IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

If this is your first time using the Twist Digital Kitchen Timer please be sure to remove the protective insulation tape from the battery compartment and the protective sheet for the LCD screen before use.

TO INSTALL/CHANGE BATTERY
Warning: batteries may pose a choking hazard. Do not let children handle batteries.
This item uses three AAA batteries. Batteries should be removed from the Twist Digital Kitchen Timer if consumed or if the product is to be left unused for a duration of time. It is recommended to clean all battery contacts prior to installation.
Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use.
Ensure the battery is installed correctly with regard to polarity(+ and-).
Remove used battery promptly.

  1. The battery door is located on the back of the unit.
  2. On the back of the unit, press and slide the battery cover in the direction of the arrow to remove
  3. Align the positive and negative sides of the battery with the positive and (-) negative symbols in the battery compartment.
  4. Slide and snap the battery cover back into place.

DISPOSAL OF USED BATTERIES.

Batteries may contain hazardous substances which could endanger the environment and human health. This symbol marked on the battery and/or packaging indicates that the used battery shall not be treated as municipal waste. instead, it shall be left at the appropriate collection point for recycling. By ensuring the used batteries are disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health. The recycling of materials wins helps conserve natural resources. For more information about the collection and recycling of used batteries, please contact your local municipality, your waste disposal service, or the point of sale where you purchased this product.

NOTE: THE UNIT DOES NOT HAVE AN ON/OFF FUNCTION.

ALARM MODE SETTING

There is a switch on the back side of the unit, to the right of the battery compartment, to select between silent or audible alarms. If you would like the alert to be silent with only the backlit display illuminating when time has been reached flip the switch downward toward the icon. If you would prefer a loud, 60-second alarm in addition to the backlit alert then flip the switch upward toward the icon.

BACKLIGHT SETTING
There is a switch on the back side of the unit, to the left of the battery compartment, to select your preferred backlight mode. If you would like the standard backlight setting, flip the switch upward toward the icon. If you would prefer the lowest backlight level, flip the switch downward toward the icon.

TO SET TIMER

  1. Turn the stainless steel ring to set the desired time. Rotate clockwise to increase by second increments, and rotate counter-clockwise to decrease by second increments. NOTE: time can only be set when the timer is in stop or reset mode.
  2. After the time has been set, press the buttons once to start the countdown. The orange light will flash on the digital display.
  3. When the timer counts down to 00:00, the alarm will activate and sound for 60-seconds (if the audible alert has been selected).

TO RESET TIMER

If the user has entered the wrong time reset the timer to 00:00 by pressing the button for a few seconds.

TO USE THE COUNT-UP FEATURE

  1. Press and hold the button for a few seconds to reset the time to 00:00.
  2. Press the button to start count-up.
  3. Press the button again to stop count-up. If the button is not pressed, the timer will automatically stop once it reaches 99 minutes, 59 seconds.

AUTO-OFF FEATURE
The display will automatically switch off 6-seconds after the countdown / count-up is complete.

PRECAUTIONS:

  1. Do not clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive compounds. It may scratch the plastic and corrode the electronic circuit.
  2. Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust, temperature, direct sunlight, or heavy exposure to water or humidity, which may result in malfunction, shorter electronic life span, battery damage, or distorted parts.
  3. Do not tamper with the unit’s internal components. It will invalidate the warranty.

ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY:

Polder will repair or at its option replace this product without charge, other than shipping charges, if it is returned to the address below with shipping charges prepaid, as being defective, within one year of the date of purchase and provided that inspection by the company indicates it is defective because of faulty workmanship or material. Please save your original receipt for this limited one-year warranty to be valid. This limited warranty does not cover damage to this product through accident or misuse, nor does it cover any incidental expense to the user resulting from the non-function or malfunction of this product.
