Polder 898 Digital Timer and Stopwatch
PRECAUTIONS
- DD NOT get water on the housing.
- DO NOT clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive compound. It may scratch the plastic and corrode the electronic circuit.
- DO NOT subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust, temperature, direct sunlight, heavy exposure to water or humidity, which may result in malfunction, shorter electronic life span, battery damage or distorted parts.
- DO NOT tamper with the unirs internal components. It will invalidate the warranty.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
if this is the first time you are using the 3-in-1 Clock, Stopwatch & Timer be sure to remove the protective plastic strip from the battery compartment as well as the display label from the LCD screen.
TO SET CLOCK
- Press and hold CLOCK button until display disappears (about 3 seconds)
- Press l 2hr=24hr button (on the back of the unit) to switch between 12 hour and 24 hour settings. AM will appear on the display when In 12 hour mode.
- Press START /STOP to switch between AM and PM.
- Press the number keys “O” through “9” to actual time. Press CLEAR if an incorrect number is selected. Note: for the hours between l and 9, ‘O’ must be entered before selecting the hour.
(NOTE: /he seconds must olso be set in order for /he clock to funclion)
COUNT UP / STOPWATCH
- Press COUNT-UP button and the words ‘COUNT UP’ will appear on the display.
- Press START /STOP to start count-up feature.
- Press START /STOP again to pause counting.
- Press START /STOP again to resume counting.
- Press START /STOP then CLEAR to reset the timer to 0:00:00.
(NOTE: to lock /he keypad simply move /he switch on /he side of /he limer (near /he strap/ to ‘LOCK’. This will disable /he keypad. To unlock /he keypad, move /he switch to ‘UNLOCK’. All buttons are disabled when keypad is locked.)
TIMER
- Press TIMER button and the word ‘TIMER’ will appear on thedisplay.
- Press the number keys “0” through “9” to desired timing period. (Example, to set the timer to 5 minutes (0:05 oo] press “5 • followed by two ·o·)
- Press START /STOP to start countdown.
- Press START /STOP again to pause counting.
- Press START /STOP a third time to resume counting.
- When desired time is reached the alarm will sound for 1-minute and the timer will count-up until the START /STOP button is pressed.
- Once the START /STOP button is pressed the timer will remember the last time entered.
- Press CLEAR to reset the timer to 0:00:00.

TO INSTALL BATTERY
- Battery door Is located on the back of the unit.
- Slide open battery door in direction of the arrow.
- Insert one “LR44” battery (included) into the compartment. The “+” sign should be facing out. The timer will beep when the battery is properly installed.
- Replace the cover by sliding back Into place.
ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Paider will repair or at its option replace this product without charge,other than shipping charges, if it is returned to the address below with shipping charges prepaid, as being defective, within one year of the date of purchase and provided that inspection by the company indicates it is defective because of faulty workmanship or material. Please save your original receipt for this limited one year warranty to be valid. This limited warranty does not cover damage to this product through accident or misuse, nor does it cover any incidental expense to the user resulting from the non-function or malfunction of this product.
