Product Information
The AC-MANAGE is designed to charge and store up to 36 Chromebooks, Laptops, or tablets.
NOTE: Please review this guide before installing devices and to learn how to safely use your cart.
- If the device (Laptop / Chromebook) thickness is more than the gap between the dividers, remove one of the dividers to create enough space for your device.
- The enclosures are used to hold the device accessories, and power adapter and allow power cables.
- We offer a Pre-Wired Version in the US with a USB charging Hub
- We offer Pre-wired carts with just the HUB in other regions of the world
Removing The Top Panel
Your cart is equipped with a removable top panel for storing a standard height 1u Ethernet switch. The mounting system for the switch is adjustable for various lengths and can be powered via the internal electrical outlet if needed. Please keep in mind, a PoE switch will reduce the total wattage allowed for devices (14A Max load for the entire cart at a time). Unlock the top panel. With an assistant, pull the top toward you first, then lift up. The panel is heavy so take extra care not to drop it.
Setting Up A Network Switch (Top)
- If your Network Switch is equipped with rack ears, loosen the mounting bracket screws using a phillips head screwdriver. Align the mounting brackets with the overall length of the switch. You may have to loosen the brackets and use additional mounting holes to gain the correct width.
- Your cart is equipped with RJ-45 Patch Thru Ports above each device space. This alleviates the use of extra-long cables directly from the Network Switch. Follow the instructions supplied by your Network Switch manufacturer.
SETTING UP DEVICES (FRONT)
- Step 1 : Using a ruler, measure the thickness of your device.
- Step 2 : If the device is thicker than 1”, locate & remove thumbscrews on the shelf.
- Step 3 : Remove Retaining Strip.
- Step 4 : Pull forward, then up to remove the Divider.
- Step 5 : Adjust spacing as needed.
- Step-6 : Place the Strip in position & replace thumbscrews.
SETTING UP DEVICES (BACK)
- Step-1 : Remove the basket by pulling upward first, then pull forward.
- Step 2 : If your device power adapters are “brick” style, feed power cables through holes and place no more than 6 into a basket
- Step 3 : Hook basket(s) in place & distribute power cords so that all power strips have an equal number of devices plugged in.
- Step-4 : Feed device cables into pass-thru slots to the front of the cart.
- Step-5 : Working up front, weave device cables into divider tabs.
- Step-6 : Use the supplied Cable Clips to fasten each cable to the divider by pressing down firmly, securing the cable in place.
Intelli-Sense Smart Charging
THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO HANDLE A MAXIMUM OF 14 AMPS.
Quick Start Tips:
- Plug-in device adapters so there are an equal number of devices in Group A and Group B.
- Make sure the Mode Selection Switch is set to “SMART” mode.
- Plug in cart. The Intelli-Sense timer will automatically sense the charging needs of the cart and start charging in the most efficient and quickest method.
Group Outlets “A“ | Group Outlets “B“ |
---|---|
7 Amp load | 5.5 Amp load |
ON | OFF |
5 Amp load | 5.5 Amp load |
OFF | ON |
5 Amp load | 4.5 Amp load |
ON | OFF |
4.5 Amp load | 4.5 Amp load |
ON | ON |
NOTE
If wattage exceeds 14 Amps or about 1400 Watts at one time, the charging
system may not operate correctly. Review your device’s AC Adapter wattage,
multiplying it by 18.
Within 5 seconds of plugging in your cart’s power cord, your INTELLI-SENSE Smart Charging System will initiate a test of your device’s charging level requirements. Devices that are plugged into power strips that draw the most power will take priority and can take up to 2 hours before switching to the next set of outlets. Once devices are fully charged, the system will remain in a trickle charging state, maintaining your device’s battery levels. With Mode Selection Switch set to SMART: Group Outlets “A” and Group Outlets “B” power on for 8 seconds in sequence then enter the following modes depending on the current draw.
If the total current draw is greater than 9A
The group outlets with the highest current draw will power on, while the group
with the lowest current draw remains OFF. Once the current draw difference is
within 0.5A, the system will switch to the other group. When the total current
is less than 9A, all outlets will power on at the same time.
If the total current draw is less than 9A
Group “A” and Group “B” power on at the same time. The total output is
continuously monitored in case a new device is added.
