How do I upgrade an existing member?
This guide will show you how to upgrade an existing member’s membership as a club administrator
This guide will cover:
- How to log in
- How to view your members
- How to upgrade their membership
Log into your ` My BG account ‘ using your email address/username and password
Once you have logged in, click on the ` menu ‘ button in the top left corner
Once you have clicked on the menu tab, scroll down to the ` My Club ‘ section
Under this section there is a ` members ‘ tile, click this to view your members
You will see a list of individuals linked to your club
You can ` search ‘ for the member using the search bar
Click the relevant member
The member’s profile will pop up
Click on the ` Go to Membership ‘ button on the left-hand side
Click on their ` membership ‘
This will show as the home nation that your club is located within
Select the ` Add, Renew or Upgrade Your Membership ‘ button
Select which membership that you would like to upgrade the member to
Only the memberships that the individual is eligible for will appear here
Fill in the form, as if you were the member
You will need to agree to British Gymnastics Member Rules on behalf of the member, however, you will have included these in your club’s sign-up process
Complete/amend the remaining questions, where necessary
Click ` Checkout ‘ to proceed to payment
Clicking the checkout button will bring you to the checkout page
Here you will see the discounted fee of the unused portion of the previous membership, which has been taken off the total cost
Click either **Pay via bank** ‘ or Pay with card ‘, depending on which
payment method you prefer
Pay Via Bank
Fill in your bank details and click next
Pay With Card
Fill in your card details and click the blue pay button. Your payment will then process
Your payment will then be confirmed
When you view your Members page (as shown previously), you will be able to see the member’s upgraded membership
