BATTERY INSTALLATION

Before beginning, an adult must install fresh alkaline batteries (not included) in the unit. Here’s how:

  1. Using a Phillips screwdriver (not included) remove the screws and battery compartment cover from under the scooter.
  2. Install three (3) 1.5V AA (LR6) alkaline batteries (not included) making sure the (+) and (-) ends face the proper direction as indicated inside the battery compartment.
  3. Replace the compartment cover and tighten the screw.

ASSEMBLING THE SCOOTER

WARNING – ADULT ASSEMBLY ONLY
Handlebar must be assembled to the scooter body by an adult as per the directions be loan adult must check the assembly prior to every ride. If handlebar is not correctly assembled child should not be allowed to use the scooter.

Place the scooter body on a flat, level surface.

Place end of the scooter handlebar over the body opening.

Slide the end of the handlebar into scooter, making sure the spring loaded button aligns with the slot on the side of the scooter.

Press down on the handlebar forcefully until you hear the button click into place.

Once assembled, adjust the handlebar. Loosen the knob and open the clamp on the handlebar. Then, press the spring loaded button in and lift the handlebar up or push it down until the button clicks in place. Then, secure by closing the clamp and tightening the  knob.

To remove handlebar push in the spring loaded button (A) and lift the handlebar upward (B).

RIDING THE SCOOTER

CAUTION
READ AND FOLLOW SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS MANUAL BEFORE RIDING YOUR SCOOTER.

  1. Hold the handlebar firmly and place one foot on the deck of the scooter.
  2.  Use the other foot to propel the scooter forward.
  3. While moving forward and holding the handlebar firmly, lean slightly right or left on the scooter deck to steer the scooter.
  4. The handlebar’s stem will light up while riding the scooter.

LIGHT FEATURE
The handlebar’s stem features different light patterns. As the child rides the scooter, the lights cycle through the spectrum of colors from red to purple (red, orange, yellow, green, sky blue, navy blue, purple). Once the cycle process reaches purple, a payoff of 9 different light displays will illuminate, creating an amazing light show.
Follow the steps below to start the light show.

  1. Begin riding the scooter.
  2. The lights on the handlebar’s stem will start to light up.
  3. Ride the scooter faster so the lights reach the top of the stem.
  4. Once the lights reach the top, the lights will hold for a second or two.
  5. After a second or two, the light show will begin. The scooter has nine different light patterns that will randomly play as the child continues to ride the scooter.

STOPPING THE SCOOTER
While moving forward you can slow and/or stop the scooter by pressing down slowly but firmly on the rear wheel fender with the heel of your shoe. This will enable you to come to a safe stop.

BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION

  • Use only size “AA” (LR6) alkaline batteries (3 required).
  • Charging of rechargeable batteries should only be done under adult supervision.
  • Remove rechargeable batteries from the product before recharging.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
  • Be sure to insert the batteries correctly and follow the toy and battery manufacturer’s instruction.
  • Always remove exhausted or dead batteries from the product.
  • Dispose of dead batteries properly: do not burn or bury them.
  • Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • Avoid short-circuiting battery terminals.
  • Remove batteries before placing the unit into storage for a prolonged period of time.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

WARNING – ADULT ASSEMBLY ONLY
Handlebar must be assembled to the scooter body by an adult following the instructions in this manual and assembly must be checked prior to every ride to determine scooter’s safety. If handlebar is not correctly assembled child should not be allowed to use the  Scooter. Before each ride, check that all bolts and locking device are engaged. Make sure nothing on the unit is loose or broken. Do not ride if the unit is damaged.
WARNING – Entanglement Hazard
Please keep clothing, including shoe laces, away from the scooter wheels when riding as they may become entangled in the wheels causing injury to the rider and damage to the scooter.

  • ADULT SUPERVISION AND ASSEMBLY REQUIRED.
  • An adult must check the scooter assembly prior to every ride.
  • WARNING! PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT SHOULD BE WORN, including helmet, protective pads and gloves. Always wear a helmet when riding your scooter and keep the chinstrap securely buckled.
  • Not for children with a body weight of more than 20 kg MAX. (44 LBS MAX.)
  • NOT TO BE USED IN TRAFFIC ON ROADS HIGHWAYS, BUSY STREETS OR PARKING LOTS.
  • ALWAYS WEAR SHOES WHEN RIDING.
  • Ride only on flat, clean, dry surfaces.
  • Avoid bumps, drainage grates, and sudden surface changes which may cause scooter to stop suddenly.
  • Avoid streets and surfaces with water, sand, gravel, dirt, leaves and other debris.
  • Do not ride around pools or pool areas, steps and inclines
  • Do not ride in wet weather as doing so may impair traction, braking and visibility.
  • Do not ride at night or in areas of limited visibility.
  • Scooter brake may become hot from continuous use. Do not touch scooter wheel after braking.
  • Avoid excessive speed associated with downhill rides.
  • Obey all local traffic and scooter riding laws and regulations.
  • Watch out for pedestrians.
  • Do not use scooter at sporting events or for physical training or jumping.
  • Ride-on toys should be used with caution since skill is required to avoid falls or collisions which may cause injury to the user or third parties.
  • Replace worn or broken parts immediately.
  • Warning! This toy produces flashes that may trigger epilepsy in sensitized individuals.

LIMITED WARRANTY

The Little Tikes Company makes fun, high quality toys. We warrant to the original purchaser that this product is free of defects in materials or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase (dated sales receipt is required for proof of purchase). At the sole election of The Little Tikes Company, the only remedies available under this warranty will be the replacement of the defective part or replacement of the product. This warranty is valid only if the product has been assembled and maintained per the instructions. This warranty does not cover abuse, accident, cosmetic issues such as fading or scratches from normal wear, or any other cause not arising from defects in material and workmanship.
