Product Usage Instructions
Camera Mounting
- Use the mounting template to drill holes for screws, then insert the drywall anchors.
- Drill a hole for the camera’s cable if you plan to run it through the mounting surface.
- Use the screws to mount the camera base to the surface.
- If running cables along a wall/ceiling, pass the cable through the cable notch.
- Feed the camera’s cable through the camera base, then connect the cables.
- Loosen the adjustment screws, position your camera as needed, then tighten to secure it in place.
- Remove the vinyl film from the camera lens once installation is complete.
Camera Connection
Connect your camera directly to your recorder using the camera’s Ethernet
extension cable.
Weather-resistant Cap
Twist the Ethernet extension cable’s pre-attached weather-resistant cap
securely onto your camera’s Ethernet connector. If exposed to regular
precipitation, seal the cap with silicone and electrical tape.

Q: What should I do if I don’t have a regulated power supply?
A: A regulated power supply is required for this product. Using a non- regulated power supply can damage the product and void the warranty. It is recommended to purchase a regulated power supply compatible with the camera. -
Q: How do I adjust the motion detection zone for the camera?
A: The motion detection zone can be adjusted in the camera settings on your recorder. Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions on customizing the motion detection zone.

Safety Precautions
- Follow all instructions for safe use and handling of the product.
- Use the camera within given temperature, humidity and voltage levels noted in the camera specifications.
- Do not disassemble the camera.
- Do not point the camera directly at the sun or a source of intense light.
- Periodic cleaning may be required. Use a damp cloth only. Do not use any harsh, chemical-based cleaners.
- The supplied cable is rated for surface mounting only (Non-UL). Cables for in-wall and floor-to-floor installations are sold separately (CMR type). These and other cables are available at lorex.com.
- It is recommended to connect the camera to the NVR or an external PoE switch. If using a power adapter with this camera, a REGULATED power supply is REQUIRED (not included). Use of a non-regulated, non-conforming power supply can damage this product and voids the warranty.

Camera Placement Tips
Important! Ensure the mounting surface can support at least 3 times your camera’s weight. Location: Place your camera in a wide, open space. Avoid placing it near any obstructions. Height: Install your camera at a height of 10 ft (3 m) above the ground.
- Angle: Angle your camera outwards by 15°. Avoid angles greater than 30°.
- Distance: Place your camera within 22-65 ft (7-20 m) of points of interest.
Camera Mounting
- Use the mounting template to drill holes for screws, then insert the drywall anchors. Drill a hole for the camera’s cable if you plan to run it through the mounting surface.

- Color nighttime video typically switches to black & white IR night vision when there is not sufficient ambient light to ensure optimal low-light image quality.
- Stated IR illumination range is based on ideal conditions in typical outdoor nighttime ambient lighting (up to 98ft/30m in total darkness). Actual range and image clarity depends on installation location, viewing area and light reflection/absorption.
- Audio recording is disabled by default. Audio recording without consent is illegal in certain jurisdictions. Lorex Technology does not assume liability for any use of its product that fails to conform with local laws.
- Not intended for submersion in water. Installation in a sheltered location recommended.
