INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Forearm folding crutch

Characteristics
The forearm folding crutch consists of a comfortable, durable handgrip and an
aluminum shaft finished with a high-quality rubber tip. Because of stepped
length adjustment and folding function, it is very convenient for daily use.
The crutch has an ergonomic shape of the cuff nd properly adjusted elbow
angle, which ensures optimal distribution of the pressure on the handgrip.

Application
The forearm crutch is ancillary equipment which is used to increase the area
of support in case of patients with reduced mobility. It is also recommended
to patients who need help and support while walking and it can also be used
for gait re-education as an aid in keeping balance after the injuries of lower
limbs or trunk.
Contraindications: coordination and balance disorders, advanced rheumatic
changes, injuries and dysfunctions of upper limbs which may hinder the user to
support on the crutch.
Assembly and adjustment
- To make transportation easier, the crutch has a folding function. Before adjusting the length, the crutch should be unfolded by overlapping the two parts of the shaft.
- To adjust the length of the crutch, unscrew the adjustment lock.
- Adjust the crutch, press the locking pin and select appropriate position of the inner tube. Lock the position of the tubes relative to each other with the use of locking pin. The crutch is adjustable in 2.5 cm increments.
- Once the length adjustment is complete, screw the crutch adjustment lock.
- To set the proper length of the crutch, stand upright and bent upper limb in elbow joint at the angle of 20°.
- The crutch should be adjusted individually to the user so that the handgrip is at hip joint level and the cuff is at the height of upper part of the forearm.
- Before use, ensure that the crutch is stable and the locking pin fully protrudes through adjustment hole of the crutch.
- It is recommended to use two crutches simultaneously.
NOTE! In case of doubts concerning the technique of moving with the use of the crutches, consult a person who has appropriate knowledge and qualifications.

Cleaning and maintenance
- Clean the crutch using only water and mild detergents, wipe dry after each use.
- Do not use: strong detergents, abrasive agents, bleach, petrol nor solvents (it may cause frame damage, visible defects, and in consequence – loss of warranty rights).
- It is recommended to check rubber tip regularly. Replace worn tip immediately.
Storage and transport conditions
Device should not be exposed to direct sunlight, water or moisture.
