Important Safety Instructions

  10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
  11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
  12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
  13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
  15. Do not install the product in a place exposed to direct sunlight or near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  16. This product is designed for use in a network environment with a PoE (Power over Ethernet) connection. Do not connect the product to a power source that does not comply with the specifications of the product.
  17. Do not install the product in a place where it may be exposed to water or moisture.
  18. Do not install the product in a place where it may be exposed to dust or dirt.
  19. Do not install the product in a place where it may be exposed to chemicals or gases.

Warning

Precaution

To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover (or back). No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.

Explanation of Graphic Symbols

A triangle with a lightning bolt and arrowhead inside is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

Installation

The camera is water-resistant and complies with IP67 standards. However, the female connector connected to the external cable is not. It is recommended to install this product below the edge of the eaves to prevent the cable from being exposed to the outside.

Precautions Before Installation

  • Install in a location (ceiling or wall) that can support 5 times the weight of the camera, including the installation bracket.
  • Loose or uninsulated cables can cause damage to the product or a fire.
  • For safety reasons, keep everyone away from the installation site.
  • If the product is subjected to excessive force, it may be damaged due to improper handling. As a precaution, store personal belongings separately.

Disassembly

  1. Hold the camera body with both hands as shown in the image and use your thumbs to turn the base slot counterclockwise and unlock the intermediate cover.
  2. Lift the intermediate cover to remove it.

How to Connect the Waterproof RJ45 Cable to a LAN Cable

  1. Insert the cable in the direction of the arrow.
  2. Connect the LAN connector (male) to the cable.
  3. Connect the modular RJ45 socket (female) to the RJ45 connector (male).
  4. Install by turning the modular RJ45 socket (female) and the RJ45 protection cover to the right (follow the arrow).
  5. Install by turning the RJ45 protection cover and the rear cover to the right (follow the arrow). When the rear cover is installed, the cable’s waterproof seal is firmly connected to make it waterproof.
