Assembly
Follow the steps below for proper assembly of the brushcutter:

  1. Mount the handles as shown in Fig. 1.
  2. Important: Do not operate the brushcutter without the protective guard in place.
  3. For attaching/detaching the cutting disc and autocut unit, ensure the harness safety is positioned under the user’s armpit.

Operating the Brushcutter
There are two main cutting methods:

  • Straight Cutting Method: Ensure to cut along the edge of the cutting surface to avoid accidents.
  • Autocut Method: Select the appropriate type of cutting line for the surface. Operate the autocut at maximum motor speed.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES
SAVE THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
WARNING: Do not operate this mower until you have read this instruction manual and are familiar with the safety, operation, and maintenance instructions.

WORK AREA SAFETY

  • Keep the work area clean and well lit.
  • Do not use power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of liquids, gases or fuel vapors. Power tools create sparks that can ignite fuel gases or vapors.
  • Keep children and bystanders away. All visitors and pets must be kept a safe distance from the work area.
  • Do not allow children or untrained persons to use this machine.
  • Do not expose power tools to rain or moisture. If water gets into a power tool, it will increase the risk of electric shock.
  • Do not handle the plug or tool with wet hands.

  • Keep all parts of your body away from moving parts and all hot surfaces of the tool.
  • Check the work area before each use. Remove all objects such as stones, broken glass, nails, wire or string that can be thrown or caught in the machine.
  • Use only original spare parts and accessories from the manufacturer. Use of any other part may create a hazard or cause damage to the product.
  • Do not charge the battery tool in the rain or in a wet place. This rule will reduce the risk of electric shock.

ASSEMBLY

Before mounting and putting into operation, you must ensure that the battery mower is correctly assembled according to the component plan and follow the instructions in this manual. The assembly-disassembly order is shown in fig. 4
Use the locking hex provided with the mower and position it in the locking hole of the reducer head and in the locking hole of the spacer in fig. 4 pos. 5.
Using the wrench provided with the mower, secure the lock nut and turn counterclockwise to tighten, or clockwise to loosen.
The cutting disc with 3 teeth (pos. 4 Fig. 4) can be mounted on any part having double sharpening.

Check that the whole assembly is correctly mounted and that the disc is firmly tightened without axial or transverse play.
When mounting the auto-cut, items 1, 2, 3 and 4 from fig. 4 are not used. The locking washer (pos. 5, fig. 4) is used, which helps to lock the shaft of the reducer head, and the auto-cut is then threaded, counter-clockwise, by hand, helping us by the lock and tighten strongly.
If you fail to do so, you must immediately go to the nearest Ruris authorized service point to have this problem fixed.

Fitting the harness
To fit the harness you will need to position it on your shoulders and then secure it.
The harness can be easily fixed on the user’s body by means of quick-type adjustment elements, without the user losing time or suffering discomfort during operation.
With quick adjustment, the user can start working immediately.
To be able to position the mobrushcutter wer correctly in the harness, make sure that it is balanced and does not touch the ground .

To balance the mower in relation to the harness and the height of the user, you will need to perform the following maneuvers:

  • make sure the harness safety is located below the user’s hip.
  • position the chainsaw in the safety of the harness and leave it free
  • if the mower is not balanced and touches the ground with the cutting disc or the mower has a tendency to lean towards the engine, you will have to reposition the fixing system located on the transmission rod to the engine or the cutting disc until you find the point balance of the scythe. In this case, exploitation will be done easily without supporting the bruschutter on your hands.

COMMISSIONING

Before putting the mower into operation, you must ensure that the following conditions are met:

  • within a radius of 15 meters on either side of the brushcutter, there are no people or objects with which it could come into contact.
  • the mower is seated in the position horizontal on the ground.

  • the horns are correct mount and fixed.
  • the reducer head has petroleum jelly graphitized .

EXPLOITATION OF THE BRUSHCUTTER

RURIS brand shoulder chainsaws are products that allow you to easily choose the mowing mode, without having to perform successive adjustment or maintenance maneuvers. Brushcutter create a unitary body with the user and provide maximum comfort and perfect operation.
In order to be able to use the brushcutter in optimal working conditions, you will need to check before starting the mowing operation if there are objects, wood stumps, stones, wires, flies, etc. on the mowing surface. objects with which the cutting disc may come into contact.
If you find such objects you will have to remove them from the surface to be mowed. At the same time, unevenness or other elements that could endanger your safety during exploitation will have to be highlighted by markings in those areas.
Careful! To be able to operate the chainsaw safely, you will have to read the manual and take into account the markings on the parts of the brushcutter.

Make sure that before starting the operation, there are no people or animals within a radius of at least 15 meters that you could injure because at the maximum speed of the cutting disc through contact with the gravel in the ground or other objects they can be projected .
After you have started the mower and positioned it in the safety of the harness, you can proceed to its operation. For your safety, avoid contact of the disc with stones or hard objects.
Actuation of the transmission is done by operating the accelerator lever at maximum, during the mowing process, without fluctuations that create shocks in the transmission and cause its premature wear.

MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning, inspecting or repairing your mower, make sure the engine is cool. Disconnect the battery to prevent accidental starting.
The user can only carry out maintenance and service interventions that are described in this manual. More complex interventions are carried out in an authorized service workshop.
In order to be able to sharpen the cutting disc, as well as for other interventions, it is advisable to go to an authorized RURIS service.
Certain parts of the transmission work in petroleum jelly. It is necessary to top up with petroleum jelly and check the reducer head. The amount of petroleum jelly in the reducer head must be checked before each use.
If the cutting disc does not cut properly, it can be sharpened or eventually replaced.
For any problems or misunderstandings on how to work with the machine, contact the authorized RURIS distributor.
Keep the mower, especially the ventilation holes, clean. Never spray water on the body of the device!
Never clean the mower and its components with solvents, flammable or toxic liquids. Clean it with a damp cloth.
Use only original accessories and original spare parts. Use of other spare parts may result in accidents/injury to the user.
Please contact an authorized RURIS service if you need accessories or spare parts.

STORAGE OF THE EQUIPMENT

If you do not use the chainsaw for a longer time (over a week), proceed as follows: Clean the mower.
Store in a dry place out of the reach of children.
The chainsaw must be stored in dry places with a roof and protected against moisture. Lubricate all active metal parts with petroleum jelly.
Do not store the mower near flammable areas.
Do not dispose of electrical equipment, industrial electronics and components in household waste! Information on WEEE. Considering the provisions of OUG 195/2005 – regarding environmental protection and O.U.G. 5/2015. Consumers will consider the following indications for handing over electrical waste, specified below:

  • Consumers have the obligation not to dispose of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) as unsorted municipal waste and to collect this WEEE separately.
