Note: The product and illustrations in this user’s manual is only for explanation purposes and may vary depending on the model.

General Information

To avoid damaging the television set please observe the following safety instructions during setup and use.

In extreme weather (storms, lightning) and long inactivity periods (going on holiday) disconnect the TV set from the mains. The mains plug is used to disconnect TV set from the mains and therefore it must remain readily operable. If the TV set is not disconnected electrically from the mains, the device will still draw power for all situations even if the TV is in standby mode or switched off.

  • IMPORTANT – Please read these instructions fully before installing operating
  • WARNING: Never let people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge use electrical devices unsupervised.
  • For ventilation purposes, leave at least 5cm of free space around the TV.
  • The ventilation should not be impeded by covering or blocking the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
  • The power cord plug should be easily accessible. Do not place the TV, furniture, etc. on the power cord. A damaged power cord/plug can cause fire or give you an electric shock.
  • Handle the power cord by the plug, do not unplug the TV by pulling the power cord. Never touch the power cord/plug with wet hands as this could cause a short circuit or electric shock. Never make a knot in the power cord or tie it with other cords. When damaged it must be replaced, this should only be done by qualified personnel.
  • Do not expose the TV to dripping or splashing of liquids and do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, cups, etc. on or over the TV (e.g., on shelves above the unit).
  • Do not place open flames such as lit candles on the top of or near the TV.
  • Do not place any heat sources such as electric heaters, radiators, etc. near the TV set.
  • Do not place the TV on the floor and inclined surfaces.
  • To avoid danger of suffocation, keep plastic bags out of the reach of babies, children, and domestic animals.
  • Do not dispose of the batteries in a fire or with hazardous or flammable materials.
  • Warning: Batteries must not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, or the like. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

WALL MOUNTING WARNINGS

  • Read the instructions before mounting your TV.
  • Use the specified wall mounting screws and other accessories.
  • Tighten the wall mounting screws firmly to prevent the TV from fall.
  • Do not over-tighten the screws.
  • A television set may fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Many injuries, particularly
  • to children, can be avoided by taking simple precautions such as educating children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the television set or its controls.

Base bracket guide

  1. Place the TV unit on a flat and clean table.
  2. Fix stand by 2 pcs screws via screw hole B and A.
  3. Fix stand by 3 pcs screws via screw hole D and C.

Remote-Control unit

  1. POWER: Set your TV to power on or standby mode.
  2. MUTE: Press to mute the sound. Press again to regain sound.
  3. 0-9: Press 0-9 to select a TV channel directly. The channel will change after 2 seconds. Applicable for entering the page number in TELETEXT mode.
  4. SLEEP: Set the time for the TV to turn off automatically.
  5. : Return to the previously viewed program.
  6. P.MODE: Select the picture mode.
  7. S.MODE: Select the sound mode.
  8. CH.LIST: Display channel list.
  9. DISPLAY: Press to display the source and channel’s info.
  10. SOURCE: Press to select signal sources for TV.
  11. MENU: Allows you to navigate the on-screen menus (OSD).
  12. EXIT: Exit from the menu or sub-menu.
  13. Allows you to navigate the on-screen menus and adjust the system settings to your preference.
  14. OK: Select the option.
  15. CH+/-: Press these two buttons to change channels sequentially.
  16. VOL+/-: Press these two buttons to increase/decrease the sound volume.
  17. SCAN: Press to Auto scan TV program.
  18. AUDIO: Press to change the language of the audio in DTV or DVD mode.
  19. I/II: Select NICAM mode.Only be available in TV programmers with NICAM transmission, and the default mode is mono.

General Description

Installing Batteries in the Remote Control

  • Point the remote towards the remote control sensor of the wireless TV and use it within 7 meters.
  • Put the used batteries into the recycling bin since it can negatively affect the environment.

NOTES:

  • One loading of batteries will last for 1 year under normal use.
  • If you do not intend to use the remote controller for a long period of time, remove them to avoid damage due to leakage.
  • The batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

External Connection

Antenna connection
Antenna input impedance of this unit is 75ohm. VHF/UHF 75ohm coaxial cable can be connected to the antenna jack directly, if the antenna cable is 300ohm parallel flat feeder cable, you need to use the 300ohm/75ohm converter to connect the antenna cable to the antenna jack. For details Please refer to the following drawing.

