REMOVAL & REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING CLUTCH INTERLOCK SWITCH POSITION & RETENTION CLIP
Warning: The Clutch Interlock Switch Position & Retention Clip must be installed for the proper function of the clutch actuation system.
Installation And Using Instructions
- You will need to remove the interlock switch from the master cylinder pushrod. Slide a flat-blade screwdriver under the white cover of the switch assembly and apply pressure to lift over the retention tab.
- Lift the switch cover and remove it from the switch.
- To remove the switch, push down on the switch un-clipping it from the pushrod. Continue pulling down on the switch to remove the location tab from the retention clip.
- Take note of how clip ends are locked in behind the position tabs on the master cylinder housing. Will need to make sure that the clip ends are in the same position when the clip is assembled to the new master cylinder housing.
- Lift slightly on the ends of the clip until the clip can slide up onto the bore opening of the master cylinder.
- Slide clip off the end of the old master cylinder.
- Spread the ends of the clip apart and slide over the bore end of the new master cylinder.
- Slide the clip down into the groove of the new master cylinder making sure that the clip ends lock in behind the location tabs as shown in step 1.
- Reinstall the switch and cover.
Note: Installation orientation of clip/switch is critical!
