Himalayan Salt Lamp

Please read this manual carefully and keep it in a safe place.
WARNING

• This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• The salt lamp is only to be used with the power unit supply provided.
• Keep away from water. Do not use this product in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
• Do not immerse.

• Toreduce the risk of electric shock, remove/unplug the power cord from the outlet before cleaning, adding/replacing light bulbs or moving to a new location.

• This product is not recommended for use with an extension cord.

• DO NOT EAT: This salt lamp is not edible, keep away from children and pets.
• KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN: DO NOT allow children or pets to play or chew on cables or cords.
• Lamp and cords should be arranged neatly and away from common walking paths.
• DO NOT allow cord or dimmer switch to be stepped on.
• Keep away from direct sunlight.
• Keep cord clear from hot surfaces.
• DO NOT add or insert any foreign items into opening of lamp.
• DO NOT jerk, pinch or sharply bend electrical cord, especially while connected to power outlet.
• Unplug your lamp during lightning storms or extended periods of non-use.
• If water damage has occurred, stop use immediately.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

• This product is made from 100% natural and hand carved salt crystals imported from the Himalayan Mountains.
• Due to the natural excavation process, lamp shape, color, size and weight may vary.
• Each item includes a 15-watt bulb pre-installed within the lamp base.
• To prevent damage during transportation, the salt lamp will arrive protected with shrink-wrap. Please remove before use.
• Be cautious handling the lamp if left on for an extended period of time. The bulb will heat the salt and the surface of the lamp will become very warm.
• Whentumed on, this lamp will create a relaxing orange glow.

OPERATION

Changing the light bulb:

1. Unplug your lamp from the outlet. Note: Lamp surface and bulb may be hot, please allow time to cool.
2. With lamp lying on side, carefully pull to remove lamp base from bottom.
3. With base facing upright, twist the bulb counter-clockwise, remove and dispose. DO NOT prod or poke metal thread with finger or instrument.
4. Take the new bulb and twist it clockwise to secure into base.
5. With lamp lying on side, carefully insert the lamp base back into the lamp body.
6. Place lamp upright and plug in.

MAINTENANCE

1. Salt lamps are known to be hygroscopic, meaning they absorb moisture from the air. It is recommended that these lamps not be used in humid or moist quarters, for example shower rooms, bathrooms or humid outdoor patios.
2. lf you live ina humid climate, please be aware that your lamp may absorb moisture and drip. Make sure the salt body is dry before turning on. If your lamp is slightly damp, unplug and wipe with a towel before use.
3. If you notice that your lamp is “sweating” while turned on, wipe it down with a paper towel and place a dry rag or towel evenly underneath the base. DO Not use a paper towel or any type of plate to catch the water. Puddles of water forming under or around the lamp base can increase the risk of fire and/or shock.
4. To cleanand remove dust, wipe lamp gently with a slightly dampened towel or sponge. Dry with towel and allow the salt lamp time to dry before turning back on.
5. If you plan on leaving your lamp off for weeks at a time, it is recommended that you store the salt lamp within a sealed plastic bag or container to prevent the build-up of moisture within the salt.
