Installation:
-
• Double check to be certain that the water is shut off at the service stops before you begin.
• If necessary, remove the old faucet.
• Clean the mounting area and surface, and dry thoroughly.
• Insert the new faucet in the mounting hole. NOTE: If you are using an optional deck plate, install it now. Simply set the deck plate into place over the faucet mounting hole and drop the faucet through the deck plate hole as you also drop it through the countertop hole. Once the faucet is securely installed in place, it will hold the deck plate in place.
• If using the stabilizer flange, install it now. Stabilizer flanges should be used with thin or flexible countertops, and with stainless steel sinks. The stabilizer should be installed with the flat triangular side facing up, and the tube side facing down, then be slid onto the faucet shaft from underneath the countertop to help stabilize the faucet from below. -
Slide the mounting hardware onto the shaft of the faucet from the underside keeping the water supply lines inside the mounting ring. The order of mounting hardware should be, starting with the first on, closest to the underside of the countertop: (1st) rubber seal,(2nd) stainless steel washer, (3rd) mounting ring.
-
Tighten the mounting ring and all parts and insert the 3 screws provided with the faucet into the 3 corresponding holes on the mounting ring. Tighten using the Phillips head screwdriver. CAUTION: Do NOT over tighten or use a power drill to tighten the screws.
-
Connect the pullout hose into the quick connection.
-
Install the weight to the pullout hose above the loop on the pullout side. Install by unscrewing the screws holding the barrel of the weight closed. Open the weight and enclose the pullout hose into the fitted opening inside the weight. Finish by securely closing the weight and replacing the screws to hold it closed, enclosing the pullout hose within.
-
Attach the water supply lines to the hot and cold service stops and turn on the water. The hot supply line can be identified by red markings on the supply line, and the cold supply line by blue markings; some hoses may have both red and blue markings and are suitable for use with either line.
-
Remove the spray-head, by gently pulling it down and twisting clockwise to unscrew it from its connection. Hold the hose and be sure to aim the water stream into the bottom of the drain to reduce splashing. Run the water for 1-2 minutes at a mixed temperature to remove any dirt or debris that may be in the line and could damage the spray-head.
-
Reattach the spray-head and check for leaks.
