MAINTENANCE CARE GUIDE (Acrylic & Solid Surface Bathtub)

Care and Maintenance for ACRYLIC Bathtubs

  • For regular daily cleaning, utilize an approved acrylic cleaner. You may also opt for Formula 409 or Microban 24 Hour. Avoid the use of scouring pads or abrasive cleansers as they can diminish the surface.
    Rinse thoroughly after cleaning.

  • To address mineral deposits, a mixture of white vinegar and water can be employed to soften them.

  • For disinfection purposes, use 1/2 cup of Clorox Bleach per gallon of water. Avoid the use of original Clean Shower, Clean Shower for Plastic Showers & Glass, Ammonia, Aerosols, Acetone, Soft Scrub, Dawn dish soap, Dow disinfectant cleaner, Scrub Free, Fingernail polish remover, scouring pads, or Lysol disinfectant cleaner, as they may lead to a dull surface and chemical cracks.

  • Avoid abrasive cleaners, as they can gradually dull the gloss over the years. In cases where recommended cleaners prove ineffective, cautiously use a Chore Boy or 3M

  • Sponge pad designed for Teflon or non-stick surfaces.

Care and Maintenance for SOLID SURFACE Bathtubs Composite solid surface bathtubs are durable and offer a range of benefits. Made from a blend of minerals, resins, and additives, and known for their strength and resilience.

  • For regular daily cleaning, utilize an approved solid surface cleaner with nonabrasive cleaning solutions to cleanse the surface of your freestanding bathtub weekly. Refrain from using coarse cloths or scouring pads to protect the pristine finish of your solid surface bathtub.
  • Address mineral deposits by utilizing a solution of white vinegar and water to delicately soften them.
  • For disinfection, craft a solution by combining 1/2 cup of Clorox Bleach with a gallon of water.
  • Exercise discernment in product selection; AVOID using original Clean Shower, Clean Shower for Plastic Showers & Glass, Ammonia, Aerosols, Acetone, Soft Scrub, Dawn dish soap, Dow disinfectant cleaner, Scrub Free, Fingernail polish remover, scouring pads, Lestoil, or Lysol disinfectant cleaner, as they may induce a dull surface and chemical cracks.
  • In the event of scratches, meticulously rinse the tub surface to eliminate any dirt or dust. Proceed with two hundred grit sandpaper, using smooth and even strokes to ensure comprehensive coverage. As you progress, address dust removal with rags as needed.

MAINTENANCE CARE GUIDE (Carbon Fiber Bathtub)

Care and Maintenance for CARBON FIBER Bathtubs Carbon fiber is renowned for its exceptional durability, making it a popular material in various industries. Its high strength-to-weight ratio, stiffness, and resistance to corrosion contribute to its durability. Carbon fiber composites are known for being lightweight yet incredibly strong, outperforming traditional materials like steel and aluminum.

  • When cleaning carbon fiber, opt for a soft microfiber cloth to prevent surface scratches, avoiding abrasive sponges or brushes that may cause damage.
  • Utilize a gentle detergent mixed with warm water for cleaning carbon fiber, avoiding the use of harsh chemicals or acidic cleaners that could potentially harm the surface.
  • Address mineral deposits by employing a solution of white vinegar and water to delicately soften them.
  • After cleaning, ensure thorough drying of the carbon fiber to prevent the formation of water spots.
  • Enhance the luster of carbon fiber and eliminate swirls by polishing with a fine-grade scratch & swirl polish remover, along with lighter polishing pads. After polish application use a gentle detergent mixed with warm water and rinse the tub before use.
