Warnings

ATTENTION :
Read this booklet carefully as it contains important instructions for a safe installation, use and maintenance.
Important instructions to be kept for future reference.

The following basic precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances:

  1. Read all instructions before using the USB Charger.
    The USB Charger

  2. This USB Charger must be used only for the purpose it was expressly designed; any use NOT complying with the instructions contained in the manual is considered inappropriate and dangerous. The manufacturer is NOT responsible for possible damages caused by the inappropriate and/or unreasonable use.

  3. The installation of the USB Charger will be made in accordance with the indications of the manufacturer. A wrong procedure may cause damages to persons, animals or objects, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible.

  4. Before use, check the integrity of the USB Charger. DO NOT operate the USB Charger when it is damaged. In case you are not sure, contact a qualified person. If the USB Charger is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a qualified technician in order to avoid a shock hazard.

  5. Before powering the USB Charger make sure the rating (voltage and frequency) corresponding to the grid and the socket is suitable for the plug of the appliance, and that the wall socket is properly grounded.

  6. Check the USB Charger’s wattage rating, which is the amount of electricity it can safely transmit per second, and is provided either in watts or in amps and volts.(Multiply the amps and volts together to get the wattage rating.) The wattage rating must be greater than the appliance’s power requirement. If you plan to plug multiple appliances into a USB Charger (if possible), add their wattages together to make sure the total DOES NOT exceed the USB’s wattage rating.

  7. DO NOT attempt to connect multiple USB Chargers, or plug a USB Charger into an Extension Socket, or vice versa. This mistake can lead to fires, equipment failures and electrocution. Plugging two USB Chargers or USB Charger + Extension Socket together reduces their current capacity which will result in voltage drop and overheating.

  8. The USB Charger must NOT be switched on using external timers and/or other remote control appliances which are not specified in this manual.

  9. Only use original components & accessories provided by the manufacturer. Any non-original component or accessory NOT recommended by the manufacturer (including those made by other manufacturers or by the same manufacturer but for other models) may cause injuries to persons or damage to the USB Charger.

  10. The packing materials (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, etc.) must be kept out of the reach of children or disabled persons since they represent potential sources of danger.
    Location

  11. This USB Charger is NOT suitable to be used or stored near heat sources (open flame, ovens, heaters, stoves, etc.) and/or in an explosive environment (in the presence of flammable substances such as gas, vapour, mist or dust, in atmospheric conditions when, after ignition, the combustion is spread in the air). Items containing these substances should never be placed in the USB Charger, and never be used to clean the USB Charger in order to avert the risk of fire or explosion.

  12. The USB Charger should NOT be placed on a surface, or in the vicinity of objects which can be damaged by heat, such as carpets, curtains, textiles or plastics. DO NOT locate multiple USB Chargers close to each other. During operation, as heat is transferred away from the USB Charger, the surface that the USB Charger is placed upon as well the surface immediately above or adjacent to it may become very hot. If the USB Charger is operated on wooden furniture, use a protective pad to prevent damage to delicate finishes.

  13. Avoid placing the cable(s) of the appliance(s) plugged into the USB Charger on abrasive or sharp surfaces or in positions where it can be damaged easily. DO NOT damage a cable’s insulation by dropping tools or materials on them, pinching them in doors and windows or under heavy furniture, dropping tools or materials on them, or letting them hang in the air while their plugs are attached to the USB Charger.

  14. Avoid snagging the cable(s) of the appliance(s) plugged into the USB Charger. The USB Charger might be ripped from the wall socket as a result. This may cause injuries to persons or damage to the USB Charger.

  15. The USB Charger should be plugged into outlets in the same room where work is being performed. DO NOT run the cable(s) of the appliance(s) plugged into the USB Charger through walls, ceilings or floors. The cable must NOT be placed under carpets, or covered with throw rugs, runners or similar. If a cable is covered, heat cannot escape, which may result in a fire hazard.

  16. DO NOT use or store the USB Charger outdoors. Store and use the USB Charger only indoors, or in any case, protected from weather such as rain, direct radiation of the sun and dust. Outdoor USB Chargers have insulation that protects against moisture, sunlight and abrasion, so using an indoor USB Charger outdoors can create a fire hazard or result in electric shock.