Quick Set-Up

Set-Up for Satellite Reception
The “First Time Installation” Menu is automatically displayed in the first time switch on.

Select menu Language and Country; Press OK; The Tuning Setup Menu is displayed.

Select DTV or ATV + DTV as the receiving mode (Tune Type); Select Satellite as the input source (Digital Type); Select the desired satellite (ASTRA/HOTBIRD are standard); Press OK; First Time Installation Dialogue is displayed.

Select Yes to load the preset channel list (for ASTRA and HOTBIRD), your television set is ready. Select No to perform a manual search for channels on the previously selected satellite.

Initial Installation for Reception via DVB-C/DVB-T
DVB-C: Connect the DVB-C coaxial cable in the DVB-C input of the television set, or DVBT/ T-2 HD coaxial cable in the DVB-T input of the television set. If using an active antenna without independent power supply, in the menu switch the “5V antenna power“ On (Channel Menu); Turn on the television set with the on/off switch and press the POWER button on the remote control or on the device; The “First Time Installation” Menu is automatically displayed in the first time switch on;

Select the menu Language and Country; Press OK. The Tuning Setup Menu is displayed.

Select DTV or ATV + DTV as the receiving mode (Tune Type); Select the input source (Digital Type), DVB-T; Press OK. The station search dialogue box is displayed “Auto Tuning Status” . The TV and radio station search may last several minutes. Your television set is ready for use.

Main menu

Selecting the Main Menu
Open the main menu by pressing the MENU button (control panel on the television set or remote control); Select and confirm the desired option. The Main Menu contains the following sub-menu:

Channel Menu
Open the Main Menu by pressing the MENU button (control panel on the television set or remote control); Select Channel and confirm with the OK button. The Channels Menu is displayed.

Manual Analogue Search
In the Channels Menu select ATV Manual Tuning, and the Menu ATV Manual Tuning is displayed. Enter and confirm the desired settings.

Manual DVB-C Search/Manual DVB-T Search
In the Channel Menu select the CADTV Manual Tuning if on cable, or DTV Manual Tuning if receiving via antenna. The Menu CADTV Manual Tuning or DTV Manual Tuning is displayed.

Managing List of Channels
In the Channel Menu select Program Edit, and the Program Edit Menu is displayed. The following options are available: Delete channels (red button on the remote control); Move channels (yellow button on the remote control); Skip channels (blue button on the remote control); Add channels to favorites list (FAV button on the remote control).

Satellite Configuration

  • In the Channel menu select Dish Setup, the Dish Setup Menu is displayed. The following
  • options are available:
  • Edit/add/delete satellite;
  • Edit/add/delete transponder;
  • Edit satellite setting (for example DiSEQc setting).
Column Explanation

Satellite

| Satellite list. The satellite settings can be edited (green button). It is also possible to delete satellites (red button) and to add satellites (yellow button).

Transponder

| List of the transponders corresponding to the selected satellite (“Satellite” column). The transponder settings can be edited (green button). It is also possible to delete transponders

(red button) and to add transponders (yellow button).

Satellite settings (3rd column)

| List of the settings for the selected satellite (“Satellite” column). Configure the DiSEqC function to guide a compatible satellite antenna.

Picture Menu
Call up the Main Menu by pressing the MENU button (control panel on the television set or remote control); Select Picture and confirm with the OK button, Menu Picture is displayed. Important function in the Picture menu: Customizing picture setting.

Lock Menu

  • Display the Main Menu by pressing the MENU button (control panel on the television set or the remote control).
  • Select Lock and confirm with OK button. The Lock Menu is displayed. Important functions in  the Lock Menu:
  • Setting a system lock;
  • Changing the password;
  • Locking channels, parental guidance, button lock.

Note
To change settings in the Lock Menu a password is required. Factory set password is “0000”.

CI module
The television set has a CI slot and supports both CI and CI+. CI module is a plug-in card the size of a credit card that fits into the slot of your DVB receiver, and which in turn can also hold a smart card. With this combination, you have access to encrypted pay channels.

Note
Use only CI modules which are authorized or certified by the service provider. This is the only way to guarantee compatibility.

