baseballs in the basket that you want pitched (Note: Place baseballs on the side storage spaces when not in use or if you do not want all baseballs pitched at once).

  2. Press the start button. Then, the pitcher trainer unit and sensor will activate.

  3. The time ball release will automatically pitch the baseballs about every 8 seconds. The unit will ding indicating each pitch.

ANGLE ADJUSTMENT

  1. Turn the chute around clockwise to adjust the angle for longer distance pitches.

Tikes Company, the only remedies available under this warranty will be the replacement of the defective part or replacement of the product.
