DOOR TEMPLATE

Door Preparation
Before installation, ensure that the pre-drilled holes in the door match the sizes on the door template. Check that pre-drilled holes in the door match the sizes on the door template before installation.

WARNING: Only drill into the door if you are skilled in safe drill operation and fully understand the steps.

1. Use the template and pencil to mark the door.

2. Drill the holes from both sides of the door to prevent wood splitting.

3. Chisel out a mortise 5/32” (3 mm) deep.
   Note: If you prefer not to chisel, an alternative installation method using the drive-in collar will be explained later.
   

4. Prepare the door jamb by using the strike plate as a guide. Drill latch and screw holes, then chisel out a mortise until the strike plate fits flush.

6. 1-3/16″ (30 mm)

7. 1-9/16″(40 mm)

8. 1″ (25 mm)

9. Strike plate size

10. 5/32″ (4 mm)

11. 2-3/4″ (70 mm)

12. 1-1/8″ (28 mm)

13. Attach the dust box and reinforced strike plate to the door jamb using the 3″ (76mm) screws (2×).

14. Attach the strike plate using the 3/4″ (19 mm) screws (2×).

Latch Installation

1. Install the correct faceplate on the edge of the door.

2. To prepare for the no-chisel drive-in collar method, remove the pre-installed outer plate from the latch using a flathead screwdriver, and slide off the inner plate. Attach the drive-in collar.

3. Adjust the latch backset length by twisting it 180°.
   CAUTION! Ensure the cam latch is positioned “UP” before adjusting the backset.

4. Install the latch using the 3/4″ (19 mm) wood screws (2×).

5. Tap latch flush. Use a wooden block (not included) between the hammer and the drive-in latch to prevent damage.

6. If using the no-chisel drive-in collar method, remove the pre-installed outer plate from the latch, slide off the inner plate, and attach the drive-in collar.

7. Tap the latch flush using a wooden block between the hammer and the drive-in latch to prevent damage.

Lock Assembly Installation
Proceed with installing the lock assembly following the provided instructions.

1. The door bore size options: Ø 2-1/8” (54 mm)
2. For Ø 1-1/2” (38 mm) Use pliers and a flathead screwdriver to remove the pre-installed mounting plate pieces to prepare for installation.
3. Install the lock assembly:
4. Ensure the latch bolt is retracted.
5. Thread the cable through the hole and under the latch.
6. Place the exterior lock assembly against the door.
7. Position the raised part of the mounting plate against the door.
