Characteristics

Wheelchair is made of steel frame. It features flip-up armrests for easy entry and exit for people with reduced mobility. It is equipped with 8″ back and 6″ front wheels, manually controlled brakes (back wheels), seat with backrest, security belt and footrest.

Application

Wheelchairs are designed for people who have problems with unassisted movement and for patients with dysfunctions and reduced mobility. The wheelchair is suitable for indoor use only. The wheelchair may only be used with the assistance of an accompanying person.

The wheelchair functions as transport chair. It facilitates everyday movement. The wheelchair is especially recommended to people who have problems with mobility which are caused by: paralysis, obesity or abnormal underweight, degenerations or deformity of limbs, degenerations or joints injuries, limbs injuries or amputations, heart and blood vessel disorder and circulatory disorders.

Assembly

UNFOLDING/FOLDING WHEELCHAIR:

Hold seat frame with one hand and backrest frame with another, spreading them apart till fully unfolded. Lock safety buckle located behind backseat. Pull down armrests and footrest.
To fold wheelchair, repeat actions starting from folding armrests and footrest, then unlock safety buckle and hold backrest and seat frame, pulling them apart till fully folded.

FLIP-UP FUNCTION OF ARMRESTS:

Pull the armrest upwards with a gentle movement.
Do not use the armrest as a support while standing up. If help is required – ask for assistance.

To lock the wheels, tighten the top hand brakes (picture 1).
To unlock the wheels, press the bottom-hand brakes (picture 2).
To stop, gently press top hand brakes.

FOOTRESTS

Do not use the footplates as a support while getting in or out of the wheelchair due to the risk of falling over.

GETTING ONTO THE WHEELCHAIR

It is essential to lock the brakes while getting in or out of the wheelchair, changing the user’s position or getting off.
While changing place, the wheelchair should be located as close as possible to the place of transfer. The wheelchair should touch the bed or other seat being used. If the user cannot change his/her seat independently, transfer the user to the wheelchair.
The user should sit as deep as possible in the middle of the seat in order to avoid wheelchair instability.

The seat can be cleaned with a damp cloth and cold or warm water, without the use of detergents. Difficult stains can be cleaned with a sponge.
Plastic elements should be cleaned with damp cloth.