Inserting the smart card and the CI module
Turn the television set off; Insert the CI Module into the CI slot of the television set. Make sure you are inserting it the right way round (see illustration); Insert the smart card into the CI Module. Make sure it is the right way round (see the arrow); Turn the television set back on.

Playback

  • Press the INPUT button on the remote control.
  • Select USB as the input source. The Multimedia Menu is displayed.
  • Enter the desired media type (Photo, Music, Movie or Text) and confirm with OK. The selection screen with the file/directory structure is displayed.
  • Select the storage location (C) of the medium and, if necessary, the subfolder. The files already present are displayed.
  • Select the desired file. Press OK button on the remote control to mark the files (e.g. photos or music) to be shown/played.
  • Press the Play/Pause button on the remote control. The Media Player menu is displayed.

Press the OK button on the remote control to display the Movie menu.

Ending Playback
Press the EXIT button on the remote control to end the playback and return to file selection. To change the media type press the EXIT button on the remote control repeatedly until the Multimedia Menu is displayed.

DVD Operation

SOURCE
Press the “SOURCE” button menu. The up and down direction keys can be selected, or Press the left or right button to select the DVD, and press the Enter button to enter. Press the DVD SETUP button to enter that function.

TV SYSTEM
Set the options: NTSC/PAL/AUTO.

POWER RESUME
Press the ENTER function on or off.

TV TYPE
Set the screen ratio options: PS(4:3 Pan Scan), Normal/PS(4:3 Letter Box), and Wide (16:9) the default setting is wide.

PASSWORD
Enter “0000” to enter.

RATING
Disc Options.

DEFAULT
This option will return the DVD to its factory default settings.

OSD LANGUAGE
Set the OSD Language options.

AUDIO LANG
DVD language selection options.

SUBTITLE LANG
This player can display DVD subtitle languages if supported by the DVD disc. When playing DVD’s you can hide the subtitle or choose any of them as the current subtitle language.

MENU LANG
Set the MENU Language options.

AUDIO OUT
Press the “ENTER” Key. The up and down direction keys can be used for selection.

KEY
Press the “ENTER” Key. The up and down direction keys can be used for selection.

DUAL MONO
Press the “ENTER” Key. The up and down direction keys can be used for selection.

Special Function
To open the channel list proceed as follows: Press the CH.LIST button on the remote control or press the OK button on the remote control (only if no menu is displayed). The Channel List Menu is displayed. Symbols indicate whether a channel is locked, encrypted, to be skipped or a favourite.

Select the desired channel and press OK.

Favorites
To open the favorites list proceed as follows: Press the FAV button on the remote control. The Favorite List Menu is displayed.

The channels previously designated as favorites are displayed in this view. Symbols indicate if a channel is to be skipped or is marked as a favorite. Select the desired channel and press OK.

Note
To edit the channel list (delete, move, skip, add to favorites), in the channel menu select Program Edit.

Channel information
To open channel information, proceed as follows: Press the DISPLAY button on the remote control. Channel Information is displayed.

Subtitle Language
To display the subtitle language, proceed as follows: Press the SUBTITLE button on the remote control. The Subtitle Language Menu is displayed;

Select the desired subtitle language and press OK.

Programme Guide (EPG)
To display the programme guide proceed as follows: Press the EPG button on the remote control. The 7-Day TV Guide Menu is displayed.

  • In this view, you will find information on the current day’s programming, that of the previous day, and also of the following day.
  • Select the desired program and press OK.

Radio

  • To switch between Radio mode and TV mode, proceed as follows:
  • Press the TV/Radio button on the remote control. You are in Radio mode;
  • Press the blue button on the remote control to deactivate the screen. The radio will continue playing;
  • Reactivate the screen by pressing any button on the remote control;
  • Press the TV/Radio button on the remote control again to return to the TV mode.

Note
It is possible to use the Vol+/Vol- and the MUTE buttons with the screen deactivated. When using these buttons the screen remains deactivated.

