Connection Guide
If you are using a scart interface, please follow the below picture to connect the equipment and set the switch to OUTPUT.
Notice:
- You may have to buy a Video and Audio cable, and an S-Video cable to connect the USB Video Capture to your analog video device. You need to buy the Scart Video/Audio adapter if the output of your video source device is Scart type.
- The following devices can be used as analog video sources : Video recorder, DVD player, Video camera, Set-top box, Game player, and any device that provides an analog video signal.

Hardware Installation
Connect the USB Video Capture device to your computer following the connection
guide. Ensure all cables are securely plugged in. Please download the driver
first: http://www.ezcap.com/ezcap172 and double-click Setup.exe to start to
install drivers. Follow the Next prompts then click Finish to end the driver
installation. Now, plug USB Video Capture into the USB2.0 port of your
computer. The system will appear if you Found the new hardware or others.
Please wait for the installation automatically until the system appears your
Device is now installed and ready to use. Click on the Sound, video, and game
controllers in the Device Manager, you should see the Ezcap Video Grabber,
which means the driver is installed correctly.
Software Installation
Please download the ArcSoft ShowBiz software:
http://www.ezcap.com/ezcap172, and double-click Setup.exe to start
installing ShowBiz software. Click the Next and/or Finish buttons following
the attention of the installation program to complete the software
installation. When asked to enter a Product Key, enter the code which can be
found on the software sticker on the manual.
- Download the ArcSoft ShowBiz software from this link.
- Double-click on Setup.exe to start the installation.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and enter the Product Key found on the software sticker in the manual when prompted.
Software Guide
- Double click ShowBiz 3.5. icon which is on the Desktop of your computer to open it. Click the Capture button to enter the capture panel.
- Click the drop-down box next to Source and select Escape USB video capture, and click the drop-down box next to Audio Device and select Audio Pin Source.
- Click the drop-down box next to Video Input and select Composite or S-Video according to the connection of the device.
- Click Video Settings to select the right TV system for your video source, such as NTSC-M, PAL-B, or others. Now, you should see the right video on the software panel.
- Click the RECORD BUTTON to start recording, and click again to stop recording.