Teletext

  • Teletext is made available free of charge by most TV stations. It provides various types of information, e.g. News Ticker and updated news, weather forecasts, information on business, sport, culture, advice services, etc., and also on television programming.
  • Press the button TV/TXT on the remote control. To display the teletext a station must be selected which provides this service.
  • To select a page, with the number buttons on the remote control enter the three-digit number of the desired page.
  • Use the CH+ and CH- buttons on the remote control to move forward and backward between the pages.
  • Use the HOLD button on the remote control to set a page.
  • Use the INDEX button on the remote control to move to the opening page or the table of contents.
  • Use the SIZE button on the remote control to zoom the upper or the lower section of the page or to return to the normal display.
  • Use the REVEAL button on the remote control to reveal hidden information or to hide this information again.
  • Use the SUBPAGE button on the remote control to directly select subpages which are then automatically displayed.
  • Press the TV/TXT button on the remote control again to leave the teletext and return to TV mode.

Troubleshooting

If you have any problem, check the couter measures for each symptom listed below. The following symptoms may have been, caused by inaporopriate adjustment rather than actual malfunction of the unit. If the trouble pens sts, contact the Customer Care Centre, see back page for contact details.

WARNING

Never place a television set in an unstable location. A television set may fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by taking simple precautions such as:

  • Using cabinets or stands recommended by the manufacturer of the television set.
  • Only using furniture that can safely support the television set.
  • Ensuring the television set is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.
  • Not placing the television set on tall furniture (for example, cupboards or bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the television set to a suitable support.
  • Not placing the television set on cloth or other materials that may be located between the television set and supporting furniture.
  • Educating children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the television set or its controls

If your existing television set is being retained and relocated, the same considerations as above should be applied. The plug or appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.

Warranty Policy

When returning an item, please note the following:

Only items purchased directly from www.sylvoxtv.com and authorized resellers can be returned, such as Amazon, Walmart, Newegg, Wayfair, Aliexpress, etc. We will not accept any return requests for products purchased from unauthorized third-party suppliers. Customers must contact the original vendor with your order ID or purchase proof and the details of the product issue at Sylvox-Team to request a return/refund/repair/replacement before returning products. Sylvox will provide you with the shipping label in the mail. Sylvox are responsible for all return shipping costs for quality problems. If there is no reason to return the product after installation and use, Sylvox shall have the right to charge restocking fees of 20% of the product value. (Only accept applications for no reason return within 7 days after arrival, and freight costs are the responsibility of the customer) Ensure that the item(s) you are returning is repackaged in the original condition with all the documentation and accessories that came with it.   • Sylvox warrants that this product conforms to the manufacturer’s specifications and will be free of defects in material and workmanship should any defect occur.
  • Sylvox will correct the defect subject to the following conditions:
    • Any defects caused or repairs required as a result of the abusive operation, negligence, accident, shipment damages, improper delivery and installation, application, and use for which this product was not intended as set forth in the user’s manual or other applicable Product documentation.
    • Any defects caused or repairs required as a result of any product that has been tampered with, modified, adjusted, or repaired by any person other than Sylvox, a Sylvox authorized service provider or a Sylvox authorized service center or dealer.
    • Any replacement of accessories, glassware, consumables or peripheral items required through normal use of the Product, including but not limited to, earphones, remote controls, batteries, etc.
    • Any cosmetic damage to the Product surface or exterior, including but not limited to that which has been defaced or caused through normal wear and tear, improper shipping and handling, or the use of chemical cleaning agents.
    • Any defects caused or repairs required as a result of damage caused by any external or environmental conditions, including but not limited to, the use of incorrect voltage, fluctuations or surges in transmission line/power line voltage, liquid spillage, or acts of nature or God.
    • Warranty claims for Products returned with the altered, illegible, or missing model, factory serial number, and UL markings.
    • Any Products used for rental, business, or commercial purposes.
    • Any installation, consumer instruction, delivery, setup, adjustment, and/or programming charges.
    • A Product that is not installed following installation instructions is included with the Product. Any signal reception problems (including antenna-related problems), images “burnt” into the screen, signal noise or echo, interference or other signal transmission or delivery problems, availability of third-party provided services or content (including, without limitation, image, audio or video content).

No other entity other than Sylvox is authorized to extend, enlarge or transfer this warranty on behalf of Sylvox.

The express warranties in this limited warranty are, in place of and, except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, Sylvox disclaims all other warranties and conditions, express or implied, whether arising by law, statute, by course of dealing, or usage of trade, including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of all claims, whether based in contract, negligence, strict liability or otherwise.
